Richmond Hotel Tokyo Mejiro

Location was excellent. A lot of nearby hole in the wall restaurants and bars for a night cap. It was also very near the train station.

The room was very small. Clean, but difficult to move around for international travelers with huge luggage.

Great hotel and amazing location. Very close to Shinjuku, Shibuya and Ikebukuro via the JR Yamanote line. It was nice to return to Mejiro at the end of the day as it's more peaceful. Loved the big bath in our washroom. The pillows were perfect I wish I had them at my home. Room was also really big compared to usual Tokyo size rooms. The hotel staff was amazing, the kind lady at the counter in the morning had such nice energy and we were able to communicate very well using Google Translate and her translator device (due to my lack of Japanese). They were also so kind and allowed us to store our bag with them for a week. Thank you for everything.

Nothing - I liked everything

Location close to JR Mejiro in 2 min and close to all convienient stores and eating places. I chose a room with separate bathroom and toilet which are more roomy and feel compatible to stay for a week. Amenities and coffee and tea packets are available at the front desk.

A little bit hot at room. It was not easy to control a room temperature. The information maps are available but these are not obvious to find. If the front desk had told us when we checked in that would have been very useful. That's a shame that we found these info on the last day.

superb location, it’s on the Yamanote Line (green JR line) which is in the same subway line as Shibuya, Yoyogi, Ikebukuro, Ueno and Harajuku. the hotel is also 2 minutes walk away from Mejiro Station and it’s on the same side so there’s no need to cross the street. there are lots of convenience stores, restaurants, massage places and shops nearby. there’s also a supermarket few blocks away. staff were really kind, helpful and friendly. the wifi was really good too - both in the lobby and the hotel room. you can chose whether you want no cleaning, eco cleaning or full clean service everyday. but they definitely make sure to clean your room every 3 days. they have a laundry area in the basement which was very convenient for us. shampoo, conditioner, body wash and many more are all provided as well as night wear. you can ask for a new pair of nightwear every night so no need to bring pyjamas. overall, we really had an amazing stay at this hotel and will definitely stay again when we visit Tokyo!

it’s not a big deal but would appreciate if I didn’t have to pay to watch some movies or youtube on the tv

The location is near to JR Mejiro station. It’s not super busy area but easy to go to Shinjuku (just 3 stations). There are a police station, park and Starbucks next to the JR station. Breakfast is super tasty and healthy (Café Gusto). The room is super clean. We really enjoy and do recommend this hotel.

One queen bed is maybe too small for 2 people.

We like the location - walking distance from the train station, which is a smaller one comparing to other major stations in Tokyo. We found actually that's safer and easier for us to commute for shopping everyday in this trip. The convenience shops next to the hotel can satisfy all daily needs.

We don't have anything particularly dislike. Our stay was pleasant. It's not in a major commercial center - but that's what we prefer. The room size is acceptable - could be tight to someone. If you book, book higher floors with windows and bigger size rooms.

The room is spacious and clean. Price is very reasonable for such good accommodation. Location is very strategic, within walking distance from Mejiro Station. Through Mejiro Station, you can take Yamanote Line which basically go to some strategic spots for tourists. Overall we are glad to choose Richmond Hotel Mejiro. Will recommend it to friends who's travelling to Japan ;)

Maybe the pillow, because we're used to fluffy pillow. But bed and duvet are very comfortable so we can sleep well.

We spent 6 weeks in Japan and many many hotels. This was the BEST hotel to end our trip on!! The room is spacious and the mattress is finally not hard like a rock! They even gave a memory foam pillow. I was so happy to finally not have a sore neck on my holiday!

The fridge is not cold enough. And it doesn't have a freezer compartment. The laundry made our clothes smell really bad. We had to wash it again at the laundromat right next door.

The hotel room was clean, spacious, and quiet. The upstairs cafe had breakfast choices A-E. The neighborhood does not have any of the major Tokyo attractions, but the Yamanote line is just a short 3-minute walk away. Ikebukuro is one stop away, and Harajuku is just a 15-minute train ride. Lawson and 7-11 are next to the station, and Family Mart is down the street. We would definitely stay here again.

The location is awesome, right next to the drugstore where you can get all the cosmetics and snacks. The mejiro station has only one exit gate, so it's impossible to get lost. The neighborhood is quiet, safe and clean. You can even walk to Ikebukuro. The room is more spacious than many other hotels with the same price. Breakfast is served by robot and he's cute. There're also coin washing machine in the hotel , and another laundry right next to the hotel.
