Conveniently located at the shopping district with lots of eateries around the hotel. The tram is just outside the hotel. Kumamoto Castle is just a 5min walk away. Ice machine, microwave oven and coin laundry available for guests use were a plus point. Bath and shower were great too.

The room is small. Bed is tucked to the wall. Minimal space to move about or for luggage.

The shower and bed (queen size) were great! All light switches could also be controlled from the bed; this was convenient. New unopened water bottles were left everyday. There was also a washing machine in the building; this was convenient but took hours to wash and dry. Great location.

The walking space in the room was extremely limited; my husband and I couldn't stand in any space together.

The room is very clean and new. The room size is quite big in Japan even we bring the big luggage but still have some space. The location is walkable to shopping street.

The car park where hotel had a deal is quite far for walk along with big luggage. But if you early check out, you can find a lot of car park near by that the price is higher.

Really clean room and the staff were super friendly. I like that they provided shower towel. Location was great too, i took the A line tram which stopped right in front of it. Then washing machines were awesome, it can wash and dry so i dont have to come back twice. It will be good if check out is a little later.

Nothing much, just a suggestion that hooks can be added behind the bathroom doors for additional spots to hang my clothes.

The location opposite the castle and adjacent to the shopping arcade and innumerable restaurants is great. All the staff were very friendly, the room was thoroughly cleaned, The Japanese breakfast (fixed, not buffet) had many different items and was tasty.

For one person, the enormous king bed took up too much space. I'd prefer a smaller single bed to make the room feel more spacious.

There are many restaurants near the hotel. The castle close by.

Dropping off luggage was vey inconvenient since there's no vehicle drop-off area.

The facilities are beautiful, clean, and modern. There are nice amenities available. The location is incredible.

The bed was the hardest I've ever slept in and only a single comforter was provided, not even an extra sheet.

Daiwa hotels are simply the best. Best bathroom by far. The rainfall showers are great! Room sizes are very good. Great location with nice views. So many good places to eat nearby.

amazing location, my room has a great view of the castle. Friendly staff and the room was fitted with a nice TV which I can log in and watch netflix.

perhaps the glasses in the shower need a proper cleaning, as it was full of water stain…

Extremely good location, close to shopping arcades, sightseeing spots and a few meters away from a tram stop. Breakfast was very well served and delicious. Staff was attentive and coffee was good. A great stay in all, we recommend it.

Room was a bit too small but otherwise everything was very good.
