+Great location in the immediate proximity of the deer park, holy sites and nature. The deer are pretty much right there, already on the way to the place. Nearby, there's a pond where turtles chill and swim around in. Train station within a fairly easy walking distance. Also, shopping, restaurants and convenience stores are "right there". +Comfortable room. +Helpful staff (although there are linguistical challenges beyond Japanese).

-The sign of the place is small and a bit difficult to see. You are more likely to find the place with the help of finding the restaurant next to it, first. Remark (neutral): Turns out there's basically no staff present, unless you come by the person doing the cleaning. She was cool and helpful. You will get codes to enter the building and your room. You, pretty much, cannot enter your room until the check in time. If you must get in earlier, you will have to deal with the "head office", which is supposed to be somewhere near the train station. (or call)

As we approached the hotel, we were greeted by deer at the pond. The room was spacious and there was plenty of bed space for my family In the morning when we ventured off to Nara park, another deer was having his breakfast just outside the door.

The only thing I think they could have done better, as a self-checkin hotel, would be to include a photo of the building entrance. We got there a little late and could have used a little more direction about which part of the building was the entrance for the hotel. Once we got inside everything was lovely.

We extreamly love this place because of the location is closed to Nara Park ane the main activities we can do in Nara. Street for shopping and restaurant is also near by. Moreover, we got utmost supports from the owner. We have forgotten our clothes and the owner helped us to send it back by post. We are truely appreciated the service minded and helpfulness from the owner very much. The cleanliness of the room are very tidy and bif enough for oir group with 4 people. We will absolutely book at this place again when we come back to Nara. We do really like this place. Thank you very much for all the convinient and comforted stay. Wilairat

Nothing to complain at all.

The location is next to the park and indeed with views of the temple from the living area. the tv could connect to my Netflix which was great for entertaining the kids. the beds were comfortable, not the soft kind with little support. the room was carpeted and aircon worked well. it was within walking distance to the tourist centre which had a minimart which is not opened 24by7. Food street and options are nearby within walking distance, Diaso there is big and close by, along the food street. The place is clean and the carpeted floors are nice. Good sized room with space for luggage and wardrobe to hang clothing. Nearby parking on weekday came up to 1300 yen per day. However on weekends, it was expensive, double the price. It is almost the cheapest available within walking distance.

no washing machine and nearby laundrymat.

Basically it's like a nice Airbnb. We liked the spacious, bright and clean room, the location was fantastic, close to the sights and in a silent neighborhood. It was easy and convenient to check-in with the PIN codes. We got many towels. We travelled with our 10-month-old baby, it was absolutely safe for her (except for one window). There were bathrobes and toothbrushes (many), we haven't use them. Soap, shampoo and conditioner was provided. Hint: Aka Tombo is a fantastic breakfast place nearby.

There was no safety lock on the window next to the bed, so we moved the bed away from the window. Windows are not transparent, maybe because of the close buildings.

The room is very spacious and all basic necessities were provided for. Check-in is a breeze even in the absence of personnel. Hotel is an unmanned staff btw. Window has the view of the temple.

Maybe the walls are not that thick because we were asked by our neighbor traveller to keep it down. Our bad as well. Also there is no breakfast served and it's quite new to us that hotels in Japan jut offer quite late check-in and quite early check-out. (3pm check-in and 10am check-out)

The location is fabulous. Practically in Nara park. And so close to Naramachi, the neighborhood just south of Sarusawa Pond where there are many quaint restaurants that serve great food, not to mention the narrow streets with traditional houses that are a delight to explore. The check-in instructions were easy to follow.

A place to hang towels in the bathroom would be nice.

Location is absolutely perfect. Easy to get in with provided codes. There's no reception staff so everything is very simplified. Room is very japanese flat type, so it was nice to use the more typical japanese bathroom.

Air-conditioning was fixed above the head so it was difficult to set night mode that it wouldn't blow in the face. Otherwise it's a good option for short stay in Nara.

Our room was quite large by Japan standards for a moderately priced room, and it was in a central area near Nara Park and shopping areas.

There could have been more shelf space and hooks for clothes in the bathroom. The heater was difficult to control.

Hotel is clean and the staff is helpful (although only online because of covid). Self-check-in procedure and rules of the place are well described. Good location - beautiful pond right next to the hotel (during our stay we saw a family of deers there everyday). There are also some shops and restaurants within 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
