From the moment we checked in at reception and was greeted by a very friendly member of staff called Amin we were made to feel extremely welcome, he made check in very easy . Amin always greeted us when we left and came back to the hotel, and took the time to ask us if everything was ok and was helpful if we wanted to know anything. The room we stayed in was spacious and had plenty of storage space , it had a very comfortable bed and plenty of pillows,the room was very clean there also was a tv in the room , that allowed us to change some channels audio to English . The breakfast had plenty of choice to suit all tastes and the staff at breakfast were very helpful and friendly.The hotel also has a restaurant inside and is just off St Marks Square. We will stay here again when we go back to Venice in August

Great hotel in an amazing location (you could be at many of the top sights in Venice in less than a minute if you tried!) with lovely staff. Very clean and great room - our room even had a typically 'Venetian' view of a gondola on a canal. The breakfast was a classic continental breakfast with lots of choice plus the option to have eggs and bacon from the kitchen. We also ate in the hotel restaurant on one night, which has great Venetian food!

No complaints! The only tip I would give is that the aircon can be switched off by a small button on top of the thermostat - it took us a couple of days to realise and we really didn't need aircon at the beginning of January!

Where to start! The staff is beyond Incredible, from check in to cleaning to breakfast crew! All were extremely helpful with any needs! The Location is Incredible, a small bridge and a few steps away from Piazza San Marco, the main square! Maybe a five minute walk to Rialto Bridge, almost a straight line! Small grocery store steps away, another larger grocery near Rialto Bridge! Food, Food, and more Food options very near by! Shopping available all around! The room was Beautiful! Recently renovated with very comfortable bed, wardrobe, coffee maker, blow dryer and AC! Bathroom was stunning with all modern amenities! And then there’s breakfast! From the fresh made bacon and scrambled eggs, ask any one of the breakfast staff for an order, to the almost endless options of buffet items, Great way to start the morning in Venice! If I missed anything, Albergo San Marco did not!

I’ve got nothing!

We loved staying here. The location was prime!! 2 minute walk and you are at the Piazza. Close to everything in San Marco area. We arrived via water taxi and it was a short 5 minute walk to the hotel. Google maps sent us the long way and we had to cross many bridges with our luggage however, you just walk right into the middle of the Piazza and turn right and you just need to go over one bridge with your luggage. Lots of restaurants close by, music playing in the piazza, street vendors, Basilica, Bell Tower, everything at your doorstep. Breakfast was good, all cold breakfast except you can order scrambled eggs and bacon (no extra charge). Would highly recommend.

From the front door of this hotel you can see St Marks square. Inside you are welcomed by a very helpful friendly team at reception. The room was lovely and the shower room well equipped and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the room had mini usb ports at the plug sockets. Breakfast was a mix of continental buffet and some cooked elements and was delicious and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Free WiFi and left luggage were very helpful. Go and get lost in Venice and make sure to stay at the Albergo San Marco.

I can’t find any fault with this Hotel and I would definitely stay again nd would encourage others to do so.

The room and bathroom were lovely. The bed was comfy and the staff were so helpful. We asked for food recommendations and the lady at the desk gave such great recommendations!

The room was gorgeous but was far too hot at night - we asked for help working the air conditioning but were told that the rooms are set to 23° and that if you set it to cooler it will just go back up to 23° - this was way too hot for us. We slept with the windows open which meant we were bitten by bugs. Other than that the stay was perfect!

Perfect location. Clean and comfortable. Good standard of decor and facilities. Staff very professional but friendly.

Not the hotels fault but visitors should be aware that due to local laws, air con cannot go below 23 degrees. If you need a cool room to sleep, you need to request a fan. It did take until the second day to discover this, we just thought our air con wasn't working properly and did lead to a very uncomfortable first night

Everything! It was so easy to find. It’s in the best location right behind St Marks Square as advertised. It has an elevator. We also had a few steps but staff delivered our bags. The bed was the best one we have slept in during our 4 weeks in Europe, heaven! It’s modern and large! And the view! We even had an outside courtyard! Staff are fabulous and breakfast was fantastic! Stay here!!! Ask for Room 502!

Wish we had stayed longer.

Great convenient location! Close to all the sites. The staff was wonderful and helped us a lot. Breakfast was wonderful in adjoining restaurant. Took care of arranging a water taxi to the airport for us. Also responded promptly to our emails. We would definitely stay there again. The room was larger then most rooms in Europe and the bathroom was very modern with a walk in shower.

Beware of pickpockets in Venice and Rome.!

Property was very central and just a stones throw away from St Marks Square. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Couldn’t fault breakfast staff cooked bacon and eggs for us daily and there was plenty of pastries, cereals, cold meat and fruit on the buffet. Room was clean, comfortable and well decorated. We throughly enjoyed our stay.
