I've stayed in a couple of the Henn Na chain, and the rooms are super comfortable, and spotlessly clean. I think they're exceptional value for money. This one is very convenient for the station, the park (with its deer, museums and temples) and the Naramatchi neighbourhood of traditional houses. One exceptionally convenient feature is the luggage-deposit machine in the reception area, which is invaluable if you arrive in Nara before check-in is available, or can't leave town until a few hours after check-out.

Compared to the other Henn Na hotel I've stayed in, breakfast was disappointing. It's fine, but it's only a choice of two options rather than the generous buffet you get at the branch in Kanazawa. The hologram check-in characters weren't nearly as fun as the robot dinosaurs you get elsewhere in the chain.

Properly was very clean, location was very convenient and just a 10 min walk to the station and a 15 min walk from the park.

The reception is not manned, you have to self check-in, which in most cases is fine. However, you would need a special card to check-in your luggage/belongings in case you arrive at the hotel earlier than the agreed check-in time. We did not have this card but luckily a kind guest helped us out by lending us their IC card.

The room was wide, the shower was wide too with a strong water pressure. The bed was very comfortable and had a window. Me and my mother felt really good. The restaurant with western-style breakfast was so nice And the free charge luggage storage was great 😃👍 I love this hotel. I would like to stay again.

There was no woman amenity available like, the makeup removal or any face cream. To enter the shower, it lacks a small table or something close to it to put your clothes when you put off your clothes.

We enjoyed our o/n stay in a Quadruple room which had 4 single beds and seating area. For a family of 4 (2 adults & 2 teens) it was a really spacious room and was great value for money. The hotel is practically next door to Kintetsu-Nara Station and only a 10 minute walk from Nara Station. Nara Park & Todai-ji Temple are a 10-15 minute walk. There is an option to store your luggage if you arrive early by using your Suica card or you can contact hotel staff via an internal phone. The hologram check in was fun.

Conveniently located. A couple of minutes from Kintetsu Nara Station, 10 minute walk from Todaiji, Kasuga Taisha and Nara National Museum. Also, having a spacious room with a small lounge area and 4 single beds was a rare find. It might have been the most affordable and most spacious hotel we stayed in Japan.

The breakfast was good value for the quality. The room was very clean and the staff very courteous. The location is great too. The shelves of manga books were such a novel but cool idea. The ease of checking in/out was a pleasant surprise.

The bathroom is rather small and I am a tall person so space is tight. There was only one set of towels with no extras. I have stayed all over the world and there is always one extra set of towels even when there is only a single occupant. Also, on Saturday morning, breakfast service was slow because there were only two people working and there were a lot of customers. Some of the drinks were out and the poor staff was serving, cleaning up and ringing the cash register while the one staff had to stay in the kitchen to prepare the food. Probably the hotel management should have assigned one more staff for the long holiday weekend crowds. The staff were still so very polite and took care of us but I felt so bad that they had to handle so many activities to get the place running.

It was very close to Nara Park and all the other attractions! also very near to Kintetsu Nara Line (3 min. walk) and the shopping district with cafes! We were very satisfied with our stay, the amenities were great quality too with generous number of charging ports. The staff were very accommodating and the self-check in and out were all very simple and easily done! Will definitely come back again :)

About a 7 minute walk to the train station. From which you can easily get the train to kansai Airport, it takes 6 minutes. You can't walk to the airport. You can use an ice card (suica etc) to get the train. The train station is right next to a shopping mall with food court that stays open till 8pm. And next to that a large outlet mall. The onsen in the hotel is nice. Comfortable clean room. Great a/c.

This has been my favorite stay so far in Japan! I am a solo traveler so I have gotten used to small spaces and crammed hotels, but Henn na Hotel Nara amazed my expectations :) The room layout was lovely and the hotel overall was very clean and spacious. The walls are thick so I wasn’t able to hear anyone around me or in the halls. It is also a less than 5 minute walk from the station.

Modern hotel with humans free reception (check-in/checkout). Room was small but comfortable. Bed was big enough for 2 people. Location with city center, close to train station (2min walking), and the market. Nara park is walking distance too. Recommendef for families with kids

There were only 2 options for breakfast: you could choose between french toast and croquet monsieur. No any other option.
