room was spatious, clean. The staff was very friendly and advised me well. The location is great.

the breakfast was not so good, however there are a lot of stores in the surroundings that offer amazing food.

The room was very clean and quite spacious as for Japanese standards. It had USB sockets. I particularly enjoyed the design (glasses, kettle etc) and the high quality sound system.

The staff didn't explain if we could use the water tanks in the lobby or if there was coffee available. I still don't have the answer. As for a 4-star hotel with a 4 star price, the difference with an APA hotel was little (the sound system, the fancy kettle, a bit bigger room). The pillows were very uncomfortable, and the ventilation was too loud. I stayed for 3 nights. The area isn't very interesting for tourists. There is no view from the window, and it is impossible to check the weather.

Modern boutique hotel. Lovely details and massive shower room. The beds were comfortable and quite spacious room in general.

1. There was no window 😅 there is a fake window that sort of gives the light but you can’t see anything through it. For me personally that was a bit claustrophobic. 2. We asked for a taxi to get to the central station as it was raining outside and we had heavy luggage however we were told at the reception that we should call the taxi ourselves (we didn’t have Japanese phone number to use the taxi app) so we ended up walking for 30 min in the rain with the luggage. Just found it strange they couldn’t help us 🤷🏼‍♀️

The room was very clean and had nice calming decor. I really enjoyed the welcome drink, especially dashi. Liked the idea of separate toilet and bathroom.`

The middle-aged female staff who helped me check in was unfriendly and very blunt. There was a lack of storage for our clothing and towel. Extra hooks and racks would have been more convenient. The laundry room had musty and mouldy smell.

Very good location, we could go walking to Gion, Nishiki Market and other interesting places. Great installations and the staff spoke english very well!!! Also when we needed a taxi they stopped it for us. Very clean and rooms were quite big compared to other hotels we went in Japan. Totally recommendable and would definitely repeat the stay here!! Free bottles of water every day in the room and the usual free water and tea in the lobby.

The location of the hotel was okay. Food are easily accessible. The was coin laundry in the hotel which is very convenient.

While the coin laundry is convenient, hotel could not do anything about it if someone else hoards the machine. We waited for over 30 mins to use even if someone has completed. It requires user password to unlock the machine after completed. Some guest can be very inconsiderate.

The room was huge, with a functional sitting area, separated toilet from washroom, extra wide shower space. The room was clean everyday with bottles of water and nespresso pods replaced free of charge. Location was perfect with bus and train accessibility. (Future Kyoto travellers, the bus are trains are all flat fares, for the bus step on the back and pay as you leave at the front.)

Very centrally located on Shijo Avenue. Modern hotel with en suite rooms. We liked the bed quality, cleanliness, mini fridge, and the general amenity of the room.

The reception area is also a restaurant. We could sit around if it's not crowded but this wasn't very relaxing. The room windows don't open. Mixed impression about the service - one man was very professional, but the other junior woman not at all. The overall atmosphere was more fitting for business travellers who don't want to interact with others.

The location is good because you're on Shijo-dori which is the main street in Kyoto, so public transportation is very available there, and it's also a 20-minute walk from the Kamo River and Pontocho. The room was very clean. Shower's great. Nice view from the window. A lot of light.

My "queen size bed" was two single beds put together which was a little uncomfortable. But not something I would consider a deal breaker of course. It's a nice room.
