Beautiful hotel in a lovely older building. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was very nice and spacious. The bed and linen were very good and comfortable. Nice and quiet location and no disturbance from other guests or outside noise. Very good breakfast options and quick service from very well trained staff.

The bathroom didn’t have a shower, only a hand held shower head device in a large bath. If you prefer a bath - it’s fine because the bath is huge. I found this configuration awkward and impractical. There was water everywhere and it was hard using the device and soap at the same time. This is the only reason I wouldn’t stay here again which is a shame because the hotel is lovely.

Your hotel is beautiful- period. I enjoyed your front desk staffs and daytime manager Daniel for his/their hospitality and consideration. I also enjoyed the restaurant at dinner. I must say the warm cookies are to die for and it added so much to the experience at your hotel. Thank you.

I don’t like to swift changes is pricing when I came to the taxi services we used through the hotel - taxi from Venice international airport perfect - taxi to the cruise ship perfect - taxi from the cruise ship - no show -taxi to Venice international airport- over priced

The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices available. The coffee was excellent as was the tea. The hotel is situated within easy walking distance of restaurants, museums and art galleries and is only a 15 minute walk to the train station.

On the whole the staff were very attentive and helpful, although we did run up against a young womean who seemed to have no interest in offering assistance and was rather off hand. This is a pity because the rest of the reception and waiting staff were faultless

What an experience. The building is worth a visit on its own, a historically important architecture from the time the neo-reinsurance was introduced to Trieste. The receptionists were beyond helpful and we got a wonderful free upgrade to a suite with a bath tube. Now, this was a great treat. We especially liked the location, the historic bar that served the best cocktails made by Luigi! At the breakfast, we loved the friendliness of the staff, especially Natasha. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. Trieste has about 30 museums, and this calls for another visit quite soon! I would like to mention Omar, the guest services attendant who was just beyond helpful! This hotel was one of the best experiences in Italy, so far!

Perhaps the dinner menu could be a bit better. The starters were wonderful, however, the main courses had no beef, veal or lamb, you had to choose between pork and fish. But this is easily fixable.

I spent 6 nights here. It was a wonderful experience. Everything is perfect down to every little detail. This hotel is very suitable for perfectionists. Every thing and every person has its place. Very quiet in the room. Excellent air conditioning system. Perfect cleanliness. And the most perfect location. Thank a lot to all the staff, especially the kind and helpful Marta ♥️. The overall stay was very good, the hotel building is incredible. -Its location is in the downtown, but at the same time it is very quite. - The dinners were very delicious, originals with great quantity of food, as well as the breakfasts very complete. The pancakes are delicious! - The staff is incredibly professional, specially at the restaurant. Among many others, Natasha is especially an amazing professional with a sense clients feeling. - The cleaning service is very well maintained, Lana was a very kind and enthusiastic girl that even saying that during these day we did not need anything expect towels exchange, she tried to arrange the room as quick and better as possible. We really enjoyed the stay and totally recommend it!

The hotel is superb, old building at the perfect central location. The breakfast was good, bed and pillows really comfortable. The staff was polite and helpful.

A few things. There was only one receptionist at the time and we have to wait for the check-out for half an hour. She was polite and everything went well but she was not able to be faster. Other thing is that I did not have a chair in my room so I could not sit and work on my laptop. Also, there was only one available spa possibility which was mid day, so we could not use it anyway.

Welcome at Reception was excellent. Thoroughly professional, friendly and helpful. The Hotel itself is a truly magnificent building. The room we had was very comfortable and clean and the bed was really comfy. Great shower and everything there you need. Situated right near the centre and shops but quiet. A taxi from Triest Central was 7 Euros, would recommend as it's a bit of a walk with cases. Our second stay this year and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. Double Tree Hilton and Triest are fantastic!

Nothing at all.

This was our third stay and we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Trieste. The building itself is probably one of the most beautiful in Trieste and in a perfect location. The staff are excellent, friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are so comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is optional but again service and choice is super. I highly recommend this Hotel.

Lovely hotel and very nice staff. Room was large, clean and comfortable. It's also in a good central location.

Hotel was pricey for one night without breakfast. I also thought given the price we should have even been offered help with our bags to our room. The shuttle from the airport was expensive at 75 euro but we had no choice but to get a taxi as trains stopped earlier than advertised. Given it was quite a distance from airport to hotel the price was probably reasonable and we were told in advance how much it would cost. However when the hotel then booked us a taxi next day to the port to get an NCL cruise - (I think the port was less than a mile away - literally about 4 mins in taxi), it cost us 20 euros which was a complete rip off. There should be more regulation of taxis charges especially if the hotel is ordering them for their customers
