The staff were lovely and extremely helpful. The breakfast was simple but had some very good options that set you up fine for the day. The bed was very comfortable. Some good food choices close by and the location was brilliant if you want to be close to the Termini Railway station and metro and bus links to other parts of the city. There was even a bus stop right out front that had two bus routes that took you to direct to Termini if you have large bags with you.

We booked a room that was supposed to include a balcony, and none was available when we checked in.

The staff - very kind and very nice. Cleaning - 10 :). One of the cleanest places I've stayed. The location - close to the termini, quiet and beautiful area. There is a local tavern 100 meters from the location, we recommend it. For the price - quality ratio, it was excellent. The room is bright, beautiful, clean. The bathroom and shower - wonderful.

Pillows - were incredibly high and hard, but after the first night I asked the reception for two extra pillows, and they were better. Breakfast is very basic, don't have any expectations, for us who don't eat much in the morning, it was alright. The only minus was the fact that there are only 7 tables available, and one morning we had to wait in line to eat. If you want fresh food, and not typical Italian breakfast, you should skip it :) Noise - even though I had the room on the 5th floor, you could hear the traffic from the cars quite loudly.

I was in a business trip, a week of activities as Sapienza University of Rome, to which this is very close. I appreciated the serenity of the room, the efficiency and atmosphere of the breakfast room with other mostly business guests, and the charm of the stairway corridor with the vintage elevator. Very much Rome. Also in the street there are two great little bars and a fine authentic osteria, and I do not regret at all to have eaten there 4 out of 6 evenings. It is more a home (pied de terre) than a hotel I would say.

It is what it is, I generally liked it all for what it is. It is not a hotel with a lobby or so to hang out, but the bar in the street makes up for that.

We stayed at Domus Castrense for 3 nights near the end of our European holiday. It was fairly close to Termini station. We walked there dragging our luggage. When we found it, it was just a big closed wooden door and on entry there was a smaller staircase and then an old fashionsed cage lift going up to the reception and then further up to a different floor where our room was. Conveniently enough the breakfast room was on our floor too , the 5th. Breakfast was continental style with pastries, juice, yoghurts, fruit, coffee etc There were a couple of restauants nearby so we didn't have to walk back up past the station for dinner. Would have loved a kettle or coffee machine in the room. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was small if you have 2 large suitcases like we did...... but at least fairly fresh, modern and newish.

Our stay ay Domus Castrense was absolutely delightful! From the moment we arrived, we was greeted warmly by the friendly staff who ensured a smooth check-in process. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location was ideal not far from termini station and it was very easy to get wherever you want. Overall, I highly recommend this small boutique hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay. I can't wait to return!"

breakfast, if you stay 7 nights its still the same and you havent taste eat it againg , worst thing was that there wasnt any vegetables, cheese, eggs maybe some sausage etc...

The staff was very friendly. I got a dry cough and was losing my voice in the middle of our stay in Rome and the lady at the reception brought in a tray of tea, honey and a kettle without me even asking for it. That was vey thoughtful! The room was clean and the cleaning services throughout our stay were well done. The breakfast was really nice. We also found the location convenient - near the main train station, the mahor touristic attractions were only 2-3 subway stations away and even a walking distance if you prefer that..

Room was lovely and location was perfect for what we needed (near enough to transport and not too close to the crowds). The breakfast room was lively, very simple breakfast but more than we expected based on others reviews (pastries, cereal, fruit, jams etc.) Staff were so lovely and everyone was helpful.

A little difficult to find on first day but once we noticed the sign it became obvious.

The room was very comfortable, clean and looked new. We had everything we needed. Our host helped us with tips on where to eat and how to get around. They were very responsive to our questions. Breakfast was great, options of cereal, yoghurt, fresh fruit, pastries and barista coffee included in our stay. We were on the fifth floor, the elevator was a lifesaver with our heavy bags. Location was great, close to Termini Station which connects both the red and blue train lines and is very helpful for visiting the sites of Rome.

The room was very clean, we had cleaning services every day, everything worked super ok ( shower pressure , hot/cold water, WiFi, tv, the mini bar ), it’s close to the Roma Termini train station , it’s placed in a quiet zone, the personnel was friendly.

The room is pretty small, but it will do if you just want to sleep and rest after a long day of walking through the city.
