Practical and nice hotel near the Uguisudani JR train station in Tokyo. Perfect hotel for a couple of nights in the city. Staying in a relatively quiet area after all the hustle and bustle in Tokyo is nice. The room is small but very comfortable and clean. The lunch in the restaurant was tasty as well.
The only hotel without onsen we stayed in japan, so that was maybe a small disappointment. It would have been relaxing after a busy Tokyo day. On the other hand, Tokyo has so much to offer that you don’t really have time for the onsen… On the checkout day the hotel had their maintenance day, so we couldn’t leave our baggage. That was a bit unpractical for our final day in Japan. It would have been kind to become a small refund of present for that inconvenience…

I highly recommend this hotel for any solo traveller. The compact room was perfect for 1 person with up to 2 medium luggage. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Various drinks are available at the vending machine. I was able to do laundry which only took 1.5 hours total washing and drying. Detergent was available for purchase at the reception. I enjoyed having my coffee or tea lattes at their cafe every morning before heading out. Uguisudani station and Iriya station were both very accessible. I would love to stay here again next time.
My only concern was the curtains. I would appreciate blackout curtains to keep the sun out early.

The location was outstanding easy access to a train station and quiet enough that you can sleep and not feel overwhelmed by the endless crowds in other tokyo areas. Staff were friendly and the coffee was good. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The price was excellent. All in all would stay here again.
The room was small and there was very little room for luggage. The bathroom was tiny. Breakfast options were fairly limited and quite pricey for what was on offer still if you want a western kind of breakfast and the convenience of eating at the hotel go for it. Sometimes it is tricky getting the lifts especially in the morning when people are wanting to check out all at once. A bit of patience is needed.

Fantastic location very close to a JR station and lots of convenience stores and little restaurants. From the hotel you can take a nice stroll through Ueno park to reach Ueno station. The hotel was very easy to find using the instructions on their website and check-in was an easy process. The rooms were very comfortable and cozy and, although small like most hotels in Japan, it was spacious enough for two people with two big suitcases (I was expecting much smaller based on other reviews). Amenities were provided almost to a fault- there were days when we said we didn't need our room cleaned and returned to find a bag of fresh towels and toiletries in the evening. We didn't use the restaurant downstairs but it were always people making use of it. Bathroom was a little cramped but it had everything required, and the shower was great! Very happy with this hotel and would happily stay here again.
It was a bit awkward receiving lots of new towels and toiletries when we didn't need them, it seemed a bit wasteful. The beds are quite low down which we liked but this may be a problem for people with mobility problems.

The hotel is conveniently located in the Ueno area, with close proximity to the train station and multiple bus stops. It offers excellent connectivity to Ginza and the Sky Tree area. However, the room, especially the toilet, is on the smaller side. The limited space makes it a bit challenging to wash hands comfortably. Despite this, the room is cozy and comfortable, providing a great view of the Sky Tree. The breakfast is well-organized, offering a fixed main meal option (rice or toast). Guests can customize their meal with three condiments of their choice and one sauce. Additionally, there's a choice of one juice and one hot drink.
The bathroom is very small.

We loved the hotel! It is small but confortable and modern. Everything was clean and personal super friendly. The breakfast is yummy and can adapt to either japanese or western tastes. Location is great if yoy want to be near the most adult and traditional side of the city (it is just q couple of blocks away from the JR station). We had an amazing time.
We dont have anything bad to say about the hotel. The only inconvenience we had was at paying for the reservation. We chosw paying at the hotel and they tried 3 of our credit cards but none of them worked so we had to pay cash (yens because they do not accept usd). The cards worked just fine in other places.

I stayed in a private room and it was probably the best of all the rooms I have stayed before! I specially loved the illumination, there are three different ones (a general one, one on top of the bed and other one at the bottom) and they gave a super special atmosphere to the room! You can also adjust the intensity of the lamp near the bed, so it is perfect for reading or working at night. Also, special mention to the wonderful cleaning staff who gave me extra towels everyday! Even though I didn't ask for cleanup they left a bag hung on my door with new towels everyday!! 🙏 Otsukaresamadesu!!
The sink and faucet are pretty small

Everything. The location was a nice change for me. It was a quick train ride to the busier areas. The local JR station was across the road which made it easy to come and go at short notice. The hotel has a cafe/bar when you walk in and an area where you can sit and enjoy reading/working/meeting friends. The reception is upstairs and is open plan, casual but staff are really friendly and the place just has an overall good vibe. The room was a futon style bed and I immediately felt comfortable. I found the breakfast menu process (which I had paid) to be very strange at first but it was actually the healthiest breakfast I had. It was nice to sit out the front with a drink and people watch.
It would be great if the breakfast process/food on offer could be clarified in a simple poster before reaching the counter- just to save confusion for both people.

Super convenient location a block back from JR Uguisudani station on the Yamanote loop, and close to a cluster of several great cheap restaurants and izakaya. The compact double room, although quite small, had a beautiful chic modern design and felt soothing and spacious (the bed is a very comfortable and quality futon style), and was surprisingly quiet given the hotel overlooks a main road. The breakfast is a real highlight, where you can ask the staff to assemble your choice of vegetables and protein on either su-meshi (sushi rice) or bread. Kaori-san at reception was very friendly and helpful as well. Would love to stay again.
Everything was great and exactly what I needed for my trip. Note that the hotel doesn't have any ofuro (communal bath) facilities though, and the in-room bathroom is small, as is typical for most Japanese city hotels. If you're a couple, you'll need to book something bigger than a compact double room.

This hotel is located in Taito, pretty far from the main neighborhoods of Tokyo. Its located in a main street but beside of that the room has a nice isolation so you could not ear anything. The rooms have a nice size, but the batroom are the pre-fabricated ones, so, dont expect a big one. The hotel as a bar and restaurant that is nice for breakfast and dinner if you dont feel like exploring the surroundings. The staff is very gently. Its very close to a bus station and two subway stations. One of them is the Yamanote line! I beleive there was a 7-11 ou family mark near by too.
