The location is perfect, right in the centre, the view from the terrace is fantastic. The shower is great. The windows insulate well , there was heating in the room, which we needed. There is an aircon and ventillator, must be essential in the summer. The host, Claudio, is very kind and flexible. He forgot I asked for separate beds with my friend and I, but arranged them for the next day.

The single beds are way too narrow, like camping bunkbeds for kids. We were afraid to turn on them, for fear of falling down. The very central location means noise at night, so if you are sensitive to that, bring earbuds. This is not a negative really, it comes from the location, so prepare for it.

So much to like starting with Claudio & the lady who kept our room in pristine condition - grazie! The location is absolute perfection for visiting all this amazing city has to offer. The room is bright, has air-con, a ceiling fan, lovely en-suite bathroom facilities and a wonderful balcony! The breakfast served each morning was a bonus.

Great location in historic centre. On a very busy pedestrianised road full of restaurants but 5 floors up all was peaceful. Lovely balcony to sit out on. Really modern well fitted out room. Owner has spent a lot of time and trouble to make this 3 room B&B a lovely stay.

The breakfast was ok but simple fresh products could have made this so much better. But there is no need for this to put you off as right outside the door are loads of cafes and breakfast was secondary to all the other positives this place has to offer.

in midst of old centre of Palermo. everything by foot. nice balcony for breakfast or relax end of the day. owner Claudio is very friemdly and helpful. knows the city very well and thus bood advice. whole day really crowded outside down the street but at night quiet. good and necessary airco, at least in summer parking Maqueda is 100 meters from b&b witch really helpful manager. just to park because seeing the centre by car is mission impossibke.

Perfect location! Was safe at night as it was literally on the main road of restaurants & cafes. Clean & comfortable. Claudio was great help too.

A little difficult to find the property - large signage at the front would be helpful. But this was really no problem.

We had the same Italian breakfast everyday consisting of yogurt, granola, toast, fresh croissants and cappuccino What made it special it was delivered each morning at 9 am by the host to our small deck overlooking the street. The B&B is on the 5th floor. The elevator is small but we were glad it was there . The best thing is the location which is close walking distance to everything' The apartment building is on the busiest pedestrian street in the historic center.

Could have had more storage, but this apartment is in the historic center. On the weekend the the street below was pretty loud. We knew the address but there is no signage, just a speaker box with name of B&B. We were at the front door but didn't know it.

3 nights in May. Very center of historic district, a block from the Quattro Canti and Fontana Pretoria, and a 5 minute walk from the airport shuttle bus stop on Via Roma 265/Vucciria. We walked 17 minutes to central station for a day trip to Cefalù (by train) and 17 minutes to piazza Indipendenza for the bus to Monreale. On the 5th floor (top) of an old building. No sign outside the building so look for the building number. There is an intercom with a button marked B&B Vivere. The old style lift (open cage) can accommodate 2 persons with carry-on bags, else you take turns if you have bigger bags. We were given 3 keys, typical of old buildings. Also, the old building scent on the ground floor. We had a nice breeze in our room from our terrace. Many souvenir shops, restaurants, bars, mini markets, etc at the doorstep. So convenient. My husband is 6ft tall, I’m 5’2. Our room was small but we only had carry on bags so size did not bother us. Having the terrace door open was a bonus. Our queen bed was comfortable. Linens were clean. Water pressure and temperature excellent. TV and wifi worked. Loved the terrace. Claudio provided what we considered a substantial breakfast of cappuccino, juice, croissant, yogurt, cereal and toast which we leisurely enjoyed on our terrace. He also gave us a paper map which came in handy when our iphone power got very low. B&B is on busy pedestrian block of via Maqueda. Great people watching. Our room was sound proofed but not enough 9pm-midnight when street music was blasting. Don’t know how much livelier and later it gets on weekends and summer. IF you are a light sleeper and need to be in bed by 10pm, this room will not work for you. We managed fine since we did our email, the news, etc until midnight. From the terrace, we were vicariously participating in the festivities below. And we slept fine until 9am. Good value? YES !

Just an inconvenience, not a dislike. The shower door did not close snugly so we spilled water outside while showering. Have referred to Claudio.

The bed and pillows were the most comfortable that I have ever had in Italy. The breakfast delivery with fresh pastries each morning was nice. I had a nice wrap-around balcony. The floor tile in my room was very cute.

The street below is very noisy for almost all of the day and night. With the windows closed, it sounds like a distant murmur, but it could bother some people. You can't throw toilet paper in the toilet (which is fine) but then the TINY waste bin was never emptied (I had to ask after two days). Also, it was late at night when I realized that a new roll of TP was not left and I was out. Luckily the owner was available by whatsapp, so he came right over to bring more.

Super location Claudio was a great host who couldn’t have been more helpful - huge choice of restaurants and bars on the doorstep but fantastic soundproofing meant no problem sleeping

Took a while to find on the Main Street

The location was absolutely the best! the apartment is on the main walking street and is in the center of everything. also,as the apartment is on 5th floor,the noises from the street do not disturb. Another advantage was the terrace. it was big with the view over the buildings and walking street,and the sun was shining on the terrace the whole day. perfect place for breakfast or just chilling with some wine glass in the evening. Apartment was clean and beds were extra comfy!

I guess for me it was a bit weird that the host was living in the same apartment.But probably it’s just my issue and some people wouldn’t care about it.
