The room is great Japanese style with tatami surface, all chairs and table in japanese traditions. Great bath in the room and I like the toilet isolated from the bath area. I have got a nice stay in this hotel with 2 of my sisters. The room is like an appointment and privacy. Body, cleansing, creams of bodies and shampoo were included for a free to use it during bath and shower area. I really had got a uniq nights in This hotel This hotel is near by most attractions and halal restaurants for Muslims
It’s a good idea if the hotel provide Halal breakfast ♥️♥️

It was a beautiful Japanese styled property located within minutes walk to Gion district and places of interest eg Kiyomizu dera, Yasaka shrine. Lots of restaurants, convenience stores and bus- stops nearby and main shopping area is nearby by bus or a leisurely 20-30 min walk. Kyoto station is reachable by taxi or 20min bus ride away. Staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. Room is spacious although bathroom is a little small but functional. I really enjoyed my stay and highly recommend it .
Nothing.

The Ryokan was literally 3 minutes walk from Yakasa Pagoda in Gion's heart. The room was beautiful, spacious and the tatami gave the "japanese tradition" feeling to our staying. You can enjoy the public bathroom available in the facility.
We thought we booked for breakfast and dinner, which later we discovered was not included. It seems it's not possible to book them from booking and when you arrive at the Ryokan it's already too late to get a slot

To be treated like an Emperor with every attention to detail. Absolutely amazing and a life time experience.
I think, for the price you pay and there is nothing wrong about it for the level of service you get, 10am check out time is a bit too early (12:00 would be great) and check in time (15:00) is a little too late. 13:30 would be a bit more fair. Guests do pay this sort of price for the experience so let them enjoy it a bit longer and they might come back more often.

Atmosphere and room was excellent for Ryokan
It’s a bit far from the nearest station; about 13 or so minute walk and when we arrived we thought we booked the room with dinner included but was told upon arrival that we didn’t so we had to look elsewhere. It’s a shame because from the photos they looked delicious and were it not for the food we wouldn’t have chosen this accommodation

The vibes of the hotel is unimaginable, the experience of authentic Japanese architect and style was worth it. not to mention the room came with Japanese style breakfast. we have informed the hotel before hand that we need Muslim friendly option and they have delivered to our expectation. The location is perfect, walking distance to major attraction and there is nearby metro station. Room size is good.

Ryokan's we were lead to believe are all about the service. They store your shoes for you, provide tea on arrival, and are incredibly courteous throughout the whole process. The room was nice and larger than other ones we had, and it was beautiful throughout the whole ryokan. The location -- right next to Gion, is superb.
It's a little bit less traditional (normal beds, not floor beds). The "service" aspect, for the price, felt underwhelming -- a couple times they weren't present and had to leave shoes in awkward places or wait while they fetched our shoes. The place closes at midnight/12AM -- so if you want to stay out late you're a bit limited. It was hard to communicate pre-booking about whether dinner was included (extra fee), but was told it was unavailable after some time. Similar, we asked if they could arrange a Maiko (something they adverise), but got told after a couple weeks that it wasn't possible.

Traditional dinner was amazing experience. Breakfast as well. Everyone was so gracious and thoughtful. Truly appreciated the thoughtful details. Really enjoyed the onsen (hot bath). Even had a private onsen in our room for my family members who were not comfortable with the japanese traditional style.
Nothing - they even had umbrellas to loan us for the rain and items we may have forgotten. So thoughtful.

The location was fantastic, in the heart of the Gion which was a great area to walk around. The staff was outstanding and very friendly. The rooms were beautiful.
We were not well prepared to sleep on the floor mats for 4 nights, that was not the property's fault. We just are not used to it.

We loved the traditional Japanese meal in our room. The public baths were amazing after a day of walking. And staff was amazing!
There was some noise in between the room but overall the ryokan was in a great location, great staff and the public baths were again clean and amazing.
