This is lovely older hotel with exceptional views and lovely well maintained and unexpectedly large rooms. We had a garden terrace with a view of the coastline that was stunning. The hotel is built, as are many in Taormina clinging to the side of a steep slope with rooms and terraces vertically aligned and next to each other. It has classic old Italian furnishings, and the staff was gracious and helpful.and the breakfast buffet delicious and varied. There are a myriad of hotels to choose from in Taormina, at different price point, this was my first visit but I felt the Hotel Sirius served us well in many ways at a very reasonable price. It is steps away from the gondola to the beach and just a few minutes further from the old town and the bus station where we caught a bus to Castelmoro(which is definitely worth a visit. The already breathtaking views are even more extraordinary up there and the old city is magical). Having just had this one experience here it did seem like the Hotel Sirius gave great value for the money, we had to pay an extra 20 Euro for parking but given how scarce it is that didn't seem unreasonable. Taormina is a place where one could obviously spend a fortune on a hotel but I felt as if we had many of the pleasures of the town, the wild views, easy access down to the beach or into town, and elegant comfortable accomadations the without the exorbitant prices.

It does not face toward the volcano nut up the coast in other direction, that was a minor disappointing the view nonetheless are gobsmackingly lovely.Driving into Taormina is not for the frail of heart The hairpin turns are no joke. I'm a reasonable confident driver and felt comfortable driving in most of Italy but climbing the hill to Taormina in a car tested my mettle, so much so that I didn't even attempt to drive to Castlemoro but tool the bus. The driveway itself down to hotel is narrow and twisty and while I'm sure perfectly safe was made me grip the steering wheel a little tighter than normal. It does on the hand have the most breathtaking view that people would stop to take selfies at the entrance to the hotel.

Large nice rooms with gorgeous views, breakfast was phenomenal, easy walk to old town & restaurants. Take the hotel up on scheduling the shuttle to their sister beach. It is beautiful and worth the minimal charge.

The pool and deck are dated. Please provide guests with beach towels that they can take with them to the beach. Don’t waste your time taking the Furnicula down to Spisone Beach.

Lovely elegant hotel. Friendly helpful staff. Ate in the restaurant twice. As there weren't many eating in, they set up in the bar, which was smaller and felt more friendly. We were told we had to give notice if we wanted to eat but that wasn't necessary. That may have put people off. The food was very good. It was an easy walk in to town for alternative restaurants. Unfortunately the cable car was out of action and the shuttle bus alternative was a bit hit and miss so mainly stayed uphill. Driving takes getting used to. Glad we booked parking. We were usually met by the friendly guy from reception who parked it up for us. Plenty of places to sit around the hotel and lovely garden even when it rained. Bar service and pool snacks good. Fabulous views. You can't see Etna but we thought the view was better and we saw Etna many times on our trips out. Liked having a patio looking on to the garden and the view down the coast

There was a wide variety of choice for breakfast and the food was fresh and delicious. The coffee service at breakfast was fantastic and nothing was too much bother. The assistance from the concierge was also fantastic helping with hiring a car, finding restaurants, organising tours and just general local information. The view from the pool was spectacular and the drinks and food available were not over priced. The rooms were very clean and modern and serviced daily and each room had some outside area. The location was excellent - just a short walk into the center of town.

The only negative was that you could hear toilets flushing in other rooms and movement of furniture and people, but it wasn't drastic.

A lovely hotel with fantastic views. It's within easy walking distance to the lovely centre of Taormina. Lovely, clean rooms.

To access the hotel, you need to walk down a slope from street level to the small car park. There is then a lift from here that takes you down to reception, but you can't call it from this level- you need to let reception know that you need them to send the lift up. Staff are always more than happy to assist. Therefore, it's not ideal for people with mobility issues, though the hotel do everything they can to accommodate.

The hotel's location is superb, allowing for leisurely strolls in either direction towards the Main Street, both routes offering a delightful experience. However, it is the staff who truly shine, surpassing all expectations with their exceptional service. Throughout our 10-night stay, their unwavering helpfulness and warm hospitality made us feel truly welcome.

A beautiful authentic Italian hotel in the centre of Taormina. The pool area is amazing, overlooking the sea, with a great snack bar (great value for snacks and drinks). The rooms were spacious with small balconys that you can relax on. The breakfast was simple, but delicious! Service from the staff was amazing. You are close to everything - cable car to get to Isobella beach. Restuarants are all a short walk into town (lots of uphill walking so bring comfy shoes!). The hotel even provide a free shuttle service to one of the close-by beaches.

The staff at Hotel Sirius are amazing. They are so friendly and accommodating and anything we asked for was dealt with so efficiently. It was like nothing was any trouble. The best hospitality we’ve ever experienced. The hotel exceeded our expectations. It is in the traditional style but everything is lovely. We really liked the pool area and our room had an outside terrace area.

There was some rubbish from a previous occupant left in one of the bedside drawers, but likely just human error. The room was always cleaned well on a daily basis. The drive down to the hotel is very steep which wouldn’t have been a problem but my partner injured her ankle the week before and so I wouldn’t recommend for anyone with mobility issues because there is no other way down.

We had a lovely, spacious double aspect room with a large window and French doors onto a decent size balcony overlooking the sea. Furnished with a large wardrobe, a spare single bed, chairs, side tables, kettle it had everything we needed and we could have stayed a week! It was peaceful (in comparison to so many other hotels) and very close to both the bus terminus for an easy arrival from the airport and the cable car for visiting the beach. The staff were lovely, the breakfast room and food enjoyable, the pool a joy and we were so happy this was our first experience in Sicily.

A beautiful hotel, scrupulously maintained with gracious public spaces surrounded by manicured gardens. We encountered a wonderful warmth from the staff who really care about their guests and went out of their way to be helpful, for example booking taxis and offering a packed breakfast with an early check out. The breakfast was definitely a highlight - including fresh fruit, pancakes, various baked goods, and eggs, cheese etc, served on crisp white tablecloths overlooking the sea. The room for three was spacious, clean and had a large terrace. Great pool with pool bar and plenty of loungers. The location could not be better - at the start of the main shopping drag, and equally close to the cable car and bus terminus.

Nothing, but if you had to be really picky, the bathroom is a little small - but then you are getting exceptional value at Hotel Sirius. We also stayed at the Villa Carlotta which was also marvellous and featured an exquisite bathroom, but was also cost a lot more.
