Omg 😲 wow , wow. From the outside of the hotel, it looks lovely, but as soon as we walked into the lobby, it was like an oasis. We waited to get our room organised, and we sat in these beautiful seats surrounded by water. Complimentary drink. Heavenly.

Are you kidding? There isn't one thing that I could fault. It was perfect.

Large rooms and great views.. the little private onsen is a plus.

Nice staff, but unflexible in some situations. We arrived early and it was clear to me that the room will not be ready. However, when we arrived, we have not been greeted at all, the very first we got to hear was: the room is not ready before 3pm! The moment it was 3, all of a sudden we have been welcomed (!), a hot towel was offered and a drink. Good customer service would have welcomed us immediately, offered the hot towel and the drink when we arrived - the fact that we had to wait for the room was anyway unavoidable. So instead of creating an atmosphere of feeling welcomed and taken care of, it left me feel unwelcomed and a disturbing factor. Being all of a sudden welcomed later, only felt like a robot move. 出る釘は打たれる

Enjoyed our stay very much! 1. The outdoor onsen comes with a jacuzzi and sea view. 2. Excellent service by the staff 3. Very good seafood restaurant in the hotel 4. Bus stop just right outside the hotel

Amazing accommodation and great stay !!! I'd like to say the photoes in the hotel websites cannot show how good is the hotel room and how good is the seaside view. The seaside it not talking about the clear water and blue sky but peaceful sea with sunset view. My family felt 100% relax when enjoying the onsan in the private onsan room. The space design of the room is excellent and accommodates to each guests' needs. The breakfast is as great as what the other travelers' comments on the hotel review. Absolutely you can't miss it. Highly recommend. A great deal of food variety and yummy. Fresh ingredients and freshly made. Additionally the service is very high quality and warm. No adverse comments at all. Love to re-booking next time :)

Room was lovely. A bit far from town. Spa service was amazing. French dinner was great. Japanese dinner was very subpar. My husbands wagyu was four slices perfectly prepared. Mine was three chunks with inedible gristle. The sushi restaurant was closed.

Japanese dinner. As above, the steak was below what is expected. And the service for the Japanese meal was lacking. By the end of the dinner very few dishes were removed. Half the table was littered with dirty glasses and dishes. Very disappointing Room. For whatever reason they gave us a handicapped room. Which was fine except a bathroom (the largest) had a weird mirror, sink etc. Again this was fine but they should have let us know. A family with young kids was above us and their jumping up and down woke us every am at 6. Why not put this family in the Ada room BELOW a couple trying to enjoy quiet time?

The hotel is right in front of the ocean so you can enjoy the ocean view while you enjoy their onsen! I thought the hotel had a swimming pool (from the pictures) but there is no swimming pool. Their breakfast buffet was amazing! Best i’ve had in japan so far! Such a huge selection and delicious! Truly an amazing hotel!

The rooftop onsen was closed for maintenance, i am so disappointed:( it would have been so nice to experience it! :( wish they had a swimming pool.. it was a warm summer day and a soak in the pool would have been perfect.

Lovely room with private Onsen in room. Large and spacious for the three of us (extra bed was done by converting the sofa by the window into a large bed - tatami style). Very clean and modern. Gorgeously decorated room with wooden floors, modern bathroom. Toilet was separate, with its own sink as well. Large walk in closet with room to spare for 3 large suitcases. Small kitchenette, well-stocked with drink ware, clean kettle. Private Onsen adjacent to bathroom with incredible view of Beppu Bay. Housekeeping was excellent. Lots of bins in the room. An abundance of footwear provided - Geta for use around hotel facilities, slippers for use inside the room, separate slippers for use on the balcony. Mattresses were comfortable. Location good in the area of Beppu. Staff were polite and friendly, very helpful - especially the gentlemen in the carpark who would help direct our car and park it as well. Welcome drink in the lobby was appreciated. Hotel was made of 3 buildings. Went to the Umi building for seafood dinner (no need to go outside, buildings interconnected). Staff at that restaurant was polite and efficient. Breakfast had a good selection of both Western and Japanese foods.

Gym required staff to take you with a little golf cart.

Superb hotel! Must revisit again if i go to Beppu. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - super spaciois room with different sections - my room's onsen is spacious - the breakfast is served with variety of food, from jp style to western food (their frech toast is super delicious), free flow of wine, freshly squeezed orange juice, vegetable juice, countless and all are of high quality - very clean room - Dinner is good - Staff are helpful and friendly - The massage on the 1st floor is quite nice - around 10mins walk from beppu university station - a bus stop just at the door of the hotel - the view is beautiful - wonderful holiday retreat

- if there is free shuttle bus to kamekawa/beppu university station would be wonderful

Beautiful ocean view from the lobby, restaurant and the room. The room was spacious and very well decorated, super clean and comfortable. The in-room bath was natural hot spring water generously flowing, which allowed us to enjoy watching the sunset and sunrise while soaking in the bathtub. The restaurant had great food and drinks. The service was magnificent. Breakfast buffet was gorgeous. You should find every thing excellent for the price.

The big bath at the main building was under renovation. But the in-room bath made up for the loss.
