The SM Vatican Relais was a great choice for our family during a 3-night stay in Rome. First and foremost, the staff was superb!! Ludovica at the front desk is an angel. Not only is she exceptionally friendly, polite, and efficient, but she also knows how to resolve any issue. At one point, we had an unexpected medical situation. Ludovica took care of everything and had our little one in urgent care within 30 minutes. Matteo was also extremely responsive and efficient. The breakfast always arrived precisely on time and exactly as requested. The B&B is equipped with modern furnishings and is in a gorgeous old Roman building in a great neighborhood, with many restaurants and shops steps away.

Location is great, the breakfast is very good and can order outside menu items. The receptionist is super helpful and made us feel welcome.

Wish it had Washing Machine

Firstly and foremost - the kind and friendly attitude of Ludovica and Matteo. The communication was great prior to arrival and once we arrived we were greeted and explained everything and given 5 star concierge service, i.e. location of all the tourist destinations, best restaurants, forms of travel, shopping districts, tips and tricks to make our stay more memorable. We were quickly settled in our spacious and pristinely clean room which had all the amenities, fast internet, smart TV, comfortable beds, air conditioning, mini bar with very reasonable prices, comfortable bathroom with two sinks which was very adequate for a family of 4. Breakfast was fantastic Roma style cappuccino, espresso and pastries but there was also other choices available - including savory options, fruit and vegan options - it was served in the room at a time you specify and they were always on time. We went there for a special occasion to celebrate a special birthday and they arranged a gift for us for the day to say thank you that we have chosen them for the occasion which was very kind. They also assisted us with organising a taxi for the trip back to the airport. Thank you so much for your hospitality and please don't change anything, you are great!

I cannot imagine a better place to stay in Rome. Matteo and Ludovica were warm and welcoming, and were very patient when I attempted to practice speaking Italian. If you don't speak Italian, I believe they speak English, Spanish and French as well. Breakfast in the room every morning was delicious and very convenient. I was celebrating a birthday during our trip, and they surprised me with a bottle of sparkling wine. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to Rome.

We loved everything.

It was easy to book. Location was perfect for us. 15 minute walk to the Spanish Steps, upscale shops, restaurants close to Relais B&B. Ludovuca was professional, kind, helpful with any questions we had and we definitely recommend staying here.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing!!! Room was clean and the biggest bathroom we had in all our stays in Italy!!

It is very small so there's your room and that's it, though we found the same with all the Airbnb's and hotels.

The owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating! The rooms were decorated tastefully, and were clean and comfortable. It was a very reasonable price and good location, not too far to walk to everything. Breakfast brought to our rooms each morning was so nice too!

It was a little different not having anyone staffing the property in the afternoons. If we had a question about the area, or needed something, there wasn’t anyone to ask. But to be fair, when we did need an item for our room, Matteo was very responsive to our message, and brought it himself only minutes later! The property could have used a few more little amenities, like daily water bottles, clothing iron, tissue boxes.

The room was big, with nice furniture and bathroom equipment. Nice neighbourhood, without noise and traffic, but still very close to the main touristic attractions. The host helped us a lot with guidance regarding how to get to the location from the airport, where to eat, how to get in different places, etc. Breakfast was served in the room, every morning at the time mentioned by us. The selection was pretty large, but most of it was made of sweet foods. However, the host told us that we can ask for additional things, like ham and cheese. We did and they brought it everyday, at no extra cost.

The room was super clean (and the cleaning was very thorough every day). The beds were comfy. I read some complains about the noisy neighbors, but we didn’t experience that. The nights were quiet and we slept well. The communication with the staff was superb: fast, clear, friendly. The location is also really good. It is just 15 mins walk from Piazza Navona, but because this b&b is across the river, you don’t see crowds of tourist there. Actually the police station is just opposite this b&b, which is extra nice in terms of safety ;)

I liked that the apartment was cleaned every day with fresh towels left on the beds often. I liked that we got breakfast included and that the staff would always try to accommodate us. There was free wi-fi of a good standard with a nice tv if we wanted to watch a movie. The location was great it was possible to walk to nearly everything in less than 20 minutes.

Would of liked there to have been a washing machine and dryer provided so that we didn't have to spend more money at a laundromat.
