Doubletree By Hilton Karaka

The rooms were clean and new. We stayed at DoubleTree when we were in Queenstown and Auckland. Both of them were great and we love it! Auckland’s hotel had free parking which is perfect for self-driven travellers, hotel breakfast were decent and cheaper than what the Cafes nearby could offer. It has fast food and restaurants within walking distance, you could also easily get supper via Uber Eats.

The hotel wasnt built on good sound-proofing material. Every time someone opens their room door and let is automatically slam shut, we could hear it clearly and our wall would tremble. Air-con in our first room wasnt working well and they kindly move us to another room after that.

Thank you for the stay, the hotel and facilities were great. My personal feedback was at the breakfast buffet, which was fantastic, me and my partner felt like we were being circled by hawks and at the very moment a cup or a plate was empty it was snatched up and taken away. In previous buffet breakfast situations i have experienced the table being cleared once the customers had finished and left the table. It gave us a feeling of being watched rather than being relaxed. However, everything else was fantastic, and would definitely come back again :) Ps, the staff were very polite, it just created an atmosphere of l your every move being watched. Regards Gunnar

I loved this Hotel, its quality service and facilities were excellent. There were lots of towels at the pool, and the area was tidy and clean. The rooms were spacious with quality fittings, comfortable beds and couches. The bathroom accessories were lovely and smelt great! The bathrooms in the reception area were lovely, clean and tidy. Overall, we were fortunate to stay two nights and enjoyed it very much!

The menu. I had my 10 year old son and he is a fussy eater. We ended up not eating in the restaurant on the second night, we had LFC instead. We had asked if the kitchen would do something off the in-room menu but were told no. Our friends that stayed (while we went to KFC) then said that there was a bar menu, as people were ordering food poolside. We were not told this or offered any other solution, and subsequently we m issed out on having dinner with our friends.

We were impressed by service, the amenities and the breakfast buffet. The breakfast spread was good and the food was fresh and delicious. The staff were friendly and knew what they were doing. Our kids loved their time at the hotel that we extended our stay for another night. The pool is heated and the gym had all the necessary equipment for a great workout. The facility itself is new and tastefully done. We LOVED the welcome cookie and were looking forward to it after reading all of the good things about it. Overall we had a fabulous time at Doubletree by Hilton, Karaka.

The hotel is new, clean and tastefully decorated. It is located with easy access to the Auckland airport and enroute to Hamilton. Breakfast good value, service staff courteous and efficient.

When I checked in, the front desk could have advised me to take out luggages first before parking. Instead we were directed to the parking lot and then had to drive back to the lobby area to unload because it was windy and raining. Some training of the reception staff is necessary.

1) All staff were well-presented and friendly. 2) The location was easy to find 3) The room was immaculate 4) Breakfast was delicious and having that as an option is brilliant. Had 1 dinner there. Next time I will have dinner there too. 5) The parking is secure 6) Liked having the key card which was easy to look after and not obvious when your out in public like standard keys are. 7) I did like the warm cookies handed out on arrival All staff were awesome from Manager to servers , cooks, bar and cleaning. This will be regular visit once a year for yearly Convention. And I raved to everyone I know about this Hotel.

Room was large and shower was very good.

If one isn't Hilton's Honor member, one would feel quite deprived of certain services and benefits such as no bottled water free of charge in the room, no guest wifi, etc. I personally find this complicated and not a good way to make non members feel welcome. Breakfast was also complicated with full buffet and continental breakfast difference, making it unnecessarily complex for guests in my opinion. Thank God we had full buffet booked, so we didn't have to check what we could take or couldn't.

My daughter and I were on a little staycation for her birthday. The pool was definitely the highlight for her! We only live 20-30mins away and wanted to try out this hotel and so glad we did! Loved it and will come back.

Hotel food was lovely, traveling with little ones they tend to have fussy appetites. Even after chicken and chips at the hotel, lucky we had Macca's as an options across the road and had a few snacks packed as well. The hotel is close to several other eateries, which is handy for next time we come out.

Love the service and amenities

The pool is a non smoke free zone. We have an infant with us, so it was quite hard to enjoy the sun while there are a bunch of people smoking :( We wanted to extend our stay further but was worried these people there are no smoke free zones in the pool. Overall, it’s a very good and clean hotel. Last year we also booked here and noted a really good concierge. This year they have a personal assistant text you and cater to all your needs all the way during your entire stay. Pretty awesome

1) The location is easy to find and immaculate 2) The staff are incredibly friendly from the Assistant Manager, Staff in restaurant and bar, cooks and chefs to the cleaning staff who are incredibly friendly, polite and helpful. 3) The food was delicious and I would highly recommend including the breakfast into booking. On my next stay I will have all dinners in restaurant the flavours were superb and identifiable. This is a safe environment for all people. There were a mixture of cultures and families with children who are all welcome.
