We stayed for 5 nights at Hotel Barrett and couldn’t recommend it enough. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our room (there are stairs up to the hotel although our room was on reception level) - the staff were all absolutely amazing the whole time we were there. we were given a full welcome pack with tours the hotel had mapped out and so much information. Plus an extensive list of restaurants to try! The room itself was so unique (room 18) statues in the walls! We really felt we got an experience! The room was so well equipped, including a massage chair, foot massager and foot spa! These genuinely saved us every night! The bathroom had everything we could have needed! The room also came with the most AMAZING breakfast bar and drinks I’ve ever seen. We were blown away by the choice and it was so appreciated. You do leave your key when you go out but this worked really well for us, the staff knew to turn our room around and stock the fridge while we were out and we never had to worry about losing our key! Location was also perfect, so close to everything! We would absolutely be back. I can’t recommend Hotel Barrett enough!!

The hotel is very quant with lots of statues and paintings situated in the lobby and our room (18). I can imagine not to everyone’s taste but we found it authentic. The location is faultless situated in the heart of everything. We were able to walk to every landmark with no need for public transport however there is a bus stop and taxi rank directly outside the hotel if needed. Breakfast is provided in your room with a small fridge filled with meats, yogurts, uht milk and drinks. There is also pastries, crisps and cereal replenished daily. Room was very clean and had a massage chair, foot massager and foot spa which was a nice touch. Having compared hotel pricing this was very good value for money. Staff were friendly and informative and we felt it was very secure. Overall we would highly recommend and return if we visit again.

The pillows were not very comfy and we were unfortunate enough to have the guest above us snoring very loudly. Not the hotels fault. The tv also had no sound but we never reported it as didn’t have time to watch it anyway. Small faults that don’t impact your stay.

Quite possibly the best hotel we have ever stayed in! The staff were so friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble! They even gave us a bottle of Italian fizz when we arrived which was a lovely touch. The room was decorated beautifully and every detail had been thought of. The bed was super comfortable and we had clean towels every day (as lovely as this was not sure if this was necessary from an environmental perspective though!) The feet and chair massager was a great treat after a long day walking around Rome and shampoo/conditioner was provided along with other little bits like a toothbrush and razor. The breakfast was easily the best part of staying at this hotel, to have it in the room with such a variety was something I have never experienced before and everything was replenished every day. Had yogurts, meats, croissants, different types of drinks, crisps, tomatoes, fresh fruit, and basically everything that you could think of. It wasn't noisy and the room had aircon but we didn't use that so can't comment. The location was fab, everything was within walking distance. The only thing to note is that it is up a few flights of stairs to get to the main entrance of the hotel so may be difficult with big suitcases. Overall an amazing little hotel and I will be recommending it to family and friends should they visit Rome

Nothing, it was perfect!

Everything was amazing. Everyone was very kind, with really attentive care. 24/7 reception was a huge plus as well! Also great idea to provide food and drinks directly in the fridge so you can hve breakfast in the room or on the go, whenever you like. Lovely touches to the interior decor, felt like more of a museum. The beds were comfy and the room was warm with good windows that opens properly to let in fresh air. And the location was excellent, i didn't even need to use transit for most of the time here. Max 25 min walk to most places like the Vatican, colluseum, trevi fountain. This hotel was honestly so nice i need to start rating other places less in comparison 😅

Hotel Barrett was full of character and a perfect place to stay while in Rome. It is directly across from Largo di Torre Argentina - the place where Ceaser died and our room had a direct view over these magnificent ruins. Check in was easy and we were led to the room and given personal instructions for how everything worked. There was a large selection of food in the room including pastries, bread, cheeses, olives, meats and drinks which were all inclusive of the price of the stay (we have not come across this fantastic offering anywhere else in our travels). This location has a bus stop directly outside and a taxi rank a few steps away which made getting around the city easy. We also walked to all the major attractions with ease. There was someone at the check in desk 24/7 so if you need anything, help is easy to access.

The room was very small but still suitable for our 3 night stay.

This was a lovely little hotel it was quaint and the staff was very helpful. The room was adorable and the location was perfect.

There was too much stuff in the room and it was hard to move around. We kept bumping into tables and wall decorations. Also, there was too much packaged food in the fridge and we could barely fit a bottle of water in it. The pre packaged pastries were really bad but we appreciated the foccaccia bread and cream cheese for breakfast. There are a lot of stairs, which was hard for my elderly mother, however it was fine for me.

The location was perfect , within walking distance of every place we wanted to visit. Overlooking ancient ruins , perfect view from our window. We were given a welcome bottle of wine on arrival and pasta when we left , a very nice gesture. Staff were very nice and there was always someone on reception. The room was perfectly clean and was serviced every day with clean towels . Snacks in room in abundance. Could do with cutting those back to a few croissants and fruit. This is a very quirky hotel , and the rooms are not like any place I have ever stayed in , not for the faint hearted lol

I'm sorry to say its a bit over board with decoration, the lobby is lovely and very unique but i think they could scale back with the decor in the bedrooms. The idea of the foot spa and foot massager is a bit 70's and I found a bit ick , thinking of all the people using them. (Never used them 😖) In need of some new pillows and the duvet never had a cover on it, which was strange. One last thing drinking out of paper cups is horrible in a hotel room I would have loved a decent cup or mug .

The location, staff and a breakfast was unbelievable! The fridge was full with the meats, snacks, and so on, also there was the champagne and the beer every day for free! ( the fridge is really full, you can do the breakfast, lunch and the dinner, it is very full!!!) The location is perfect and the staff is so kind and help you any time with the everything!!

Only the reason if you take the property to 3 person in of the room the A/C condition blowing direct to the third bed, the reason is that the building is ancient and they did bot have the choice, but this may cause the problem to people who more than 2.

If you want to be in the heart of Rome this is the hotel. 5 minute walk to the Pantheon and overlooking old ruins, this hotel is the perfect location for a reasonable price. The roads are busy outside but with the window shut you don’t hear a thing. Staff are very friendly and polite. The rooms are quirky. Don’t expect big rooms. You’re in an old building in central Rome-that doesn’t exist! And besides you don’t come to Rome to stay inside! The room has a fridge stocked with all sorts of food and drink and pastries for breakfast. I couldn’t believe this was all included in the price! Would I stay again? Yes.

I had the most incredible stay at this hotel! Firstly, the location couldn't have been more perfect. It was right in the heart of everything, making it super convenient to explore the city. The staff were not only friendly but also incredibly attentive. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable and memorable stay. But what truly set this hotel apart was their generous welcome offer. We were greeted with a bottle of exquisite wine and a beautiful tray of fresh fruits. The fridge was stocked with a tempting assortment of snacks and drinks, while a cabinet held an array of delicious biscuits, coffee, and teas. To top it all off, they surprised us with a pasta gift as a souvenir to remember our stay. This level of hospitality was unparalleled.
