Very friendly and helpful staff Excellent location - walking distance to attractions and restaurants/bars. 10% discount at the cafe next door for hotel guests.

A little awkward getting up and down in the small elevator (I know this is something that cannot be corrected - 'm glad they had the elevator). Slight moldy smell in the bathroom. Higher price per night than I was accustomed to pay in the city especially during the month of May - but worth it for the location.

It was clean in the Centre of the city a 10 min walk to most landmarks just outside the hotel is a restaurant you couldn’t have a better holiday I think personally I was very impressed with this hotel

Family owned and we were always greeted warmly when we returned at the end of the day. Beautiful property and located very near the Colloseum and Across the street from the Forum. Wonderful restaurants right outside the front door!

Location is fantastic, hotel well appointed for the price and spotlessly clean. But the staff made it exceptional, Mariella in particular was super friendly and helpful. Would return without hesitation.

The highlight of our stay at Hotel Romano was by far the staff. From check in to check out, they were so sweet and considerate. We stayed here on our honeymoon and they even left us a congratulatory note, lovely decorations, and a bottle of prosecco. We also had a room with a balcony and the view really cannot be beat. The location is perfect for seeing the historic sites and is close to the metro for the days we were going farther or it was too hot to walk. The hotel is also close to many good restaurants and across the street from incredible gelato.

Our room was not very large, which was fine but made arranging our suitcases a bit of a challenge. The air conditioning is also fairly weak. It was sufficient for me, especially at night, but my husband would have appreciated a bit more cooling power during the hot days.

Location is great. Right next to Roman Forum and very close Colosseum, Campidoglio, Piazza Venezia and all other major sights. Everything is at a walking distance. Farther places are very well connected since there are metro and bus stops nearby. Staff was excellent! They made me feel like at home. At the reception they provided me with vey helpful hints whenever I needed some advice. The rooms and the hotel as a whole is exceptionally clean. This is the first time my dust allergy was not triggered in a hotel room. I am grateful to the housekeeping team (3 lovely ladies who not only clean the room but also tidy it up). There are plenty of restaurants around. The bar next to the hotel offers discounts and they have great food.

The lift stops between the floors and you have to climb 5-6 steps with your luggage.

Location was AMAZING. near the colloseum and the metro station is very close. Taxi to the Termini station was quick. Great coffee nearby, really great restaurants nearby and the hotel staff were sooo friendly and helpful!! The AC worked really well and my room was very quite. Shower was great. could not have asked for a better stay.

It was really a perfect stay. If it rains though, make sure you make your taxi reservation for the train station the day before or else you might not get a taxi. I ended up walking quickly to the Metro which actually worked really well.

staff was great! Very helpful! Nice building with history, although, this IS Rome. there is a nice small veranda I did not even know the room had! Great to open the large door to the outside! I liked the neighborhood a lot! Plenty of awesome food, shops, simple groceries for basics. Very central to everything! Most churches you would want to see are within a couple km of each other and the hotel. so we just planned our walk to go conveniently to each one. Hadrian’s Monument use can be sees from the hotel and it’s across the street from the Colosseum and the Metro stop of the same name. The metro goes right to the Termini for the train…just a couple stops away!

I really missed having a basic lounge area with couches/chairs to sit while planning for the day, or sitting a bit as a break without going up to the room. I did like the charm of a boutique hotel, though

The location of the property is wonderful for being near the Roman Forum, The Colosseum, and all the Rome has to offer. The hotel management was super nice and were helpful in setting you up for info on your visit. we stayed in one of their rooms with a balcony, and it did not disappoint! we grabbed coffee from a cafe outside of the hotel and enjoyed sipping it as we watched the festivities of the Rome Marathon. The room is the average European size. but what is lacks in space it makes up on character! We walked from the hotel to all of the historic spots, and hotel is a short walk from the train station (about 10-15 minutes).
