The location near Akihabara is fantastic! The beds were also very comfy if you're used to sleeping on futons ;)
The rooms are very tight with not much room for luggage.

The sleeping on futons was very comfortable. The shared bathrooms and toilets are clean.
With a regret I must say that I did not like our stay in Jing House Ryokan and would not recommend it unless you travel with a backpack for a very short stay and you do not mind noises made by other guests coming in the middle of the night. We knew it would be a ryokan with shared bathroom (all very clean by the way), fact is that the futons are really comfortable, but I could never expect that someone offers an option of 5m2 room for two persons! My bad I did not notice that before arrival and the description is very misleading. Saying that there is a a fridge or a desk in every room is misleading as well as it is in the shared space, not in the room. The room was so extremely small that we couldn't even walk into the room with two suitcases, one person needed to wait in the corridor and let the other one to unpack the essential things and hide the suitacases under the bed. Dressing up in the morning was not possible with two people standing at the same time as two futons used all the space available except for maybe 0,5m2 left. Mind extremely narrow stairs in the building, it is a huge challenge, we could barely bring our luggage up on those stairs, I cannot even imagine people with the stroller (could not see any warning in the description) The location is also not so perfect and as said, distance to metro station is up to 1km, not 600m We never met anyone from the staff, so I cannot say anything about this experience. For us it was self-checked in and out with the instruction what we are not allowed to do in the place. Sorry to say but I was not happy with this stay. I stayed in two other places in Japan during the same visit (Kyoto and Tokyo) and both hotels were incomparable to this one. It should be corrected in the description and marked how small the rooms are.
