very spacious and beautiful view. breakfast is super good cooked fresh for you by the chef for a very affordable sum. staff is very nice and friendly. nice lounge and dining area with drinks. it was fun that you get to choose a bath scent daily for your bathtub. peaceful place to stay, very near the zoo and mount omuro by car. note that you really need a car or it can be inconvenient to get to. the staff are very friendly and helpful, they came to remind us that we forgot to switch off the lights in our car. thank you!

the rooms are only cleaned once in 3 days. we also had to set up the futons ourselves while all our other ryokan stays in japan had set it up nicely for us. our bathtub also drained the water pretty slowly

Had a relaxing and wonderful stay there. Fantastic little hotel, walkable from and to the train station. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. Bath powder was offered everyday for an enjoyable hot bath. Seaview from a large window, can do star gazing from the window at night when the sky is clear. The owner and staff were very friendly. They offer breakfast for only 500 yen.

It might be tough if you are carrying a large luggage and don't have a car, you'll need to walk uphill for 10 min from the train station. Also the hotel doesn't have elevator, ask for second floor if you have accessibility concern.

Futo House is excellent and beautiful. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and affordable. Staff were highly motivated and helpful. We found a local supermarket in the hamlet below that sold incredibly good Bento sets and other delights such as fruits, etc. Wonderful experience.

The inclined road up will be a challenge on foot but manageable if you are not lugging heavy bags after you. However, the saving grace is a short walk. Takes only about 10mins up and going downhill is a breeze to the nearby Futo Train Station. So not too bad overall.

We added the optional breakfast, it was a simple western toast and egg kind of breakfast so don't expect much. What's worth a mention is the feel of coming home. The view from the common lounge area was great. All the staff including kitchen staff who served us breakfast was very welcoming and responsive.

We thought there was a private onsen to the room we booked, but there isn't. It was a private bathroom. So the description was a little confusing. It was well maintained and clean so we're not complaining!

I really like the Japanese style setup. The room was huge since I was travelling solo. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It is a very relaxing and peaceful place.

Location may not be so great if you are not driving. It is an uphill walk from the train station (though it's not very far), and trains are not that frequent so you do need to keep a close eye on timings. There is also no kombini or food options within walking distance.

Everything was absolutely amazing. The room was huge. I think it was meant for a family cos we’ve got 2x double beds plus another Japanese styled bedroom with futons that we didn’t end up using. Breakfast was freshly made on site. JPY 500 extra for each person which works out to be extremely cheap?! Super close to Mt Omuro and Onsens. We drove in and there’s parking on site. Plenty of spaces.

Wish there was washing machine on site. There was no dryer but it was all good.

Nice quiet little hotel, location was good, probably better suited to people with a car like us as I didn't see a supermarket or eatery very close by. Room exactly like on photos, big with nice views. Access to a kitchen between 3pm and 9pm

Despite us having uploaded or passports (something I don't like doing with security concerns) the check in process still took a while.

It’s a very clean property, the rooms are very comfortable. there is so much attention to detail. the breakfast every morning was very good and filling. The complimentary coffee and tea bar are a nice gesture. There were so many options for the kids to enjoy. Our hostess was very kind, welcoming, and spoke good English. The property is also in a good location to stay and travel around for sightseeing.

The tatami must have been new because we could smell it in the room but you get use to it quickly, turning the ac on also helps.

I love the rooooommm!!! Nice view from the room, and my room had big windows, it was so cozy to just sit next to the window and look outside.Room was clean, I couldn't spot any dust 😄. Room had bath, they also give a bath bomb. Comfy bed/futton. Room was spacious, could fit 3 or more people. Fridge inside the room.

Limited time to use kitchen, if you are planning to stay for couple days, this might bother a lil bit. Other than that, everything was lovely for me

Lovely place that was extremely value for money. The room was huge but very cosy. Breakfast was good as well. Owners were extremely friendly and the place is very clean. Private transport is advised as the nearby eateries and attractions are quite a distance by walking. Jogasaki Coast is extremely near by car. Worth a stay!
