Breakfast was excellent. The room was kept very clean. The location was excellent for restaurants, shops etc. the view of the old harbour was beautiful. The staff were exceptionally helpful in helping with bus timetables etc. to keeping our luggage until it was time to fly home and allowing us to sit in the hotel lounge area.

The room was smaller than expected for a superior sea view. The bathroom could have benefited from an update. The water from the bath drain after a shower came up into the main bathroom floor so had to always mop up following our showers and there was a lot of noise from the taps and running water whenever they were used. The balcony, although the view was beautiful, was very small and never got the benefit of sunshine at any time in the day although the weather was gorgeous and consequently we never wanted to sit out there.

We stayed here three different times over two weeks. Each time we had a different room. Twice we had renovated rooms; however, the un-renovated room was just as nice. Good location and restaurant on the roof was great and prices were not high.

We asked for a take-away breakfast and which was provided but included bananas that had been in the refrigerator and not edible. Also, they provided two ham and cheese sandwiches on dry stale bread. Let's just say we were very disappointed with the take-away breakfast. The normal hotel breakfast was fantastic!

Lato Boutique Hotel was the perfect location for our two night stop-over in Heraklion. It is walking distance from the museum, many very nice restaurants and shops. The accommodations were very nice. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. It was about a fifteen minute drive to Knossos Palace and just a short distance from the port. We especially enjoyed the rooftop bar and restaurant. The view is gorgeous and the cocktails and food were fabulous. I would highly recommend Lato Boutique Hotel to other travelers.

There is lots to love about the Lato Boutique hotel. Firstly, the location across from the port is great. If you arrive by ferry as we did, you can walk across. Secondly, the view of the harbour and the Venetian Castle is fabulous. Our room was large and well appointed with the best mattress and pillows we have found in Greece. The food in the rooftop restaurant was both outstanding and reasonably priced, and the breakfast provided was amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful.i would definitely stay here again.

Location was great and staff were excellent. Breakfast had a good variety. Trouble with the internet was quickly solved by staff. Herbal garden restaurant was excellent fir food and service - plus great views!

Water provided only on the first day. No face washers. No glasses for either water or wine.

Lovely hotel down by the port. Beautiful views, quiet. Nice outside area to eat and have a beer, and enjoy the sights. Shuttle service between the hotel and the airport sold us on this hotel.

Could not walk to many places. We were in airport transit, and it was so perfect for this. The only thing I didn’t like was the bus. We Waited at least 15 minutes inside it with a lot of people, without the air conditioning on. It was so hot that I got sick from the stale hot air.

The hotel charged us a city tax even though it was included in the price on booking.com. We booked a twin and got one with one bed and one sheet. To our disappointment, breakfast is not served on the terrace with a view of the sea. But no one promised that, but dear owners - just think aboud it ;)

The location is near the port, and it only takes us a few minutes to walk to there. It's also easy to find restaurants near the port. Besides, the breakfast in the hotel is good.

The only concern is that I was expecting the 'family suites' to have at least a small living room or entrance space, but it's actually one double-bed room combined with an extra small bedroom. And the bed is just facing the bathroom, which is a bit annoying.

At first approach to the lobby one may not understand how great the location is—a couple blocks walk to the main pedestrian street. The breakfast was excellent—fresh, good variety, a great start to the day in a very large area of the main floor. Upon early arrival, we were invited to have a complimentary coffee/tea/cappuccino and plate of coffee-cakes which we took in the adjacent lounge from Mary the server—so nice and appreciated after the trip from the mainland. No problem with luggage storage. The front desk staff were functional and attentive. The rooftop restaurant is great for a restful drink with a great view of the Venetian Fortress right out front. We paid extra for a sea view and a balcony—more pleasant. This boutique hotel has arranged free parking not far from the hotel, at the port, however, for anyone with mobility issues there are steps to climb from the port level to the hotel’s entrance on an upper street. There are traffic lights to cross the busy intersection at the port parking.

Not much to complain about, the room size was small, however its a city boutique hotel. We were in the property with the lobby—looks like another Lato property across the small side street of the property address.

Staff in this hotel were exceptionally helpful. We stayed at this hotel to be near the ferry port and they arranged everything to ensure we made it to the ferry on time including an early breakfast. Unfortunately the ferry had to return to port and my wife was very ill on the abandoned crossing. We went back to the hotel and staff were very helpful in allowing us to recover and then book new accommodation before we moved on. We must give all the staff top marks
