The room was absolutely stunning and larger than most apartments. Very high quality toiletries and skincare, and beautiful hinoki bath. Breakfast was excellent with so many options. Hotel was conveniently located next to Kyoto station and walkable to Gion and restaurants.

The bathroom was exceptional very beautifully designed. The room was clean and quite. The bathroom products were excellent as was the tea. Also the breakfast is a must include. It is one of the best buffets I have ever had. Both traditional American, European and Japanese breakfast was offered. It is about a 10 walk from the train station and a straight walk to hotel with no turns.

The desk had floor seating which was a little hard for me to use so this was wasted space in our room that could have been better utilized.

The reception and concierge staff were excellent. They were very helpful to provide maps of nearby attraction, recommendation of restaurants, even called for tour's opening hours as we did not speak Japanese. The hotel also made available e-bikes for the day and provide upon request Amazon fire stick to view streaming US channels. We will definitely stay at this hotel again for the excellent facility and the location near subway and Kyoto Station.

Beautiful rooms, beautiful lobby, beautiful gifts available for purchase. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Breakfast buffet was exceptional and a perfect way to start the day. I really can’t say enough about this hotel. They also seem to promote a lot of contemporary Kyoto artists and art events, which I really appreciated. I found out about exhibitions from them that I otherwise wouldn’t have — and that really became a highlight of my stay in the city.

Nice buffet, location is good, near Gojo station. Even we put the do not clean room message, they still put the change of new supplies and new bottles of water in front of the door. Very attentive!!

There is not enough space to hang clothes, If you need to do some simple manual laundry. There are no blackout curtains on the windows, so you can only rely on the curtains in the interior compartments.

Lack of variety of food within the breakfast buffet and small portions that require fill-up every 10 to 15 min.

It is hard to fault the hotel Kanra in Kyoto. From the moment you walk in the doors the hotel feels luxurious and calming. The staff are helpful and made our stay seem less and easy giving recommendations and guidance. The rooms are large and beautifully fit out. The highlight of the stay is the bathroom fit out with the beautiful bathtub.

The rooms are lovely, with a tatami area and a beautiful bathroom and tub to rest after a long day. The breakfast is delicious, with many options to choose from. The front desk staff was very helpful during our stay to hice recommendations! The hotel is a 5 min car drive from the station, which is very practical. Other tourist areas are about 20min walk
