Fantastic location, within an easy stroll of the main sightseeing attractions but in an area that isn’t touristy and surrounded by great bars and restaurants with nice food at good prices. Very helpful and attentive staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Quiet air conditioning that doesn’t keep you awake.

Nothing really. If being really picky: There’s no hotel bar - but with great bars and restaurants just outside the hotel a hotel bar isn’t needed. The Rooms quite small -but were clean and comfortable and were all that was needed when the majority of time is spent sightseeing.

Very clean and in a great location. Clean bed linen and towels every day is a great touch and was really appreciated. The staff were excellent too. Very friendly, accommodating and polite.

The shower wasn’t great. The water temperature fluctuated quite a lot while using it. Plus the breakfast was ok, but again, not great. Coffee was tepid and the scrambled eggs we had on day one appeared to have been sitting around as long as the Colosseum itself. We booked on a bed and breakfast basis but after the first day we had breakfast out as there is so much choice locally anyway and at great prices too.

Wonderful little hotel just across Ponte Cavour. It is in a perfect location and easy access to Everything. I love walking along the Tiber in the evening to get to and from the hotel; the views of Castel San Angelo and St. Peter’s from the bridges are beautiful. The front desk staff are exceptional; they are friendly, kind and professional. Our room was large with a beautiful balcony from which we watched Rome’s famous green long tailed parrots! We try to travel to Rome as much as possible, and after seven stays in this hotel, I can’t Imagine staying anywhere else.

Everything was great

Room cleanliness was superb. Very helpful staff, I got great tips, routes and restaurant recommendations from the gentleman attending front desk in the afternoons (sorry, I'm terrible with names! ). Location was perfect, it was a very calmed neighborhood with great options for dinner nearby and a bus stop just outside the hotel.

Air conditioner didn't cool enough, which in the 30°+ C temperatures of Italian summer would have been desirable. I wish they had more options on TV channels. Also I would have liked more variety in the breakfast buffet.

The location is perfect, 15 mins walk to the Trevi fountain and not far from the Vatican museum maybe less than 10 mins drive. The staff was helpful. They carried out luggage and suggested a great restaurant for dinner.

There is no iron. Could not iron our clothes which is a huge problem if you have specific outfit plans. They told us to go to the laundromat across the street which was asinine cus we would have had to pay for the service and not the hotel. They need to provide an iron asap

Hi, I wanted to tell a little about our amazing experience in Hotel Diplomatic in Rome. First of all the location is beautiful, next to the park and several bus stops. Workers at the reception are kind and always happy to help you with luggage or to find some nice places to visit. We also took breakfasts there which was a great decision because you don’t waste time on finding a restaurant and the variety of food is impressive. Rooms were clean with everything you might need in it, for example toiletries, AC, fridge and minibar. I recommend this hotel for everyone who wants to visit Rome and have unforgettable time there!

Lack of fruits and vegetables at the breakfast

Hotel Diplomatic is THE hotel to stay at when you are in Rome. The staff made us feel so valued and were more than accommodating. They moved our bags to and from the room upon arrival and leaving. The breakfast was excellent and they helped make our last two days of vacation so stress free. They arranged for our shuttle to the airport and were always pleasant. The room was spacious and so comfortable. I know I'm sounding gushy but after all the different places at which we stayed over our 24 day trip, I was so happy to be staying here for our last two days.

The only teenie-tiny issue was no Kleenex in the room or bathroom, which seemed a bit odd. Other than that, I have no negative observation.

The location of the hotel is really great. 10 minutes away from the subway and ten minutes away from the SIT Bus stop that takes you directly to Fiumicino airport. All attractions of Rome and Vatican are in the walking distance.

The hotel has a great atmosphere of the 80s with wooden furniture and marble bathroom. What was not so great was low water pressure. It took also a while to get hot water and then it became suddenly cold and then hot again, and then cold again :) Also the toiled used a lot of water to flush but actual flushing effect was not so great.

The room was fairly spacious and spotless. The bathroom well appointed and spotless. The bed was comfortable. We have stayed there before and were delighted to find the same very helpful and experienced staff, some of whom have worked there for over 25 years. They know the area, they know the facilities, the best places to eat and they are top notch in every way. They have a good breakfast, at a reasonable price. After breakfast it becomes a quiet room where you can hang out and write or read. They offer luggage storage. We went to Naples for four days and left most of our luggage with them when we were coming back to stay there.

I really can't fault them at all. We love everything about this hotel. We are frequent travellers andIt is one of our favourites in the world. When in Rome we will always stay there.

The hotel location is wonderful. The staff are exemplary. Trains to Bologna were cancelled at the last minute so we had to cancel the Bologna portion of our trip and stay in Rome. Hotel Diplomatic had no available rooms, but the front desk staff worked very, very hard to find a room for us at a another facility,which was very nearly impossible. Thank you Hotel Diplomatic. The hotel in Bologna has not been flexible even though the cancellation was due to catastrophic flooding in the area.
