Everything and of course the Receptionist, she’s so amazing compared to Receptionists in Tokyo Chuo-ku Ginza and Minato ku Akasaka added into that I used to stay also in Aoyama,,, but this Hostel is really makes me feel the Harmonies,, unlike in Tokyo GINZA the most worst hotel in the entire world

Nothing it’s all perfect and very cheap compare to Tokyo Chuo ku Hotel located in GINZA , staff are not Japanese so they don’t know the basic moral ascendancy of traditional Japanese

What a glorious find! Book this place-you will not regret it. - great location a couple of minutes walk from both A and B trams, walk to the castle and centre - beautiful hostel with lovely interior -tatami mat floors and very comfortable futons - the hostess is very sweet and the whole place has a lovely feel to it - kitchen is big - super clean - rooftop observatory and table - laundry

Nothing, it was perfect

Lovely stay in Kumamoto! Near a tram stop, easily walkable into the city center and to the train station. Room was small but fit all my luggage without issue. Hostel generally was clean and quiet, and the common room was great to sit in for a while in the evenings. The wifi connection was strong throughout the building.

My room got very little natural light, and when I was out for the day I struggled to get any airflow into the room. The downstairs bathroom flush is quite loud which is a little embarrasing when you need to use it at night.

The hostel has a dose of magic, with stunning decoration. I only stayed one night and would have appreciated staying longer. By the way my flight in had been postponed by a day, and the hostel was more than happy to accommodate moving my stay 1 day back without any extra charge. The facilities were great, and i wish i had stayed longer to enjoy them.

The room was small, but this was very understandable given how much i was paying and the room i selected. But i was very comfortable and had no issues.

I stayed there for extra 2 more days becoz it is sooooo cute and comfy! Would definitely visit again! I love the tatami style room, bed n blanket are soo thick and cozy. The staff is sooo nice and helpful, introduced a lot of good places in Kumamoto and she speaks English well! The hostel is well decorated and you can find Kumamon and Kumamoto-related stuff everywhere in the hostel! Love it! feels like the owner is proudly presenting her collection! Washing Machine, Rooftop area, kitchen, comics, massage chair, computer... you name it, you find it in the hostel. Walking distance to the city centre, bus station

The atmosphere of the place was extremely relaxing. This traditional Japanese house has been tastefully renovated and decorated. The host is also really sweet - she even offered me a larger room than the one I had booked. My stay was just perfect. 100% recommend!!

As I stayed 1 night, I wasn’t able to enjoy the place to its full extent (especially the wonderful rooftop!) I would have loved to stay longer.

Even better in person than in pictures! The decor is phenomenal, and so fun to look at everything, like a cute, calm museum. We loved the chill room upstairs where there's a huge collection of manga, English DVDs, massage chair. The roof terrace is cute with a view of Kumamoto castle all tiny and lit up. The host is super kind! Very very clean as well, and cute Ghibli music trinkles at the front entrance.

the host was really kind and friendly, allowed me check in earlier and offered me a larger room with no charge, also introduced the city and shops nearby to me. the place is very cozy and warm, definitely a good choice for a solo traveller with good price, highly recommended.

It's like being in a fantasy world. Everything is designed with love and looks beautiful. In every room you discover more beautiful details. I was allowed to check in much earlier and thus arrived in time for the fireworks festival. The reception was very friendly and helpful. I felt very comfortable. I can highly recommend it. I wish I could have stayed longer.

the host is super nice and very good at English ! the vibe is so excellent with full of traditional Japan deco, i love this so much. the facilities n cleaniess are of course very good!

some comments saying about the sound and location nearby when at night. these 2 are ok to me as i will wear ear plug for sleeping and not come back too late at night.
