This place is fantastic value for money given its an ensuite private room with a bath in the centre of Sapporo with great staff service. The heating worked very well too. They also sometimes run day activities.

I found the room was not super clean eg dust in certain more hidden areas, nail clipping found on the carpet when I first came. Also the room is very small and the view from the room is of a car park.

Staff and volunteers are nice.

Got the worst spot upper bed right in front of the door where you can hear all the noises downstairs on a Saturday night. To take a shower I had to go downstairs bring my clothes towel and toiletries go through the partying people who stare at me, and since the shower is downstairs, the shoes i had to put them on remove them put them on again on your newly showered moist feet then remove again once in the room, not mentioning the tying and untying of shoes and what if you don't like to wear shoes without socks? The staff and volunteers are friendly but I think I'll try another place for the above reason. When I arrived I was told they changed the price of the bed from the time i booked it, few hundred yen isn't a big deal but idk that hostels can do that

Honestly everything was amazing. Service was great. Place was clean and the style of it was super cozy. Staff is super inviting and food/drink were great. Happily would stay again.

My curtain was slightly broken, that's really it though.

I like the location. It’s convenient and is near many bus stop.

The showers were downstairs and a little inconvenient as coming downstairs to take a shower. You have to carry everything all the way down and all the way up on the stairs.

The facilities were all very clean and in the few interactions we had with the staff they were friendly. There was lots of young travellers staying there and so it was nice to speak to and get to know some of them. It was also quite central to Sapporo and close to a train station.

We were staying in the Japanese style room which was very small. Enough space to have a bin and a clothes rack which was nice but with 3 beds in there it was a tight squeeze. We also found it slightly odd that after showering you had to walk past the bar area so if you shower at night you were walking past a lot of people on the way back to the room. Not a big deal though

Stayed in the twin room in the apartment next door. When I arrived, the lady at reception was so kind and carried my luggage up the stairs to my room for me. The room was immaculately clean and had everything I needed. The comforter kept me nice and warm, there was good heating and the shower had good water pressure. It is only 6 mins from the closest subway station and a just a few streets away from Odori and Susukino. Thank you for a lovely stay.

There were no issues at all. Only thing to note for less mobile travellers is you need to take a flight of stairs to the room - they let you know this when booking. The closest station Hosuisusukino, doesn’t really have lifts or escalators (that I could find anyway), so be prepared to carry your luggage up a few flights of stairs - I had no issues, but if you have multiple or heavy bags, you may face a problem. The bed was a little bit hard for my liking, but I still slept well each night. The room is also very tight - it was fine for me as 1 person, but 2 people is quite a squeeze.

The location is amazing, a short walk to the main hub of Susukino district, but far enough away it's not too loud. The lobby area has great food and drinks, and is a popular spot at night time. The staff were helpful, kind and happy to talk with you. I would recommend it if you want to meet new people, be in a good location and save some money!

Our room was in a different building from the lobby. It was a bit small and the bathroom was cold. Beds were not the most comfortable, but it is a nice hostel experience!

Excellent location and a nice, spacious and clean room. I would stay here again. It seems they own some apartments right next to the main building, so you may get what is basically a small apartment room, which is what I ended up with. There is English speaking staff.

The internet was a bit spotty at times, so you might not have reliable internet depending on what room you get.

I liked that the bunk beds were larger than usual. You get a twin size bed + a bit of extra storage/sitting room in your bunk, which I’ve never experienced before.

Keep in mind that the lodge is also a bar and restaurant on the first floor that is open until 2am. You will hear music and talking from downstairs if trying to sleep before then, but there are complementary earplugs.

The staff was very knowledgeable and had very good English. They even told us about fireworks happening that evening and where to see them. A/C was great! and good shower too. Which was really all we could ask for after the long flight :-)

The lodge does not have parking, there are many parking spaces around but they are small and many were full when we arrived (Friday evening).
