We thought that this was the perfect place to stay in Venice. You can easily catch a ferry from the airport to a canal stop almost in front of their entrance. Be aware, like all places in Venice, it can be easy to walk passed the entrance, which basically looks like a tunnel. Ca Pozzo has a welcoming courtyard where you can sit, relax and also enjoy breakfast (excellent buffet). The rooms are modern and comfortable inside. The staff are friendly and very helpful. It is close to many restaurants and shops, and points of interest are within 1/2 hour walk. we did the self guided Ghetto tour from Ca Pozzo, which was interesting, but also peaceful compared to the busy main thoroughfares. We left by train, and the station was only 15 minutes walk. Highly recommend this accommodation.

I had such a fantastic stay here. Prior to my stay, the staff were patient and friend so help me with any queries I had and during my stay, they were incredibly accommodating. Location is great, about 8 mins walk away from Santa Lucia station. I didn't have breakfast here but it looked good; Samantha was kind enough to offer me some cappuccino during my early check in. The room was lovely and exceeded my expectations. Clean, spacious and characterful. I especially loved that they had original features like exposed wooden beans and Venetian shutters. I would absolutely stay here again- huge thanks to all the staff!

Only a minor compliant- the room was a little cold so I wonder if the system wasn't working to its full ability?

The hotel has a great location within 10 minutes walks from the rail station. A ferry is just at the outside of the small alley. Room is clean and comfy.

There is a fish market in the same alley which smells when walking by. But you wont smell anything once entering the hotel.

We were given a warm welcome. Our room was really nice and clean and spacious. Breakfast was very good with a vast selection of food to suit everyone. The freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious. The waitress was very helpful and was nice and friendly. Bathroom shower was very good. the bed was really comfy. it was very quiet during the night, We were very happy with our stay.

We noticed other reviews mention the smell of fish in the alleyway that leads to the hotel was not very pleasant, however this does not affect the hotel at all and as there is a daily fish market by the canal it is to be expected.

Very well located for the train station. The room was nice, modern and well equipped, the exception being no tea/coffee making facility which in the UK is standard. There was complimentary water and a small fridge and safe. Complimentary toiletries. A couple of the Eu Italian sockets and one USB socket available. Breakfast was very good for a continental. Even some scrambled eggs and some type of bacon. All staff we met were very courteous and helpful. Allowed us to leave our luggage after we checked out and to collect later in the day. One tip from the staff was that if we intended to use a water bus at least three times in a day it was cost effective to by a one day (24 hour ) pass. I think we used it for four trips and that included a full circular external route around Venice. You have to get off at Lido to change but it's worth a walk around there and have a coffee. The Vaporetto Water Bus Line 5.1 goes around Venice anticlockwise, and the 5.2 is clockwise. Depending on tides the 5.1 can be quicker. around 1 hour 20 mins. The waiting platform is located very near the hotel at GUGLIE. https://www.venezia-help.com/en/transports/venice-vaporetto-line-5_1-actv/ The Grand Canal route to San Marco Square you may want to do etc would be the B2 route and you can pick this up near the train station. ( B1 return ) Ferrovia platform. ( I may have got B1, B2 the wrong way but always someone around to ask. )

No views from our room but that was probably expected knowing it's location. One small issue with one side of the shower door screen not operating correctly. Needed to be lifted off it rail to slide open and shut which was also noisy.

It was near the train station, it was clean, very nice place, cheap compared to other places in Venice. The staff was so nice, always there to help. They let us to check in early( one hour earlier). They kept our luggage last day untill 6 pm. All good, really nice place.

One thing was a little bit uncomfortable, the alley that get us there, it was kinda small, and smelly especially when the fish market was open, but that is how a lot of streets are in Venice. And i know for sure that it is nothing they can do about it. Even though this was not so nice, all the other advantage made me rate this place to a 10+

It was next to the Grand Canal and near public transportation. It was near a fancy restaurant and many other food options. We did not eat breakfast. It was clean and has a bidet. We loved Daniela. She was very patient and helpful when assisting us with navigating transportation. She went above and beyond as she helped use with providing and getting information on transportation a directions when the public transportation workers were on strike.

The bed was a little hard for our taste and there were not enough pillows.

The property is lovely. However, what caught my attention was the actual staff working at the property, especially Daniela from the reception and the lady who was serving us on breakfast. We had a small issue with the noise at night coming from the room beside us. I have raised the issue with Daniela at the reception and she has explained that the walls in Venice are unfortunately thin and there is not much that can be done in this case. With that said, she has offered us another room, located on the other side of the property and it was perfect. Nice, quiet and peaceful. She has arranged for our luggage to be moved with no inconvenience to us. Daniela has been absolutely perfect, providing an outstanding customer service and attending to any of our questions. She is an example of a dedicated employee and excellent customer service. I have traveled a lot in my life and I can truly say, I haven’t had this pleasant experience in many years. She has treated all the customers with outmost respect, attention, professionalism and friendliness that I would usually only expect from the owners of the property as such. In my eyes, if there is a reward for an employee of the year, Daniela would win that with flying colours. Also, as mentioned, the lady who was providing the breakfast service was lovely and customer oriented. Very attentive, friendly and always making sure customers have everything they need. Even when everyone was served, and visibly there was no additional support required, she would always keep on her toes, cleaning as she was going and completing chores throughout the whole breakfast service. there was never a moment where she would just stand and do nothing. I truly appreciate this, as it shows her dedication to work, punctuality and very higher level of work ethic. At last, I’m truly satisfied with my stay and that’s thanks to Daniela and the lady from the breakfast service.

The location was great, you just have to walk a bit to get to the main touristy area but the whole walk is lovely. You do need to walk down a narrow alley to get to it, which a local initially told us “there was nothing down there” when we arrived so we did get a bit lost but we eventually found it. Just keep going to the very end and you’ll see the gate. We get very safe due to the gate and the extra locked doors. There’s a little rooftop patio which was nice in the sun to have a peaceful drink. It’s right next to an amazing restaurant, right on the canal. We loved Venice!!

The bed wasn’t exactly uncomfortable but it also wasn’t super comfy, thankfully we had brought our own little extra pillows because the pillows are paper thin. Everything else was great.

It’s a unique building, and we had a large, sunny, clean and comfortable room. The location was great. We toured the old ghetto nearby and took advantage of some great restaurants. The Vaporetto stop was a few yards from the hotel entrance. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The regular breakfast was quite good and included fresh-squeezed orange juice and great coffee. I would be glad to stay there again.

We had to leave at 7:30 a.m. to catch a train, and the regular breakfast isn’t available that early; there is only a “to go” version, which was not great.
