Hotel is modern and great location near to the attractions. The room and toilet were more spacious than expected. Loved that there was a washer-dryer machine in the room, and the hotel provided the detergent. There was also a common laundry room for those who needed it. Bed was comfortable, and I liked that there was a seating area. Didn't realise before, but it was great to have a bigger trashbin in the toilet. Interesting to use the RFID room key to access the lift, and the level automatically lights up accordingly when you tap the keycard on the reader.

No issues for my stay, loved the hotel. For those staying longer term, I think the hotel does charge if you require full housekeeping service. If not, limited housekeeping is free (change towels and empty trashbins). Also, if you are carrying luggage, do note that you need to take a bus from the train station to the hotel.

The room was well equipped, including a washing machine. It was spacious and the bathroom had a medium sized bath tub. You could see the Japanese alps from the room.

The location was far from the train station, (at least 15 mins for walking). Fortunately, there were many buses that stopped near the hotel. I had some problems getting to the bus stop as it was raining heavily. There are few eateries nearby. I had to take a bus to the Kanazawa train station for dinner which had many good Japanese restaurants. You also had to pay for room cleaning services and to change the bedding.

This is an excellent hotel close to many tourist attractions, and about 20 minutes walk from the main station. Our room was large and comfortable and we particularly liked having a washing machine in the room. The bed and shower/bath were first rate.

When they say check in is from 3 pm, that's exactly what they mean. We arrived at 2:50 pm and had to wait for 10 minutes to check in even though there were no other guests in reception and the room was obviously ready. A small thing! Otherwise, this hotel was ideal for our 3 night stay.

Room was way too spacious and had its own washing machine which is great. Bathroom was also spacious. You didn't need to separate trash, we would happily do it but it's a plus anyway. Location was good or great depending on what you want to do. Bus is the king in Kanazawa and for a tourist it's hard to understand how bus works, which bus goes where etc since there are no English instructions, so if you want to be more at the center without using buses Tokyu Stay is 15 min walking distance from the center. But if you came for the shrines, gardens, castles, ninja district and fish market etc, location is great. There are A LOT OF hotels in the same street as Tokyu Stay, but they differentiate thanks to huge room and amenities. Price for value was awesome, so I would definitely stay again. Staff was English speaking and they took our luggage both before checkin and after checkin while we discover the city so we didn't need to find a coin locker.

TV didn't have any smart functions. Wasn't an important problem but Tokyu Stay was so high quality we expected otherwise. For very short term stay it might be bad location-wise if you want to be at the exact center.

The breakfast was awesome and having a washer/dryer in the room was a huge plus.

The staff at the hotel does not have a concierge service although they are very professional. When we explained our situation they said simply “they don’t do that”. Next to the hotel is a tourist information center. The staff there called different taxi companies to assist us in finding one to pick us up behind the hotel at our departure date due to us being unable to communicate. Our luggage made it cumbersome to ride the bus and the weather (heavy rain) made walking twenty minutes to the station difficult. I was so grateful for the extra effort they showed us and how welcoming the tourist information staff were.

This hotel was exceptional. We stayed in a superior twin room which was very spacious and comfortable. The room was fresh, new and clean and including a good space to sit and eat as well as a kitchenette. The bathroom area with washing machine was spacious and it included a lovely bath and shower area. We stayed three nights here and it was very restful. It is well located across from the main shrine which then leads to the castle area and the gardens around it. It is also close to a good shopping area and is on the main loop line bus. While it is an easy walk to the station we did get a cab to and from the station easily.

Surprisingly the front desk is quite restricted in what they are allowed to do for guests. They are not able to ring restaurants or ring cabs which can be difficult when you are not able to contact restaurants through booking apps. The main information centre is up the road and they were very helpful.

Location was great, close to the Samurai district and lots of restaurants. The room was large (we opted for the one with a washing machine and mini kitchen). The bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet. Be forewarned, the kitchen is not really a kitchen, just a fridge with microwave and some plates/cutlery. Staff were very helpful when we needed to print material.

The only minor thing was there was no room cleaning/service, even though we were there for three days. We could pay a fee if we wanted that. Towels were offered daily.

We travelled with a 6 months old baby and the room was perfect for us. The washing machine in the bathroom was very convenient, the room was spacious and the beds were very comfy! The location of the hotel is perfect for walking to most of Kanazawa's popular spots. Some of the staff (especially at breakfast) were extremely friendly.

Breakfast was a little disappointing, a bit expensive for what was served. Also there are posters in the elevator advertising for an amazing-looking breakfast, so we were a bit disappointed when we saw the real breakfast.

After I had a frustrating experience with my hotel in Tokyo - the Tokyu Stay in Kanazawa was just the complete opposite and was beyond my expectations. Big cosy rooms, a breakfast, where also vegetarians can find something to eat. I really loved it and what stood out the most was the location. Basically you are in the middle of everything you want to discover in Kanazawa, close to Korinbo, Kanazawa Castle, Kenrokuen, Kanazawa Station, etc. everything and lots of nice restaurants in walking distance. Even it you don't like walking as much as I do, there are 2 bus stops directly in front of the hotel. The staff also helped me to find the perfect Onsen for a day trip. Can't imagine a better place to enjoy the time in Kanazawa.

This is really not a dealbreaker but the check-in took quite some time, as they only have 2 counters at the reception. Normally this is more than enough but at the "check-in or check-out rush hours" you have to wait a bit.

It was an easy 20 minute walk from the train station with our suitcases on wheels. Even though it isn't that close to the station, the location was great - close to the castle, samurai district and fish market. We walked everywhere! The room was not very large, but very well set out and a great bathroom with a wonderful bath. The washing machine was also great! The room felt very new, modern and extremely clean. We also had a wonderful view out our window. It had been snowing! Brilliant value for money. We would definitely stay here again!

Nothing. It was great!
