Happy, friendly and helpful staff not only at reception but also the cleaning staff. Enjoyed a large selection of dishes for breakfast and liked the occupied/unoccupied signage. The 3pm to 8pm free happy hour was excellent. Enjoyed taking the moisturizer sachets from the reception area. Everything was so clean. We are now going to book another Koko Hotel in Nagoya. When we come back to Japan we will be looking to stay at Koko Hotels if available. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We have booked another 2 nights at this hotel as we enjoyed our stay so much and the location is brilliant.

That we had to book out after our 3 nights stay and had to wait until 3pm for the next ,2 nights as we could not get the 2 single beds room and stayed in the superior queen room. It would have been nice to have an earlier check-in.

The staff was extremely helpful. I accidentally booked a smoking room and they had an opening for non-smoking which was great. We decided on an extra night when we got there so they were able to put us in the same room without having to move. Extra toiletries were self-serve in front of the registration desk. We liked that there was everything from face wash, mouth wash, to razors. The tempetarure of the room was nice. We didn't spend much time in the room so lighting wasn't an issue, but I can see why some might think it's a little dim, however, there is a button by the nightstand that made the rest of the lights turn on and we didn't find that to be dim at all. The have towels and robes in the room. We told them we didn't need house keeping since we were only staying 2 nights. We returned to a basket of fresh towels, robes, slippers, and water bottles. Again, pleasantly surprised. Welcome drinks and snacks from 5-8PM were a nice added bonus. They had sake, wine, different teas, and infused water. The location was right in the center of town. I saw previous reviews say that it was confusing. Our GPS lead us a different route as well, but we found it next to the Breitling and Panarai store. Overall, a really great stay for the price. You will not regret booking a stay here.

My husband said that the water temperature was a little off, but otherwise, we didn't notice it the second night.

Very new&modern, most staff was able to communicate decently in English, free drinks and small snacks in the lobby every afternoon. Good location within the city, walking distance to most attractions and bus stop right next to it. Modern room and comfy pillows and actually a European style bathroom which is a big plus. Have the option of opting out for room cleaning which I appreciate.

The semi double room has a very (!) small bed, feels almost too crowded tbh. No humidifier, which I normally dont care about but you cannot open the window one bit so the air gets very bad in the room after a while.

Great Value for money and location. Right next to ask the designer shops and a stone's throw away from the samurai district and the castle and gardens. We were amazed at the location for the price. Good amount of freebies necessities.

The staff could have been more informative. (Language barrier mostly) When we enquired about forwarding our luggage, they told us to bring it down the next day when we checked out. It was only then we found out it wouldn't arrive for 36 hours meaning we had to go shopping for underwear/phone chargers etc as soon as we got to our next location. The bed was stupidly tiny. I know we booked a small double, but that's usually the size of the room. The bed was about the size of a single plus 1/4 or 1/2 again. No view, but expected for the cheap price.

Very good hotel, good location and good value for money. We were staying here when the Noto peninsula earthquake hit and had to extend our stay by one day due to the cancellation of all trains on January 2nd. They let us move rooms free of charge when my friend had stress-induced sickness, so the staff were really amazing in that regard. Staff also handled the crisis well and responded as instructed.

We fled back to the hotel for safety when the earthquake occurred, but all guests were stuck in the lobby for a really long time since the elevators couldn’t be used and there are no stairs except the emergency stairs which aren’t easily accessible. Eventually we were all led to our rooms using the emergency stairs. Only having emergency stairs is the norm for Japanese hotels though so it’s not out of the ordinary. That being said, due to the active tsunami warning (luckily none hit the city), being in the lobby on the ground floor was scary.

There were free amenities in the lobby from moisturizer, to razors, to bath salts. As well they had free drinks in the lobby from 15:00-20:00 for all guests. The room was comfortable. Our favorite amenities were the mini fridge which was restocked with water everyday, a water kettle with tea and coffee bags, and a clean bathroom with a bathtub! This was one of the nicest and best value accommodations we have booked in Japan. I miss it already!

Excellent location, wonderful room and amenities, delightful staff. Walking distance to everything in Kanazawa, especially Kanazawa Castle, Kenrokuen, and Higashi Chaya. The room had a thoughtful design, such as a heated mirror in the bathroom so it didn't fog up. We stayed three nights and didn't ask for room cleaning service, but still received a basket with fresh towels and more coffee/tea every morning. We also appreciated the happy hour, the sake was delicious! We will definitely stay again whenever we next visit Kanazawa.

Nothing - it was perfect!

The room was a nice size. I believe it's a newish hotel. It was clean and fresh. The staff were very helpful, they helped me organise my large suitcase to be sent onto my next hotel. The location was right next to a shopping centre and another shops in the area. It is a 10-15 min walk to Kanazawa Castle. The City Loop bus is across the road which takes you to Kanazawa train station. Each evening there was a "happy" hour with wine and sake on offer, forget wine time, its "sake time" lovely hotel, will probably stay there again.

The mattress was a little on the hard side for me.

The room itself was quiet large for what we were used to in Tokyo and the location was amazing! The location was super close to all the well known sights, be it the Kanazawa Castle (and Castle Park), the Samurai District and even the Omicho Market. Everything was reachable by foot and the loop bus was the perfect way to get to Kanazawa Station. The bus station was directly across the street of the hotel's entrance and Katamachi was also right around the corner! The breakfast was also really nice I can only recommend a stay!

There was nothing to complain about!
