it is nice experience to stay in this hotel. the hotel is hidden in a small lane, so it is hard to find, but the architecture is traditional KYOTO style and is quite peaceful thanks to its location. the hotel is quite close to metro stations and bus stops, and it is only ten minutes' walk from it to shijo kawaramachi. the room is warm and exquisitely designed. we are really satisfied about it. the hotel does not provide breakfast, but there is quite a lot of options on the main street just a few steps from the hotel. there is a large supermarket on that street so it is convenient to buy some groceries.

the stairs to the second floor is too narrow to let go luggages. the check-in location is four KARASUMA stations away, opposite the KYOTO station, which can be a bit of a hassile. the cleaning service is not arranged daily and can be occasionally forgotten.

It is a very nice looking accommodation in a good location (we walked home most days). The streets around are beautiful, and there are a couple convenience stores nearby. We were very comfortable in the room (clean, comfy beds, good aircon and bathroom) and if we come back to Kyoto we'll choose the same place to stay.

We got the room with bunk beds, and the stairs were a bit hard to climb (too vertical). A microwave in the common room would be super helpful.

The location is about 10-15 mins walk away from the Train Station and will get you where you want to go. The bus stop is also about 5 mins walk away, which is the better option depending on your destination.

The bed could have been a little better, but that's a personal preference and probably just a nitpick. On my stay, the front door didn't close properly on its own, therefore it wasn't locked if the person who went in/out didn't push it to close. However, the area-even at night, felt safe.

The residence really looks like a traditional house and the neighbourhood is very quiet. The bigger room we stayed was really nice and comfy especially considering the Japanese standard of smaller rooms. Staff is really nice and helpful.

We had a small incident in the first room but was resolved by calling the dedicated line and we were offered a satisfactory solution on the spot at 2 am.

Lation, the quietness, the suite with the tatami is great. love the amenities, like washing machine and microwave and grill toaster.

Room a little dusty, should have more instructions on where to leave the trash and how to find stuff in the room, for example, second roll of toilet paper. Dishes are located too high to reach. No staff on site but an emergency phone to call. But, we made it like home after the first night. No big deal. Stairs are narrow for big luggages.

This is great place, good location in a quiet lane off the street. The small apartment is comfortable, with AC, a kitchenette and excellent shower. There is a nice hang-out area in the lobby of the building. However, we stayed 5 nights and the bedsheets were not changed, nor was the apartment cleaned during this period. Otherwise, all good.

Everything was great. The apartment was built and fitted out to a high standard. It was also a modern take on a classic Japanese design: the machiya style. With lots of traditional and modern design features. Also in a nice quiet area with restaurants and bars not far, easy acees to the subway, and even Gion being walkable (about 30 minutes)

We stayed here for 3 night during our honeymoon trip and they gave us a box of chocolats and a cute note as a gift. Very cute and kind! Their check-in desk is very close to the train station. Easy to contact them via mail during the stay and they respond very quick. We made use of luggage service with them which was very convenient.

The facilities were wonderful- good sized room for 3 travelers. Provided robes, slippers, and toiletries. Location was quiet and tucked away from the center of Kyoto. 10 min walk to subway or bus top. Family mart close by.

No maid service unless staying for longer than 4 days.

Big bed, water pressure, spacious bathtub, spacious bathroom, air conditioner.

The position of the bed was uncomfortable for our legs to pass through in the other corner, cleaning only one time in 5 days, and just for changing the towels and taking the garbage; what was supposed to be cleaned are the floors and the toilet.
