Hotel Villa Nettuno

The location was great . Close to the chair lift . Bustops and a short walk to all the restaurants and shops . The hotel was quirky and cute . A lovely garden and a homely feel . You can choose to have breakfast in the garden. At a small cost . The bed was comfy and the little balcony had a lovely view. Air con was effective. The owners were very helpful, courteous and thoughtful with required information . There was a service to the beach that had a beachclub called la dolce vita which provided pick up and return including 2 beach chairs and umbrella at 25 Euros for 2 people . The nightly rate seemed reasonable for what you got .

There was no fridge in the room and limited access points for charging devices .

Amazing place. Great Italian ambiance. Views from Balcony are worth $$$. The garden is beautiful. Staff are so kind and helpful. Place is super clean with hotel name embroidered on bed sheets. Best hotel we stayed in Italy for only 100E a night. Everything is close 5 minute walk to the cable car to beach. 5 minutes to main town square. So glad we chose this place. Only area for improvement is breakfast. It’s only 6E but very simple. Coffee is not good. Sweet rolls so so and some jogurt. We only ate once and chose to have breakfast in area cafes.

An old family owned villa. Not a modern hotel and no elevator. But we wanted a more authentic place to stay. Comfortable beds and nice bathroom. Excellent service. Breakfast in their beautiful garden and the views! Cannot describe. Close to the cable car and just three minutes walk to the Main Street through old town. Also close to the bus station where we took the bus to the airport when leaving.

If you have problems walking or bad knees, this is not for you as there are lots of stairs and no elevator. But so it is in most places in Taormina.

We requested upon booking, a sea view room, and our room exceeded our expectations! We were on the 2nd floor, corner room, two sets of double doors. One set opened up to a shared terrace with a stunning view of the water, and the other, was a view of the property's luscious garden which is where breakfast was served every morning. The room was cleaned every day, the bed was super comfortable, and the host and staff were pleasant and helpful. There was lots of choices for breakfast food and great coffee. Location was perfect for shopping, exploring, eating, and admiring the views. Also close to bus station and the funicular down to the beach, and close to Porta Messina, the entrance to the historical centre.

I was told that there were sea views - but I didn't expect this! Hotel Nettuna offered a little touch of paradise for a few wonderful days. The spectacular setting overlooking the sea was matched by the beautiful garden, where guests could partake of breakfast or just relax. The family who runs this property is obviously very proud of what they have to offer guests. I loved the caring touches of the crisp, white, embroidered linens on the bed and the equally pristine towels. The presentation of the breakfast was effortlessly stylish. The staff were all kind, courteous and helpful. I was sad to leave this remarkable hotel.

Hotel Nettuna has everything right. Nothing cuold be better - it's all exceptional.

Breakfast on the garden terrace with glorious views was a wonderful start to each day. Added bonus it was extremely modestly charged. Also we were invited to use the terrace/verandah at other points in the day as suited us (even to take food/drink there) - a fantastic bonus. The location could not be bettered - you are in the middle of everything you would want to see. Steps away from the sights/shops/restaurants. Another bonus - we had a hire car and the hotel had a car park which was very modestly charged for and a short walk from the hotel. We absolutely loved this place and would recommend it to everyone without hesitation. Final point - staff were so lovely - friendly and kind. A family owned business where they really cared that you had a good time. Would return without doubt.

Beautiful property set to up some stairs from the main road right next to the centre of Taoramina town. There are restaurants and supermarkets pretty much on your doorstep. Also 5 mins walk from the bus stop from the airport bus. The property itself is an old traditional style house with large communal sitting room and gorgeous garden. We had a corner room in the first floor, with two balconies with insane views of the sea and mountains. The air conditioning worked so well, the bed was comfy and there was lots of wardrobe space. The bathroom was clean and with plenty of towels. The staff were lovely coming to clean every day, and the gentleman on the desk (I assume the owner) was very friendly and helpful providing us with a map and recommendations of free beaches and things to do.

The hotel was charming, and the views spectacular. If there hadn’t been so much I wanted to see, I’d have been happy just perching at the hotel and taking in the sea view from the gardens. The location was perfect - easy walking in minutes to all the points of interest in town and the bus depot. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. Particularly liked the breakfast set in the beautiful garden with the view over the sea. I didn’t want to leave! A very special place and I’d have stayed on longer had there been availability.

This issue is personal - I booked a sea view room with a balcony, and from the courtyard garden outside my room there was a partial sea view. I had wanted a balcony as I don’t use air conditioning and wanted to keep the door open for fresh air and still feel secure. My room opened up to really lovely gardens, but people (and pets) wandered by the door so I had to keep it closed at night. In the day time it was wonderful - but at night I didn’t feel comfortable keeping the door open.

The view from the upper rooms is unbeatable (we had the best one at the corner with the terrasse). Good bed, the room was big with good AC, and overall the place is very charming. We also liked the proximity with everything (cable car to isola Bella literally downstairs, old town one minute away, bus terminal 5 mins walk).

It can get very noisy at times since the doors and windows are not soundproof (people slamming doors, or a manhole cover in the street right below us that would literally move and make a lot of noise every time a car passes by, making it very difficult to sleep sometimes).

Comfortable room with a lovely little balcony overlooking the garden and out to the sea. The location was central to everything yet the room was quiet at night. The breakfast was all sweets but delicious and delightful to dine in the garden. The hotel has private parking available close by for 10 euros/ day. There are two parking spots dedicated for the hotel right on the street just past the bus stop. You can park there to check in and unload your bags. It was a relief to leave our rental car and just walk everywhere.
