The room was super clean and had all facilities needed- a teapot, cups, all bath needs, even a hair conditioner and body lotion in big bottles which is much better than small sachets. At the reception one can take tooth kit. A lot of clean towels. Garbage is removed every day. Room service once in 3 days. Check in is only before 21.00 which is not very good but the host was very kind to wait for us as we had been late for the train and arrived at 23.00 Quiet premises.

We didn't find a subway nearby so every day we had to walk to the hotel for 2km from the Kyoto station. Maybe we just didn't see it. No cafés nearby.

The room was very clean, and the carpets in the room and wallpaper looked new. The location was in a residential neighborhood and was very quiet, which we liked. We were only two blocks from a main street where there was a Starbucks for breakfast and other restaurants if we didn’t grab dinner elsewhere. Easy access to trains and taxis which were our main choices of transport. We did ask for a shower in the bathroom, if you are not from Japan, it may startle you to see a Japanese style bath and shower. The tub is very deep but short, and the shower controls connect to the sink. The water pressure was great, no difficulty washing hair.

What we didn’t like was the lumpy and rather pokey mattresses. They seemed firm and dense, a bit like a futon, but there were springs in them that poked you when lying down. Even my skinny daughter felt uncomfortable trying to get to sleep. I mentioned that it seemed the hotel had just been renovated, but I’m not sure about those mattresses!

The hotel manager Jun is super awesome, friendly and helpful. The place has all the amenities you need. We stayed here for 10 nights! I would say the rooms are very small for foreigners but in a funny way. It's quiet so you'll get a great night sleep. There are microwaves, tea, coffee, cutlery and towels always available.

It's far from most things you are going to see in Kyoto so be prepared to always travel 40 min by bus. The beds are really hard. The shower gel is very drying and swelled up my eczema so if you have sensitive skin I don't reccommend it. The cleaners always yelling in Chinese really loud and I saw them eating their spread of lunch on the beds which isn't very hygienic. So maybe get them a table or something.

Even with a one-year-old child, there was nothing dangerous and it was safe and comfortable. And it's very cheap considering the market price.

It's not the hotel's fault, but the road was so narrow that we couldn't park our car. But there is a coin parking nearby so it's not a big problem. The replies to my email inquiry beforehand were not kind, but the actual hotel staff were very kind.

Hotel is clean as per their description, but not close to train station. There's bus stops and hospital are nearby and shops with walking distance.

Car park is only two spots so don’t count on it, public parking around the corner is +/- 1500Y per night. Rooms are quite noisy from the hallway and neighbours. Soundproofing could be better.

Nice and quiet. Affordable accommodation. Happy to look after luggage before check in as arrived way earlier so we could go explore Kyoto.

Everything. The service is very good. The hotel is totally good. I recommend and certainly coming back.
