very well located property, in the heart of the city, 5 min walks to Piazza dell’unità and all bars and restaurants. The room was spotless and comfortable. I must mention the fantastic reception staff, Katty in particular as she recommended great places to eat! This hotel was a gem and would definitely stay again when I’m Trieste!

An excellent and lucky choice thanks to Booking com. A proper, locally run Italian hotel with friendly staff, great rooms and a frankly perfect location....not right in the noisy middle but two mins on foot to the pedestrianised area, or to the cathedral steps or the roman amphitheatre. Breakfast was a well-managed delight. Good coffee (as you'd hope in Trieste!). Fresh, clean room. And restaurant recommendations from the front desk team were spot on All a great advertisement for Trieste!

The staff is the nicest staff we have ever encountered. We were only in Trieste for 2 nights, but we felt like we were a part of their family. They were so warm, welcoming, and very proud of their city. The hotel is perfect. It was renovated a few years ago, and there was a lot of thought put into it. The furnishings are beautiful and the rooms and bathrooms are very good size and extremely comfortable. There are even slippers!! The free breakfast was perfect and specialty coffees, like lattes and cappuccinos, are included. Lastly, the location can't be beat. It's on a very quiet street, but steps away from the major sights. This place was such a wonderful surprise. We really wish we could have stayed longer.

We loved everything!!!

The location is good, central but quiet. It is an easy walk from here to explore the old city and the new. The staff were great and very helpful, allowing us to check in early and keeping our bags after we checked out. The breakfast was also very good. In my opinion the room's facilities exceeded its 3 star rating. Would happily stay here again.

We had to either carry our cases up or down one flight of stairs to reach the room as the lift stops between the floors, but the building doesn't allow for it to be anywhere else so its better than no lift at all.

For my taste, breakfast always was excellent, very well organised, very clean and cosy place. I loved everything that was served there. Cakes was amazing tasty. Staff was very attentive to clients' wishes. Elevator worked excellent.

When you take a shower, be prepared to get the pretty cool water. If you don't need to wash your hair, somehow you can deal with it. For me cool water wasn't a big problem. However, tea kettle would be great there.

This hotel is very good in so many ways. The location, staff, cleanliness, breakfast, rooms, hot water and water pressure and value are all good. My room was small but comfortable and all I needed.

Be aware that even with an elevator, there are stairs. Not uncommon in older Italian buildings but could be a problem for some. The staff is very helpful so I expect they would help with luggage if asked. I happened to be there when cold temperatures hit and I was quite cold in my room. I asked for a blanket and it was provided.

We loved the close way to the city, the breakfast with the personally prepared coffee and the tipps and the friendliness of the reception.

The location was fine, once I found the place. There were nice restaurants nearby, and Saint Mark's Basilica was only 15-20 minutes away. Venice is a maze, and a map is essential.

The directions for the vaporetto to San Samuele were fine, but once off the boat, I had a very difficult time finding the hotel. I lost my GPS connection, and did not have a map or reliable directions as to where to go. Instead of taking 5 minutes to reach the hotel from San Samuele, it took me nearly 45 minutes of wandering. Also, the bathroom floor was dirty when I checked in on my first day. On the second day, housecleaning came while I was still in the room. I left the room at 3:00pm but they never came back to clean or bring new towels.

The breakfast for choice and quality was excellent. The hotel is well located being close to the Grand Canal and Plaza dell Unita, the sea front and port, and to shops and quality department stores, cafes and restaurants.

The hotel was excellent in all respects and worthy of he highest score except for the wifi connection. There was no internet connection available at all for our room on the 3rd floor. It was available at the level of the reception and dining room but downloading was quite slow. Possibly this is due to the location of the hotel but normally a wifi booster should compensate this. So impossible to plan visits In and around Trieste by consulting the internet and not acceptable in this digital age.

Everyone on the staff was very nice and helpful The breakfast very nice as well. One of the very few places that I was able to get decaffeinated coffee, and they had two kinds.

The elevator is located on half-floor landings. You must carry your bags up or down half flights of stairs. Also, pulling up with a car is very stressful. The street is extremely narrow and you can hold up all the traffic unloading.
