The view from our bedroom window was amazing. We were room 201. I think it was better than the Danielli or other 5 star hotels that look across the canal we looked up it ( I have added some photos from the view from our window) . It was very centrally located short walk to Saint Marcs. There is also a Vaperino stop just outside the hotel (Arsninale) which is on the main number 1 line. this also takes you to Saint Marcs or up to the Rialto as well as a number of other stops along the way. The room was amazing small but beautiful with wood panelling. The bed comfortable, especially the pillows, the shower great and the service and breakfast were also excellent I honestly don't think there is a better hotel to stay at than this one. My only hesitation in writing a good review is that other people will book this hotel and when I want to go again all the rooms will be taken ! It is quite a small boutique hotel so I imagine rooms would book out quickly.

I cant think of a single thing I didn't like It was a magical hotel.

Chose Hotel Bucintoro for its quiter location and views of the lagoon. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, nothing too much trouble. We arrived much later in the day than expected owing to a delayed flight, feeling very tired and hungry, and the manager didn't hesitate to help us with a table for dinner at a lovely restaurant close by. The room was very clean and comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities which is often not provided as standard on the continent. There was no milk but after the first time of asking, it was replenished each day when the room was serviced. Breakfast was a wide and varied buffet ranging from cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, juices, cold meats, cheeses, boiled eggs, breads, pastries and freshly made tea/coffee. It was lovely to sit out and admire the views towards St Mark's Square and across the lagoon too, whilst watching local life on foot and the lagoon. The hotel bar was open daily for late afternoon/early eve drinks, but for later, there were plenty of eateries nearby. The hotel being in the Castello district, there was no shortage of good food where the locals frequent, which is always a bonus, for experiencing the traditional fayre of the area. Another bonus of this hotel's location was its proximity to the Arsenale and other water transport facilities. Wouldn't hesitate to choose Hotel Bucintoro again on a return trip to Venice. The location, comfort, homely but professional feel of the hotel was well worth the cost.

There was nothing to dislike.

Quite nice hotel for the money. Breakfast was good and the location was nice and quiet. The manager, Stefano, who handled our check out was nice and very helpful getting us to the train station with the ferry drivers on strike.

The check in process was a little bit awkward. While it was a nice touch to have a bellhop accompany us with our luggage to the room and show us around, it was frankly unnecessary for a pretty normal hotel. Also, the location is quite far from a lot of the main attractions - which was a perk for us, but something to note if that's what you're looking for.

The location was excellent - away from the crowds, yet very easy to access either the city centre or surrounding islands such as Murano or Burano or Lido. The Castello neighbourhood is definitely worth checking out - particularly taking a walk through the parks and area that is the home of the Bienale. It was very easy to get to the hotel - we took the slightly less crowded 4.1 vaporetto from the main train station to Arsenale, and from there it was only a short walk to the hotel. Conveniently, the city has installed ramps on the waterfront bridges, making it easy to wheel your suitcases up and over. The room itself was lovely: it had the aesthetics of a well-appointed railway or ship cabin, yet had a generous amount space. Our room was on the corner of the building, and afforded magnificent views out across the lagoon, and back towards the Doge's palace and clocktower. Finally, the staff were great - particularly on our last day. We had checked out in the morning, then spent most of the day in Murano, before returning to the hotel to pick up our bags and take a water taxi to the airport. With a bit of time to spare, the manager suggested we relax out front - and promptly organised two aperol spritz's ... a perfect way to end a perfect stay in Venice.

One small thing was the air-conditioning - this made a constant noise, and it didn't seem possible to adjust it or turn it off. The temperature of the room itself was fine - it was just the constant noise. Ideally, it would be great to have much quieter (or silent) air-conditioning system. Though, to be fair, we have stayed in plenty of other hotel rooms with similar air-conditioning systems. And we were so tired after our days' adventures that we fell asleep regardless!

View from room was wonderful, and the suite room was very nicely decorated and well equipped. Hotel was close enough to St Mark’s Square and all other tourist attractions but just far enough from the madding crowd. Really nice choice for breakfast to set you up for the day. Staff were very friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble during our entire stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast between 8-9 am was particularly busy and twice in a 6 day stay there were not enough seating for us when we arrived in the breakfast room. However, we were able to wait in the adjoining sitting room and coffee would be provided until a table was available; could be problem if on a tight timescale. Not sure if air-conditioning is available during summer months but it wasn’t in the rooms during mid March and even then they were very warm.

Location was amazing and perfect for us, less than 10 mins to San Marco and access to Rialto bridge was a nice walk. Opposite the views were amazing. Beautiful views couldn't have asked for more.

Options for gluten free on the first day were limited despite informing them several times before for options. 2nd day made a little more effort and we were remembered by Murad who had exceptional service. He spoke very well and was extremely attentive. An absolute gem. Suggestions if your gluten and dairy free think about asking about breakfast at time of check in. Other than that...had tremendous service.

The hotel is beautiful located right on the Lagoon - views were fantastic especially the sun set - Room was a little snug despite being a lux double, but there was everything you would need shower is fabulous proper power. kettle in room though no milk. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful - typical Italian breakfast with all you could want - fresh served coffee = and who doesn't appreciate cake for breakfast?

The room was very hot (28 degrees C on the gauge) which we couldn't turn down - mentioned to reception but it did not get rectified - we slept with windows open (March so was ok - but I did get a couple of bites)There is probably air con in the summer months

The hotel was in a great location overlooking the Grand Canal. All the water taxis were outside the hotel too so very accessible. All the sights were within walking distance, yet the hotel was in a quiet location. Our room was great, with great views. Very clean with all you need in your room. Breakfast was great too. Lastly, the staff, they couldn’t do enough for you - they are amazing. Will definitely go back and highly recommend this great hotel.

There was nothing we didn’t like - it was excellent in every way.

The location is perfect! Just a few minutes walk to Piazza San Marco and the crowds. The view is spectacular and also the terrace just outside the hotel where you can have a coffee or a drink viewing people walk by. There were no big boats, street vendors or big groups outside the hotel which was a relief. There was also a little bit of a breeze since it’s so open that felt very nice. Very quiet at night.

Very nice spacious room. plenty of storage. great bathroom. view also very good and staff were friendly and attenuative. being able to adjust the room temperature was a bonus. overall quality room fittings. good location for exploring and also great value restaurants nearby.

breakfast was a bit late for us (8.00 - 10.00) and also fresh bread would have been a nice touch. you could hear the boats even through the double glazing, although you soon get used to the noise.
