Jordan Tower Hotel

our stay here was excellent. the rooms were clean and the bathroom had the best shower on our trip so far (previously we were in Egypt). for those who complain about the noise, we had zero issues. one cannot expect to have no noise and also an excellent location. it was also far quieter than both of our stays in Egypt. they cleaned our room which I was not expecting and that was a nice touch. the breakfast was also unreal. overall we would 100% stay here again.

Checkout time is 10 am which is a little aggressive in my opinion. typically we see 11 or 12. we also flew into Amman via Luxor and our Luxor to Cairo flight was delayed by over 3 hours this making us miss our connection from Cairo to Amman so we had to fly the next morning. we booked an airport pickup but because the airports in Egypt don’t have wifi I wasn’t able to communicate that. we were charged for 3 nights still (even though we missed the first although i feel this is fair and I expected to pay for the missed night) but also we were charged for 2 airport pickups which I wasn’t expecting so that was a little disappointing. also I think you can get a taxi from the airport for 15 JD compared to the hotel rate of 27 JD.

The staff were super helpful with any queries and always very friendly. We got exactly what we expected for what we paid. The tours were enjoyable and sharing them with people from the hotel was also nice as they were like minded travellers. The location is perfect as you are a two minute walk from the amphitheatre, and also very close to the Citadel and downtown. As a 21 year old travelling with my girlfriend I would highly rate the safety of the area and the opportunities to use this Hotel as a hub for day trips.

The additional costs for tours could have been clearer. For example, the Dead Sea drip was 25JOD each but there is a further cost of 25JOD for the hotel we used to change and eat in, the trip also stops at the river Jordan where you can pay 12JOD to see Jesus' Baptism Site.

staff are extremely helpful and courteous. offered to help order food to the hotel for dinner. held our bags and allowed us to shower late afternoon after checkout. very responsive to messages. offered to book taxi at JOD25, which is reasonable compared to others especially concerning the vehicle was all leather and very clean. another taxi we had used for a short trip within Amman offered for 15 JOD, but we had already paid. and we were not disappointed with the service. for the price this was a good deal with the impeccable service and very good breakfast. they also provided towels and soap, which was unexpected but nice! water was hot, I assume due to the sun heating it all day.

that said, they should not advertise cable/tv when the devices are trashy, disconnected, and the power cables for the tv do not work. my advice is to remove this feature entirely (who watches “tv” any more?) And invest in high speed internet since people have their own devices already. the internet worked but was a bit slow.

This was my second stay at the Jordan Tower Hotel while in Amman. The location is excellent. It is near everything - downtown, shopping, restaurants, and is less then a 5 minute walk from the Roman Theatre. The staff is very helpful! The manager, Jehan arranged all my transportation around the country - he was an excellent communicator; Moath at reception recommended restaurants, gave directions, and was wonderful to talk to. The other man at reception helped me look for my missing contact lens - he found it! And, the housekeeper even helped to carry my bags. Breakfast was enormous that I didn't eat until late afternoon. I would definitely stay here again!

I liked everything.

This hotel is in the very centre od Amman, which is very cool. There was a very nice breakfast and we would recommend the extra cost. You need to be careful to park your car at nearby parking lot as in no time you get a ticket and it is not exactly cheap. We would highly recommend guided tour, which is offered by hotel. He took us literally everywhere important in the walking distance (took him almost 2 hours), share bits and bobs from history and culture, was happy to answer our more or less silly questions and often stopped to talk with some friends at the market, who then let us try some of their products before deciding to buy. It was one big maze from markets and narrow streets and we were sometimes not sure, whether we can go back and find the place on our own later on (but we did) – like the little food court, where we got the best bread most likely in whole Jordan. Even our kids were thrilled (and they are not much of walkers). It left us with better understanding of how things work in Jordan and was a big part of the feeling we carried home … that we should go back some day soon. The location is just perfect, all attractions and places to visit are really close. At the same time for the same principle of being close to everything, the place could be a little noisy for some people. The staff were great and so helpful, they helped me to get a private tour to some close by attractions and as well to hire a fair an safe taxi to bring me to Petra, the place is a little old but really clean and breakfast was great. I totally recommend this place if you are traveling solo and you like to be close to the action.

Bad WiFi reception in the upper floor and in the room. It can be a little noisy because you are too close to the main avenues.

Mr. Jehad made our visit to Jordan spectacular. He endlessly coordinated transportation and helped us refine and tailor our travel all across the country. And we changed our plans daily to better capture the experience we desired. The hotel is modest but welcoming. It would not be where I would take my wife but it was perfect for an adventure with my adult children. Mr. Jehad and his drivers got us the best deals for shopping and experiences. Our trip was the opposite of a ‘package.’ We did our homework and Mr. Jehad and the team did the rest to meet our intent. For example, we asked for him to coordinate a visit to Wadi Rum. He sent us to the Zeina Luxury Desert Lodge. Abdullah and his family gave us the relaxed, sufficiently adventitious and comfortable day exploring the area and the Bedouin culture. The trip is not over - we can’t wait for the rest!

You get what more than what you pay for. The hotel is very affordable and located in the hustle and bustle of ‘the souk.’

Perfect location, 2 mins walk to amphitheatre. Doesn’t look much from outside but inside is clean, simple but everything you need for a night in Amman. Staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast was lovely & lots of it. Room was good size, comfy beds, fab shower room & good airy con. (Few stairs, in case you can’t do stairs)

Was not that I didn’t like it, I did as made me feel part of the city, it’s right on a fairly busy intersection so there is car noise and Amman never sleeps. But it’s all part of the experience

Jordan Tower is situated very central near the souks in town, the Roman Theatre across the road and the Citadel a short walk up the hill. A lovely breakfast was served every morning. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly and a walking tour to explore the area is easily set up. A very nice warm shower also, which I very much appreciated after the cold weather outside.

The room I stayed in had 2 windows that couldn't close. In winter this means the cold coming in, but also the noise of the traffic around the hotel. With an extra blanket and a comfortable bed it was comfortable enough for me to sleep.

The location is wonderful since you can walk to the main attractions of Amman (citadel, Rainbow Street) in fact the hotel is in the centre of Downtown (not the most beautiful area if the city nor the quietest to tell you the truth but interesting anyway).The breakfast is very good and the client can choose among 3 different types of meals. Tareq at the reception has been most useful and kind. Moreover the hotel organises different excursions to the Dead Sea, Petra, the desert castels and other Jordan highlights so it's also perfect for travellers who don't have a car.
