Very nice hotel. Modern, recently refurbished, loved the lobby area, nice place to sit and relax. You can enjoy free coffee in the lobby (very very good coffee!!) the atmosphere was excellent. The room was clean, the hot spring bath was great. Excellent facilities, excellent amenities. We walked to the castle from the hotel, but got a taxi to the shinkansen station. (It’s a little far, but I think this area is better to stay in than near the station). I would stay here again 100%

We didn’t get the breakfast as it would’ve doubled the cost of the booking. A little pricey!

Room: VERY spacious, comfortable, modern and very clean. More than enough room for two people with luggage. Breakfast: VERY generous buffet breakfast with both Western and Japanese options. The dining area is very beautiful, modern and spacious. There were several mini cake/desserts in the morning and they were delicious! Lobby: Lounge area is quiet and relaxing. There are free refreshments (water, tea, coffee) available during certain times of the day. There is also a small gift/souvenir area. Parking: We parked in the small parking lot next the hotel. While the hotel has limited parking, there were no spots available for our car when we arrived. Luckily, there is lots of parking nearby.

There is nothing we didn't like :) It was one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at.

The hotel is near an intersection where all the convenience stores are located across each other - 7/11, lawsons and family mart. You're spoiled rotten with the choices of convenience stores plus there's also a lawsons almost beside the hotel. There's a bus stop at the intersection and also across the hotel (but we always used the one at the intersection). The area near the intersection while a bit lively in the evening, becomes really quiet pass 11pm. Kanazawa buses also stop past 10pm that's why you'd have to take a cab from the train station if you ever stay out late from all the sightseeing. You can also walk to Kenroku-en and even Kanazawa Castle. From Konroku-en, it's also a 14min walk to Higashi Chaya District.

Staff at the frontdesk could've told me that luggage delivery to a different prefecture will be delayed by 1 day, I thought it was same day delivery that's why I messaged in advance. But when I needed to transfer all our luggage upon check-out to Nagoya, they told me that I will only get them day after tomorrow. This information could've been given to me during my message to them weeks in advance. I also had my pocket wifi delivered to the hotel. They couldn't understand us when we asked for it at the front desk. It would help if the staff learned a bit more conversational English to also bridge the language barrier and since they will only get more foreign visitors moving forward.

Loved my room. Very quiet overall hotel and very good location, next to the Samurai district. The lobby has a nice view of the street if you are into people watching. The twin room was very big and I loved the facilities. Shower was fantastic and the bathroom slick and modern. Hotel has a nice vibe and the staff - especially the lady Kanon (sumimasen if I mispronounce your name) was very friendly! Breakfast was good too.

Room was a 10 out of 10. No issues! The only problem I had was with the public bath. My (Japanese) friend and myself found it too hot and we did not enjoy using it unfortunately. We tried it twice and we though the temperature was higher than other places we have been into. Breakfast ended quickly with a last order at 9:00 so you are forced to be up and running a bit early!

Amazing hotel to all regards. Located at the heart of Kanazawa in the Katamachi (Samourai) district, close to main avenue, area full of restaurants and at walking distance to castle, castle park, contemporary museum, and other areas of interest. Superb room design, large rooms and very pleasant bathrooms, toilets separated from shower (rare in Japan). Breakfast by far the best we had in Japan. Absolutely amazing to all regards, with spectacular attention to details. Nice and relaxing public bath. Impeccable room cleanliness. Bravo!

Nothing. The best hotel in our whole stay in Japan.

Everything at The Amanek was absolutely incredible - check in was smooth, the room (a corner triple) was fantastic and comfortable, and the amenities offered were well above many hotels we've stayed at. Although we didn't try them, the hotel offered free drinks at reception, and the onsen was amazing - and included in the price! Breakfast was a huge offering, and the location of the hotel was excellent for getting to Kenrokuen, the castle, shops, restaurants, etc.

Not having a bath in the room was a bit of a shame, although understandable given the on-site onsen.

The hotel offers excellent facilities, providing a spacious and impeccably clean room, perfect for accommodating two people comfortably. The thoughtfully designed bathroom layout adds to the overall positive experience, while the lobby impresses with its stylish and welcoming ambiance. If you are wanting to go around Kanazawa, we suggest that you hop on the Kanazawa Loop Bus. Unfortunately, this option doesn’t show on Google Maps. The closest bus stop for the Kanazawa Loop Bus is Kata-Machi. You can either get a day pass from Kanazawa Station or pay a small fee to get on the bus.

New modern hotel, with some parking spaces available for a small fee (provided you leave your car for the duration of your stay!). Kanazawa is not a large city, so everything is pretty walkable. Theres also public busses etc to take you everywhere you need to go. We made a circular walking tour taking in pretty much all the sights. Breakfast was nice. Plenty of Japanese and Western options and good coffee. Dining room is on the ground floor and has plenty of seats. Also I really recommend the little Super Meat Brothers Restaurant located somewhat behind the hotel.

Staff we encountered at check in didn't really speak that much English, but his translate app did so it worked out. There is only a handfull of parking spaces, but there is a public one across the street for pretty much the same price.

The breakfast at the hotel has a really wide range to choose from, including Western cuisine options and some really good coffee. The lobby area offers complimentary drinks (water, tea, coffee) from 3 PM. The room itself was good, however facing the street, which was very loud at night. Opening a window for fresh air was not an option. The hotel is located on a street that is connected to the main one with all the shops, and restaurants and leading to the main attractions. The public bath area is lovely.

The street the hotel is in isn't the best looking and gets really noisy in the evenings/nights.

The room is so comfy and clean. We love it that the hotel provide a kettle and a set of Japanese tea cups for us to make Japanese tea in the room. But what we like the most is the onsen, a Japanese hot spring pool. We went there every single night during our stay. It was a nice treat after a long walk from the sightseeing. The staff at the reception were also very helpful. She helped us make a reservation for us to eat at this very fine tempura restaurant in the Higashi Chaya district since we can’t speak Japanese.
