This hotel has the best service we have encountered in Japan. It is very friendly, warm, and thoughtful. When we arrived at the hotel, they prepared disinfectant wipes and hot tea for us. Moreover, every staff members are very friendly and thoughtful, giving us guidance and suggestions that were very in place. They even helped us carry our luggage when we left. The thoughtful service deserves full marks

But I think the hardware facilities of the hotel are average, such as the large temperature difference between morning and evening during the days we stayed, the window of the room we stayed in leaked air, and even though we slept on the ground with the air conditioning on at night, the bed closest to the window was still very cold, and we could feel the cold wind blowing on our faces

The staff here are absolutely amazing. So friendly, and try so hard to bridge the language barrier for foreign tourists. I lost my phone in the taxi on the way to the ryokan, and the staff went to the ends of the earth to help locate it. It’s also a stone’s throw from the major Nara tourists spots. Can’t recommend a stay here enough.

Everything was wonderful, nothing bad to say at all.

The global service was excellent from the reception, the people at breakfast etc.... We had a very good experience globally. The breakfast was very good. We recommend this place also for its location.

The indication on the private Onsen was not really clear if this is busy or not. We would recommend to have a more clearer indication on the door "busy or not".

We absolutely loved this luxury ryokan in Nara. It was a perfect ending to our 2-week trip in Japan, especially after visiting the big cities prior to our stay at Sarusawaike Yoshida. The staff was so welcoming and helpful! We really enjoyed the private baths, the roof-top lounge, and the wonderful location of the hotel. Highly recommended!

Absolutely fantastic stay, loved everything. Staff were amazing, they went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and cared for. Excellent location, close to deer park and shops. Awesome private baths available too. Would definitely stay here again.

Nothing, everything was great!

Location

Lack of western food options for breakfast. We are at the end of a 25 day trip in Japan and were tired of the same Japanese food for breakfast each day. We cancelled our brkfst ordered (no refund offered) and went to Starbucks.

Location and staff and hospitality. Outstanding.

Our bathroom door didn’t open and close very well, and the heat was a bit hard to control. But those were minor issues.

The best surprise was the private onsen on the fourth floor. We also loved our room with a view on the lake and park.
