The location was great it’s full of restaurants and there are a couple of supermarkets too. There’s an ice cream shop very close where you can buy to go and enjoy watching the colosseum. The hotel was very nice. The breakfast was very complete, even had salmon. The tea water was cold and the coffee must be improved. They offered you tap water to refill bottles and go out on activities. The hotel offered dinner as well (we did not ask price or ate there but good to know.) Also they could fix a taxi for you to airport with fixed prices.

It would have been nice to have tea included all day and take advantage of some common spaces that the hotel has. Instead, they charge 4euros a cup of tea. There’s no fridge in the room. It’s noisy in general, walls are very thin and you can also hear the garbage being collected at early hours of the morning but that is not the hotel’s fault. I definitely recommend staying.

The location of the hotel is excellent, just 2 minutes from the Colosseum and 5 minutes from the subway station. Near the hotel, there are several restaurants, all very good and with better prices than those in front of the Colosseum. All the hotel staff were wonderful and very attentive. I had a problem with the wheels of my suitcase, and they helped me in various ways. The breakfast is amazing, with several options every day and everything is delicious. Comfortable beds, pleasant reception, and a small rooftop with a cozy view of the Colosseum. I would return without a second thought.

The only thing that I missed was to have a Minibar/Mini fridge in the bedroom

The hotel is in a great location and very easy to walk to all the Roman sites and further afield if you want to (we walked to Trevi Fountain and Piazza Barberini). There are plenty of restaurants a short walk away and a couple of supermarkets. Our room was big, clean and all the facilities worked well. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty with lovely fruit. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

There was not a kettle in the room and the beds weren't the comfiest but were fine. The decor is traditional but everything works well. We didn't turn the TV on so not sure what channels there were.

The Hotel Lancelot is an immaculate facility. The staff were engaging, always accommodating, and truly understood and practiced what should be the values of all hospitality services. The location met are needs perfectly. The Hotel Lancelot is within walking distance of the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, and several major basilicas. There is a great view of the Colosseum and the dome of St. Peter's Basilica from the roof terraces. It is only a short taxi ride to the Piazza Navone and the Vatican. The Pantheon and City Centre with the Trevi Fountain are within easy reach - longer walk or short taxi ride.

It’s rare to find a hotel like this one anymore. Hotel Lancelot is truly oriented towards their patrons. We had all of our needs taken care of. The front desk staff were so helpful…providing great city information, calling taxis, making sure you had everything you needed for a great stay. They even called a taxi for us off-site when our tour group’s plans changed and we were stranded with our Uber app not working. Their bar is open 24 hours so coffee and tea are available round the clock. If you get a chance to eat dinner in the hotel, do so. It’s a great chance to meet other travelers, as table seating is shared. The hotel owner and chef, Mr. Khan, came out and sat with us. He has wonderful stories to tell! Also, I sprung my celiac status on them at the last minute and they were able to pivot quickly and provide me with a fabulous meal. I wish we were able to stay longer in Rome, but when we come back, there is no other place I would rather stay. It really felt like a home away from home.

Nothing. Don’t let the older condition of the hotel deter you. It’s clean and maintained. It simply adds to the charm.

Very nice middle class hotel in the Celio district with a lot of Italian atmosphere, small bar and nice lounge area. Very friendly and helpful staff. spacious rooms; comfortable beds. Very good continental breakfast in a classic Italian breakfast room. The hotel is very close to the Colosseum and the trendy Monti district. To explore the sights in the city center, I recommend public transport (bus or Metro from the Colosseo).

I probably had one of the best hotel stays ever at Hotel Lancelot. The hotel is centrally located near all the tourist attractions and is close to main bus routes too. Various staff members at the reception were friendly, helpful and had keen attention to detail. They always strived to exceed customer service. The rooms were spacious, cleaned regularly and had all the important amenities. Breakfast served had heaps of tasty and healthy option. I was also lucky to attend the New Year Gala dinner organised by the hotel for guests. The dinner served was fantastic and top notch quality! Since I was visiting by myself, the owners Helen and Lubna invited me to sit with them in their table and enjoy the evening. I thought that was a very kind gesture and focused on the hotel’s values of ensuring customer satisfaction. Lubna and Helen made me feel special and valued and I can not wait to visit this gem of a hotel again. Do yourself a favour and stay here for your next trip to Roma. I will be for sure telling my friends in Australia about this amazing hotel and will highly recommend to anyone. Thanks Hotel Lancelot :)

Nothing that I did not like!

Location was great, you could actually see the coliseum down the street, about 2-3 blocks from the hotel. There were many shops/restaurants nearby, even a type of convenient store, so we were able to pick-up a few snacks. Took a taxi to Trevi fountain, and we were able to walk back, so not all that far, but, a good walk. We could not get the TV to work, and being an older building, outlets were minimal in the room. All in all, a great stay.

Air conditioning was turned off, as in all hotels at the time of our visit. Was a bit sticky trying to sleep.

The breakfast was fantastic. We loved the freshly made croissants. The staff were kind and very responsive. Location is excellent. Cozy, comfortable place to stay in Rome. Enjoyed the common areas that allowed us some privacy from each other in the room.

I wish free coffee was available outside breakfast hours or at least some type of caffeinated beverage we could prepare in our room.

Excellent location, easy walking distance to both A and B line Metros and many attractions. Lots of good authentic Italian restaurants nearby at very reasonable prices. Pharmacy close by together with a small shop for water, beer, wines etc. The hotel itself is a gem, reminded us of a bygone era. Staff exceptionally helpful and hotel super clean. We had a room on the 6th floor with its own outside terrace which was lovely and had magnificent views, we spent a good few hours here every evening relaxing. 10ft high ceiling and tall French doors made it very airy as did the calming decor. Bathroom was more than adequate and always lots of hot water. The hotel has a lovely ambiance and personality and when we are next in Rome it will be our first choice of hotel. If you like super modern “box like” hotels which look the same no matter where in the world you are then this place is not for you but if you like authentic genuine warmth and unique charm and personality then look no further than Hotel Lancelot.
