During my recent stay at this ryokan, I was delighted by its convenient location, just a short walk from the Izu-Kogen train station. The owner's hospitality was exceptional; he kindly offered to pick us up and was even willing to drive us to various local attractions. This ryokan became our base for exploring Izu, using the nearby station to get to places like Shimoda, Atagawa, and Kawazu. The ryokan itself was impeccably clean, providing spacious and comfortable rooms that felt like a serene retreat. It was fun to pick out our own yukatas. One of the highlights was the online booking system for the onsens. This user-friendly feature allowed us to reserve up to an hour for each session, which was a perfect way to unwind after a chilly day spent exploring. The warm, soothing waters of the onsen were just what we needed to rejuvenate.

This place is amazing, a must stay if you are staying in Ito area. We got twin room, so spacious and gorgeous tatami mats. You can request the owner to pick you up from the Izu Kogen Station on their website. A short walk and drive to the ryokan. They have Yukata available and 2 bath houses you can use. You can reserve you time slot for private bath use using the QR code they give you when you stay. The environment was very homey and relaxing. The staff there are very helpful and will assist with anything you need. Best to use Google translate for communication, but ehy do understand some English. The owner will take you to any attractions nearby, he drove to Izu-Shaboten zoo, next to it was also the lift to take you up the green mountain. We spent 3 hours at zoo and lift experience takes an hour. The best Japanese breakfast they served us each morning. Fresh ingredients from nearby areas. I will stay here again given the chance. Suspension bridge 15 min walk, buddhist temple to min walk, train station 10 min walk away. Best ryokan experience even if your japanese is not good.

The facilities were clean and beautiful (tatami floors) also they lend you yukatas to wear inside but you can also take them out if you want. The meals were delicious, we tried both breakfasts and the plentiful dinner. The personal was very attentive and helpful, always at hand whenever we needed help, and also with good english level so communication was not a problem. They also gave us a ride to the coast and to the train stations. The bath was wonderful, private and easy to reserve. The beds (futon) were very comfortable and the room was well conditioned and with beautiful traditional panels. 10/10 experience

The hospitality was amazing! The owner is incredibly kind; he picked me up from Izu Kogen Station for check-in and went out of his way to show me around the area—dropping me off at Mt. Omuro on day 1 and the trail to Kadowaki Bridge on day 2 after I had checked out, and even sending me to the nearest station after I finished the short walking trail. The meals are delicious, with many little dishes to try, and the menu changes daily. The room is exactly as advertised—clean and cozy, giving the feeling of staying at a Japanese friend's house. In your room, there's a QR code to book the shower/onsen area. Everything has Japanese, English, and Chinese labels or explanations, which is great for international tourists like me. The staff were friendly and helpful. The accommodation is a 7-minute walk to the Izu Kogen station south exit, with convenience stores nearby and a bus stop right next to it. I highly recommend it if you're planning to visit this area; it's laid back and relaxing. I truly enjoyed my stay and exploring the nearby attractions.

We only stayed for one night, but would have loved to stay longer as a jumping off point for exploring the Izu peninsula. The staff was very friendly and exceptionally accommodating. They proactively asked us where we were going to visit/explore, and jumped at the chance to give us a ride to the desired location. It's a relatively small operation, but really seemed like a well-greased system. The premises were old, but kept up really well and clean. The staff member we spoke to grew up at that very location, as his grandfather founded to the ryokan back in the 1930's. You can tell that they know what they're doing. The bathroom, and I do mean bath-rooms, that you reserve for private use were well stocked and clean, and a perfect end to a day full of outdoors and hiking around.

This place is amazing! The owner is a wonderful person who helped me with absolutely every inquiry I had. I have only good things to say about my stay here. Everything is clean, the room was beautiful traditional Japanese style. I also got a lovely yukata to wear during the stay. There was a tea set and freshly brewed iced tea in the fridge when I arrived. The owner carried my bags, showed me around, made restaurant reservation for me, and even picked me up and drove me back from I hike I was on, and to the train station. Hospitality was as I imagined in it would be in Japan <3 Thank you!
It is an old house so you can hear other people walking up the stairs, and it gets very hot on the second floor in summer (there is an air-conditioner in the room though so it is only hot in the shared facilities).

I did not order meals in the ryokan. I really like the room with balcony. It was small but comes with a refrigerator, a table and two chairs. There was this small balcony where I can sit and enjoy my snacks while looking out from the glass window. Very good room for couples or friends. I liked it. They also have very traditional mirror that was covered by a mirror cover, often missed by guests if not looking for it carefully.
No private bathroom but it was ok.

Hotel owner is a very nice person. He picked us from the train station on our day of arrival. At next morning, he drove us together with other guests to Mt. Omuro and also showed us the bus station from Mt. Omuro to Jogasaki Coast. After we finished our sightseeing at Jogosaki Coast, he arranged a van to pick us from Jogosaki Coast together with our luggages and drove us to the train station. This saves us a lot of travelling time and we appreciate very much for the arrangement. There is a Mandarin speaking lady working at the hotel who was also very helpful in providing us information about touring around in the area.
The room does not have a washing basin so it is a bit inconvenient if you want to wash your hands or something else. Since we only stay for one night so it is not a big problem. The hotel is situation along the road so it is a bit noisy. Should not be a problem as the traffic in small town is not busy but for those who are sensitive to noise need to be aware.

The staff were very welcoming and very kindly dropped us off and picked us up at locations in the area as we did not have a car. They even met us from the train and dropped us off again. They helped with recommendations around where we could spend our travel vouchers, which saved us a lot of money. Breakfast was very good - traditional Japanese - and plenty of food. The onsen bathrooms were really lovely and we were able to book times very easily so that we had private use for our family. I enjoyed using the massage chair. The rooms are traditional Japanese style and very cosy. There was a lot to do in the area and it was all very accessible thanks to our hosts.

Beautiful and comfortable ryokan. I appreciate everyone who took care of us and helped us enjoy our stay. Breakfast is worth it and very tasteful with much variety. The private baths are well equipped and easy to reserve. There is plenty of space for groups and many bathrooms to utilize. Very accomodating to international travelers and easy to understand all the amenities provided to us. The owner also provided transportation to Mt. Omuro and Jogasaki Coast, as well as the nearby train station.
Having to leave. I wanted to stay much longer...
