Shams Alweibdeh Hotel Apartments is highly recommended! The rooms are good, the pool is nice, but what really stands out is the staff. Well done Abu Ahmed and all others for making us feel very welcome and at home. Another true strength of the Shams is its location. Weibdeh is a really nice, relatively quiet and uncrowded neighbourhood, while it has some excellent cafe's and restaurants such as the Maestro, the Rumi Cafe, and Tallett (Arabian Breakfast). Some further recommendations: Wild Jordan for lunch and Shams El Balad for dinner. And make sure your Uber app works, very handy in Amman :-). Y&M

The hotel is in a perfect location, where there are a lot of restaurants and necessary shops. The neighborhood is also a great one, (mostly a residential area), and therefore, the street noise is almost nil. The apartment that we booked was quite spacious and comfortable. The apartment is also well equipped with necessary items, The reception is manned 24 hours a day, and therefore, any questions can be answered quickly. The place has a nice restaurant on its fourth floor and the chef makes delicious food indeed. We tried only breakfast, and it was tasty and sumptuous. The chef is also a very nice person and listens to your needs and makes the food accordingly. The best part about this hotel is the people. Almost everyone we encountered there was super nice. Special words of mention should go to Nabil Shams (who is either a partner or owner of the place) and Mahmoud. They answer calls from the room literally 24 hours a day and address any issues and needs. They always greet the guests every time one walks into the hotel with absolute warmth and friendliness.

If you ever travel for the first time to Amman, make sure you stay at the Shams Alweibdeh Hotel. Nabil and his team are super welcoming, do everything with a big smile, he is so kind and open for a chat and we got a free room upgrade. It was really nice to relax after a hectic drive during Eid al-Fitr in Amman. The rooms were clean and nice, comfortable beds. The breakfast on the roof terrace is really amazing! Lovely staff. They also have a indoor parking garage with plenty of space (ask with your booking). Communication is easy via Booking or Whatsapp. Highly recommend!

This place really exceeded my expectations. It's in a perfect location in a very nice neighborhood in Amman. Surrounded with services, local coffeshops and restaurants makes it also a good destination to try a variety of the Jordanian Food. In 20 min walk down the hill you can go straight in the middle of downtown Amman. The staff were very nice and kind even before I arrived, they did text and made sure to meet all the requests made during reservation. Also during my stay they were excellent local guides for information to go around Amman. In the end of my stay they offered to bring me to the airport at the same rate of the local Taxi which was very convenient for me. Everyone I met were very nice, special thanks to Mr. Nabil, Mr. Mahmoud from management that were of a great help to me during my stay and also the kind man Mr. Maher from housekeeping who did a great job to ensure a calm and nice stay. The room is spacious given the price, making it a a good value for money. The hotel is around 10 minutes walking from the busy area of Alweibdeh, so it's quiet very calm to stay there. Heating was very good during my stay in winter. Overall it was a very good experience and would recommend it.

The staff was really helpful and available - The hotel is very well located, walking distance from good restaurants and cafes. The small pool very refreshing and clean. Room set up ideal with kitchnette and separate sitting area, especially for multiple days.

My room was close to the mosque so I was hearing the night prayers but I know i could have asked to move...Breakfast missed fresh foods like fruit and yogurt and good coffee with non-dairy milks (oat, soya, etc)

The Breakfast was great with chef in attendance producing lovely omelettes and pancakes on request. The Desk staff were at our service arranging day tour packages for us on the spot and giving us practical advice to make our stay a pleasure. The property is well maintained and the service was of higher quality than we expected, our hotel room was in fact an apartment with cooking facilities if we wanted to use them, a good fridge, satellite tv and all that was needed. The double glazed windows ensured a peaceful night’s sleep. There’s a pool on site and outside areas to take advantage of. It’s a 2 jod cab ride from the Citadel and the Roman theatre and there are quality restaurants and take aways within walking distance. The area is quality residential with decent sidewalks and quirky shops here and there. There’s a bottle shop close by and a trendy restaurant just across the road serves a huge menu at very reasonable prices with local and imported wine, beer and spirits served. The potato guy at the top of the street makes the best French fries ever which are called crinkly fingers. Try them with the pizzas from the guy further up the street that charges 2 jod for a 4 slice masterpiece. This was an outstanding stay in the capital for us and we will always remember Shams as a home away from home.

I had a really nice time here. The room was clean and the cleaner for the second floor was very considerate and respectful. I met Khalid and Mahmoud in the reception and they were very helpful and kind with anything I needed.

No egregious faults. The Wifi could be better, It is slow at times and I preferred using my mobile data. Also a small soap dish in the shower for the soaps could not hurt.

Great location and the staff was wonderful- answering tons of questions, providing restaurant recommendations, and generally making sure we were sorted throughout our stay. Our apartment was roomy and the shower, while small, had good water pressure and an ample supply of hot water for 3 showers. We regrettably did not take advantage of the pool, but it looked clean as did the entire pool area. The onsite garage was free, accessible 24/7 and greatly appreciated.

Hardly a negative as the breakfast spread was broad and plentiful, however it was the same everyday. We would have preferred more variety from day to day.
