The hotel is within short walking distance to the subway and JR trains, with a lot of eateries along the way. The convenience stores Family Mart and 7 Eleven within 50 metres are great for last minute hunger pangs and stock up, and purchase of electrical and personal effects. The air conditioning and heater are solid and the WiFi is very strong and fast. The hotel will store your luggage if you arrive in the morning so that you can spend a good day before checking in at the end of the day. Backpacks with laptops or cameras will be kept in the office for safety. You can also store your luggage after you checked out and collect in the afternoon. Coffee is free all day long and your towels and free to use pyjamas can be changed daily if you wish to. The surrounding shopping malls and many shops are more than sufficient if you do not intend to travel down to central or the shopping district. The hotel is family friendly and the showers are great. Would recommend this hotel for singles or couples or groups. The good quality mattresses will give one a good night sleep.

The coffee tastes terrible and perhaps the coffee beans can be reviewed. There should be a hotel sign board at the side wall of the hotel so that guests can see the sign clearly as they walk along the road after exiting the train stations.

For me as the first time traveler who visit Japan this hotel is one of the best options for stay, closed to convenient store, all the staff is really helpful. Great palace, great services.

Overall my experience is great. There is problem with the dry machine, I don’t know the machine is only half dry or it should be completely dry bcs there is no option on the machine to set it, and my laundry not dry even already 40 mins set.

The Tourist Hotel & Cafe in Akihabara is an amazing hotel, around 5 minutes walk from Akiba Station. It's a modern hotel with a really cozy feel but it's just out of the hustle and bustle enough to feel a bit 'private'. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the bottled water and pajamas are a nice touch. It's close enough that you can easily walk into Akihabara, and the close proximity to the Yamanote Line makes this hotel a good choice as a base before getting around Tokyo :)

The only thing I DON'T like about this hotel (and this is being incredibly picky) is the breakfast - you only get the choice of a western breakfast or traditional Japanese breakfast, and it's a pre-made breakfast. The actual food is good and the quality is good but if you're wanting a buffet style each morning, this is something to consider.

Hotel was walking distance to Akihabara Sta. Family mart and 7E, Indonesian restaurant, kebab stalls are nearby. Laundromat on 2nd floor of hotel helps a lot. Do note most washer is limited to 5kg. The cafe offers free coffee to in house guest (I think) but I did not make use of the opportunity. Receptionist helped me to book a taxi when I had to check out early morning at 6am. We booked a twin room with extra bed for 3 pax. The mattresses were on tatami platform which we enjoyed with a view on 14th floor. It was pure luck we got this room 5 months before our trip as it was previously sold out! I snapped it up once I saw there's room available! Staying in akihabara was perfect choice as it was near to ginza, ueno etc. We took cab from hotel to Keisei Ueno station cost about 1300 yen and then skyliner to Narita for departure. Hence it was worthwhile to me with 4 luggages.

My few gripes about our room? 1. Limited place to hang our clothes as it was winter season, the jackets took up space we couldn't hang other clothes that was not dried properly from dryer. 2. Please install a small wardrobe to store our clothes. 3. Housekeeping was done on 2 days of our 8 night stay. However only first day was our mineral water replenished. Our bed sheet was also not changed as we noticed the same stain on it. Toilet paper was also not changed on 2nd day of cleaning. 4. Only 1 very small bin in bathroom. 5. The bin in our room was not cleared daily. I saw other guests putting out bags of rubbish and that small bin every morning outside their doors so we did same.

Clean hotel, friendly English speaking staff and easy check in process. The room is clean will well thought out amenities like kettle. The staff are very kind and helped retain one of our bags since we were returning a week later. They have an option to weigh your baggage at front desk. If you are able to book rook with breakfast, do opt for it. It is difficult to find places in Tokyo/ Japan with warm continental breakfast in mornings. The breakfast was lovely. The all day coffee is also a great option. If you bring takeaway you can eat at their collaboration/ coffee space, as your room is too small to have a meal without getting messy. Centrally located to Akhibhara station ( 500m) and Asakusabasi station (12 min walk) There is a family mart nearby for all your basic needs,. including a good cold sandwich selection Tip : At the Family Mart, you can also courier luggage using the Takkyubin service between cities. We used it for Tokyo to Kyoto and back. Worth the ~2500 yen per medium size trolley. It's a hassle to travel with trolleys in the subway / trains. Look up online on how to avail it and fill the form. Our best investment in Japan.

The rooms are compact. So if you have more than two trolleys it is difficult to unpack! A bigger dustbin in the bathroom would be appreciated and sanitary bags would be a welcome add.

Room was clean and relatively spacious for a hotel in Tokyo. It had everything you would expect, including very comfortable pajamas. Hotel had a small laundromat which was handy. We stayed in interconnecting rooms, which was perfect for our family with 2 small children. Neighbourhood was nice with a couple of nice restaurants nearby, convenience stores practically on their doorstep and a big supermarket a 10 minute walk away. Akihabara proper was also a 10 minute walk away and was more than enough for us for a 4 night stay for dinners and shopping. Akihabara's transport system was great to get anywhere in Tokyo easily.

One thing to highlight that other guests have mentioned is that they clean your room every 3 days. They will change out towels and clear out the bins if you leave it outside. Another thing is that they did not have space to accommodate us for breakfast as we didn't realise we had to book this ahead of time.

We love their coffee. It was available to us the whole day (limited to 3 cups per person). The amenities are readily available besides the elevator for our top-up. The staff are English-speaking and friendly. Family Mart is just across the street. The room was really clean and organised. For us, we need not use the traveller plug as there were USB sockets for each bed.

Although train station is not far from hotel. It is still a bit of walking distance to train station. As we are shopping, it is tiring to carry our purchase and walk back to the hotel.

Considering hotels in Tokyo are generally smaller; I love their design to maximize space, allowing you to put luggage at the compartment below the bed - imagine the space of 1 large luggage (30") per bed which you can slot underneath. Very clean space; nice white sheets and free pajamas. Fully functional bathroom and shower - collect amenities at the lobby. I did not try their breakfast but it will be charged to the room and paid only during check-out. They do allow you to have your breakfast (we bought from the Family Mart just across the street) at the available coffee tables at lobby. Staff will help to store your luggage before check-in time and after check-out - this is a positive. A little walk to the station (nearest is 5 mins for Hibiya; while main JR Akihabara is around 10 mins away). Quiet neighbourhood away from the buzz - but Electric Town is on the opposite.

Just the fridge which was not cold enough to store my ice cream! Not complaining but I guess the fridge is good enough for cold drinks.

The room is very clean and beds are comfortable.

The location is a bit further away from the subway station if you carry a luggage with you.

Although the room is small, it had all the necessary items that you need in a hotel.

The room was not clean enough. There was lot of dusts in the vent in the shower room and hair was found on the sink in the toilet.
