The most crusious point for me is the cleanliness. And it was very clean!
When we bought the ticket on booking, it was written that the city tax is included in the payment, but when we check out there, they told us to pay city tax.. no idea what was that, and what did we pay for.

The location of the hotel is perfect for leisure/ sightseeing as it is situated close to the train station and the metro. The hotel is a bit old but renovated and the rooms are big, comfortable and warm. Also it always had warm water. Definitely a value for money hotel, in which I would be staying again.

Excellent apartments in a central location near the train station and metro, yet away from the noise. There are several high-quality restaurants and bars in the area open until 1:30 AM. A 24-hour store is available. The room includes a desk and a luggage couch. Perhaps the only things missing are a lamp and a kettle. However, there is a neet balcony overlooking the inner courtyard with a table and a couple of chairs. It's also worth noting the aesthetic design of the hall, where you can sit and relax in comfortable chairs surrounded by paintings.

The location is perfect, in walking distance to everywhere, as well as very close to the central train station and the bus terminal. At the same time the neighborhood is calm and silent, without crazy crowds of tourists. The staff is excellent, 24 hours front desk was a huge bonus, as we've arrived after midnight and didn't want to add a stress of not making it to the check-in to already built-up pressure of being not able to get to the city. Beds were comfy but short (yes, we're tall) but I didn't make friends with pillows. Overall it's all ok. The room has everything needed for the comfortable stay, it's very clean and the room service does its job well. Breakfast was decent.
The safe ran out of battery twice during our 3-nights stay and it felt like fire detector had similar issue because it was blinking red all night long. Timely electronics maintenance would be appreciated.

We arrived and departed from Roma Termini, and the location of the hotel was very convenient. It's also walking distance from the main sights (e.g. Fontana di Trevi, Pantheon, Colosseum, Forum). There is someone at reception even late, so it's not a problem to check-in at night.
There were mosquitoes in the room, not sure where they came from (we visited in April, and there weren't a lot of mosquitoes outside at that time). We stayed in a small double room, and the layout of the room wasn't very well thought through - there were not enough sockets. The only socket we found was the one the TV was connected to, so we had to unplug the TV to charge our phones, and we couldn't charge 2 phones at the same time, which was very inconvenient. Also the TV was pointing at the bathroom entrance, so it wasn't even convenient to watch at such a weird angle. If the TV and the wardrobe were swapped, the TV would be right in front of the bed, which would be a much better position in my opinion.

Location is perfect. We stayed in a terrace level room, nice to have a view even though the weather was cloudy.
At first night, there was a huge fight with so much noise due to throwing stuff on the walls or punching the walls, between a man and a female in the next room. Man was certainly drunk... My wife was panicked sooo much. Therefore I had to call the reception about it. When I called the reception to inform about it, receptionist told me to knock their door to tell them we are uncomfortable. Then I said, what if the drunk man doesn't take it well and start a fight with me? Then the receptionist said ok. I had to ask to call the police if he cannot handle it. It is not OK to tell a customer to solve the problem by himself.

Hotel Impero was easy to get to from the Rome Termini train station, we had small cases so we could walk. There is a metro station close by and buses to get to all the main sights of Rome. The area around the hotel has many places to eat and drink, plus a supermarket not that far away. The room was a bit dated but had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Once again, excellent double glazing so when you closed the window the sounds of Rome were very muted. 24-hour reception so checking in and out is super easy.
I love a kettle but the room was a bit small for it and there was a place for coffee over the road.

Excellent location close to the train station, direct from the airport in 30 minutes. Also good for car hire if you want to get out of the city for a day. Very clean, lovely helpful staff, right next to the theatre, selection of restaurants on the doorstep. Yes the decor is a bit darker, but it is traditional Roman style, but when in Rome...... sleek skandi is boring :) Rome is a walking city and this location is excellent for most major attractions. Take your comfy shoes, get your step count up and see the city properly. We walked EVERYWHERE!
Nothing about the hotel - would definitely stay there again. Suggestion: reduce / remove the little bottles in the toiletries to reduce plastic waste.

The hotel was classic with grand proportions. The room was large and had a balcony overlooking the nextdoor opera theatre (we enjoyed a wonderful performance there). The bed was large and very comfortable, the shower was powerful and there was a mini fridge. Our room, 402, was very quiet when all the windows were closed. The location was great - the shuttle bus from Fiumicino Airport dropped up at Termini Roma, main train station, and from there it was about 10 minutes to walk to the hotel. We walked about 20 minutes to the Colosseum and only 5 minutes to the most spectacular church, Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica, where the late Pope Francis was recently laid to rest. There were plenty of good restaurants surrounding the hotel and a lovely cocktail bar underneath. The hotel breakfast was a wide ranging cold buffet and there was always plenty available. The small bar was a welcome addition on arrival and we took our cold drinks up to the roof terrace. The staff were efficient and very accommodating. Housekeeping was excellent!
It was a shame not to have a kettle in the room, but we coped!

Very friendly staff, they kept our room key during the day and kept our luggage at the hotel after we checked out, so we could stay in Rome until our flight without carrying heavy bags. Nice interior, decent sized room. Room cleaned everyday if wanted. The location is good, as it is near Termini Station, and a twenty minute walk from the Trevi fountain/Spanish steps, and about roughly 25-30 minute walk from the colosseum. Lots of restaurants nearby and an opera. Would definitely recommend as a good place to stay
The hotel couldn’t help this, but there was a lot of homelessness in the area, and graffiti on walls. We still felt safe as there were lots of people in the area, but just wary as there were beggars too. My friend had her bag stolen in a McDonalds while we were eating, but stealing is a problem all over Rome, so not just that area specifically! The front desk gave us helpful advice on when to contact the police.
