Location is excellent and the roof terrace is an added bonus. The room was clean and comfortable, at a reasonable price. Breakfast was good and staff friendly and helpful.

The only issue I had was that it was very noisy. Looking at other reviews this may have been an exception but I was on the first floor beside the lift and stairs so there was a lot of coming and going and door banging as well as someone walking around in heels above me early in the morning! I would come back but make sure to ask for a quiet room.

The location was superb. Our room was massive with a fridge containing complimentary large and small bottles of water and a small bottle of Prosecco, The bathroom had a lovely walk in shower and as well as the normal shower gel etc, it also had complimentary toothbrushes, toothpaste, slippers and more towels than we needed. The breakfast selection was the best we’ve ever experienced and in the breakfast room the tables were well spaced apart. As well as the excellent self service coffee machine there was plenty of fresh filter coffee available too. There is a lovely roof terrace which you can see the leaning tower from. We took our pre-dinner drinks from the bar up there.

Nothing. We couldn’t fault the hotel at all. The manager gave us a map and pointed out the places of interest and the route to follow.

Overall a very pleasant stay. Air con in the room was much needed, and the room itself was comfortable, clean and quiet. Bed was very comfortable too. Staff were friendly enough and all spoke English to us. The breakfast was just fine, help yourself and relax type. All the usual continental breakfast options. Nothing spectacular, but plenty of it, and ideal to set you up for the day. A five minute walk from the leaning tower, if that’s your interest. We used the mini fridge in the room to keep our own drinks cool! Overall, we’d definitely use the hotel again if we were heading back to Pisa, so we were happy with it. The free taxi that Booking.com supplied, to get to the hotel from Pisa airport, was useful and on time, by the way.

Minor stuff. Orange juice at breakfast wasn’t juice - more like diluted orange cordial. No public toilet in the hotel - toilets only in the rooms.

I loved the location, the friendliness of the staff, and most of all the Air Conditioning!!! It allowed for my fiance and I to sleep wonderfully, as compared to other hotels during out stay. Most European hotels advertise A/C but this was perfect. If you want a comfy night's rest, after a long day of heat in the summer. Definitely pick this one. The showers were super spacious as well! Way larger than normal tiny European style. 100% recommended to anyone.

Everything was likable! Centralized location, nice bars, and restaurants around, as well as a bar at the bottom of the hotel!

Pisa is usually a day trip for tourists. We wanted to experience the city in some more depth. Hotel Di Stefano was perfect for us. Old building on the outer edge of the tourist trail: We walked to The Tower; and then walked back “home”; ate lovely food at restaurants just around the corner; slept soundly in a big bed with a firm mattress. The shower is outstanding and set us up for the day. Our room (203) was not spacious but it is comparable to Premier Inn/Travelodge. However, it has a small balcony (fresh air) and nice perspective of Pisa rooftops and gardens - gives a small insight into local life which puts it into another class. The view from the fourth floor terrace is grand. You can see many bell towers and, of course, one very famous one, in particular. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Grazie. All in all, a great place and great location for a visit to Pisa

Not much. Maybe a larger fridge and tea/coffee machine but I get that this is a culture thing. Plenty of excellent coffee just around the corner.

We had one day and night in Pisa ahead of flying home after 2 weeks in Italy. It’s fair to say that everything outdid our expectations. The city was lovey. A real university vibe with all sorts of lively squares for a drink / food. All very compact and walkable and airport v close The hotel was lovely. Family owned on a quiet street but right in the old town. Good sized room which was quiet with very comfortable bed and excellent air conditioning. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good and good value

Nothing to dislike

Excellent central location, easy walk to tower.etc. Close to shopping areas, restaurants, cafes and bars, also a 20 minute walk to the train station which is ideal for travelling to Florence, Lucca and coast..Breakfast was good could have had a bit more choice but dining room very traditional and welcoming..The room was roomy and very traditional style and had a balcony which was a bonus! Staff were friendly and helpful.

No safe in room, coul have done with a waste basket in room only had one on the bathroom.

The room, location, and view are great. It is just a 5-8 min walk to pisa, and there are plentiful of caffes and restaurants around the area. Plus point for accomodating us even though we have arrived really late. They have also assisted us in booking a taxi which can be challenging since there is no taxi-hailing app in pisa. The view at their roofdeck is amazing as well will definitely stay here again.

So friendly - staff made us feel welcome like it was a home-from-home. We were able to leave our bags well ahead of check-in, and also leave them on the day we left - extending the time we could explore the lovely city of Pisa. Breakfast was amazing - fresh and plentiful, and a nice array of choices - croissants, bread, toast, juices, coffee, cereal, pastries, fresh fruit, (really nice selection, including perfectly-ripe kiwis!) Hotel is right smack in the middle of Pisa - 1-200m from the leaning tower, and 50m from the City wall, and 50m from an array of restaurants. The real bonus is the roof terrace, which you can sit out on - which has a front-row view of the Leaning Tower and Duomo, and a perfect place to enjoy a sunset. We bought a bottle of nice wine from the supermarket, and the hotel gave us glasses, so we enjoyed a spectacular sunset - I really can't rate this hotel highly enough!! Room was more like a suite than a room, with lovely bathroom, hallway, and everything you need for your stay. Lovely furniture, and comfy beds, with extra blankets and pillows in the wardrobe for those who wanted them, (that is always me!)

There was nothing we did not like about the hotel. Superb attention to detail, and friendly staff - a great combination.

Location is great. This hotel is in the pedestrian area halfway between the train station and the tower. Breakfast was excellent, good variety of food. Room was basic but perfectly suited to a short stay.

Staff didn't engage at all. No tips for sightseeing. We even found the rooftop terrace completely by accident (there are two so we were initially disappointed until we found the other one. Bedroom was fine, decor very dated, almost olde world but missed the mark..We had booked a room with a balcony but it was at the back overlooked by other rooms so no views and not really usable. However this is a centre city location so perhaps expectations were a little too high
