Great value hotel, breakfast was included in my price. The Onsen was fantastic with a sauna inside also. I stayed in the annex part of the hotel and found the recent renovation (with in five years) was well done. The annex also had three laundry areas for washing and drying and was free! Bonus!! Also from the lobby between 3pm & approximately 8pm was a free coffee machine... I believed i turned up at 2pm and was offered my room. I though i might need to sit for an hour to get the room. An hour or two before checkout, i extend and pay for another three hour (the maximum) stay. Bonus as checkout is 11am and the hotel phoned for a taxi at 2pm for me... Really impressed...

If i had to pick one thing, there was a no room wear (supplied pyjamas) policy, not to wear the room wear to breakfast... Ive stayed at meany hotels in Japan and this was the first time i had come across this!

The hotel has a little spa which is good for relaxation. It is also good location for walking to interesting places.

The Queen room was compact and had all the amenities. They have free laundries on every third floor in the Annex building, no coins required! You could scan a barcode to see how busy the breakfast room and onsen were. Breakfast was great in a nice spacious room on the second floor. Enough vegetarian options but you would struggle as a vegan. A mix of Western and Japanese foods so you would find something to eat. The location was average. A little away from the city centre but close enough to walk and Odori Park was just nearby. Lots of car rental shops nearby. The benefit of this location was that it was 1 min to a vegan whole foods restaurant called LOHAS that served incredible meals.

They had an eco-cleaning system in place so they would clean the room after 3 nights. They did leave fresh towels each day but I would have preferred a more frequent cleaning schedule, maybe every 2 nights.

Loved how clean the room was. Washroom was just big enough and had enough counter space to do everything. Shampoo and Conditioner smelled amazing. Staff were also very attentive and nice! Amenities are self-served at the lobby. Free coffee/tea at lobby as well.

The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were not very. Each bed came with 2 pillows but they were too soft and had no structure. I still slept fine since I was very tired. Also, you must specifically request for new bathmat towels/hand towels if you want them. Otherwise, they will just give you a clean bath towel and small towel everyday.

They have a big bath place that is super relaxing, and we can wear the in-door clothes and bring the towels they prepared for us in the room to the bath place.

The onsen was great! They have a laundry room, clean and decently big sized onsen with cold pool and sauna, and massage chairs free to use for guests which is great. The beds were massive and overall the room was huge for us two! Very conveniently located, can walk to mostly everything in Sapporo. Would stay again for sure!

Nothing, depending on where your room is, the laundry room is kind of a walk. Have to enter into another building via walk/passageway which is fine. Would recommend adding another laundry room in the primary building we stayed at.

It is close to Odori and Susukino. Lots of restaurants around the area and there's a combini at downstairs. Tanukikoji Shopping Street is just 2 blocks away. Sapporo Station is about 20-25 minutes walk. 10-15 minutes walk to subway line. Loved their amenities buffet. They also have free laundry facilities.

Below are just my suggestions/observations and don't mean i didn't like the existing hotel cleaning policy..... It would have been great if they have more stickers/ magnets for cleaning options, say take rubbish, replace towel only, do not make bed, or make up room as there is only one option which is do no disturb. You also need to put your used towels in a bag and hang them on your door knob. You need to ring the reception to organise cleaning/taking of rubbish. Spa is not well maintained though. Water on the hot pool becomes dirty at night.

The breakfast was ok. We stayed for 5 nights and there were no variation with the breakfast but everything tastes good. They don't clean your room everyday which is no big deal cause they will always give you fresh towels everyday. The bed was comfortable. The rooms were a bit small but no surprise there because hotels in japan are more on the smaller side. We were still able to pack and unpack comfortably. The wifi is fast and there is no problem with the connections. Also I love the fact that they have everything you need.

The receptionists do not speak english so it was a little hard to communicate with them. We waited for 30 minutes before we can go to our room because at 3:00 pm they were still cleaning our rooms. Also, they did not thoroughly clean the bathroom, cause when I removed the stopper in the bathtub there were noodles.

Great location: 20 mins from Sapporo station, 15 mins from the Clock Tower and park, 3 mins round the corner from the western-most end of Tanukikoji shopping street. Public bath has showers, warm and cold pools, a sauna, and an English guide on how to use them. Shampoo and moisturiser are also provided. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast options are extensive with miso, rice, but also a salad bar and müsli.

The main building and annex are accessed only by stairs, which makes dragging luggage and presumably also wheelchair access difficult.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Tenza; for the price I paid this hotel exceeded my expectations. I arrived early morning and the reception staff was kind enough to store my luggage for the day. My room was colourful and spacious and had enough space for my belongings; the bathroom was an appropriate size as well and it had a bathtub. All amenities were provided including daily clean towels, eco-friendly water bottles, slippers and PJs. Cleanliness was impeccable. My favourite part of the hotel was the sento and sauna on the top floor; after walking all day in the cold, it felt amazing to soak in hot water and then relax on the massage chairs. Beware that tattoos are not allowed in public bath. Wifi was strong and worked adequately. I did not try breakfast. Coin laundry is available on the spa level. The hotel is located 15 minutes walk from Sapporo main station (you can walk underground in the shopping area) and is surrounded by restaurants and convenience stores. Tram stop is 2 blocks away.
