To be honest, I was a bit concerned after reviewing the comments on this hotel! However, I was positively surprised overall. The staff is not the most enthusiastic I encountered but the check in and check out were super quick which is appreciable. Be careful $250 will be taken as a deposit.. Overall, the studio was nice, clean and with a nice view despite being on the second floor. The bathroom was modern. The size of the studio was quite nice as well, with enough space for the suitcases. For me the price for the quality is quite good even if it’s still expensive per night. If you want to spend 2 nights near the beach and enjoy, it’ll be perfect.

I’d have appreciated having a small kitchen with a sink for instance, and shower gel in the bathroom. The major issue was the noise coming from the bar downstairs. If you facing the other side or if you are not in bed before 11pm it should be fine, otherwise it’s a bit annoying. On top of that the window was not closing very well..

Excellent location, right at the beach. Great bars and dining places right around the corner. The room was minimalistic but modern, plus equipped with everything we needed. The staff is very pleasant and helped us out when our car was towed. There is no parking at the hotel however their recomended parking lot is just a few minutes walk away and the price of it is very decent.

I am all about being eco friendly - not changing towels and bedding every day - cool wil us. However we wished that the floor in the room was swept daily. Or a broom was left in the room. The floor quickly got sandy and been like this until the end of our stay.

I enjoyed my stay,. Though it rained the majority of the time I was there, I had amazing views of the beach and my room was very comfortable. I did not have a car so I didn't have to worry about parking. Walking distance to CVS and great restaurants down Rose Ave. You really don't need a car if you plan to stay in the area. I took a Lyft to the airport and it was reasonable. Staff upon check in was friendly and helpful.

Wish they had more snack options on site.

Location is really great. Front of the ocean. Sea view from all the rooms. Modern interior. Tidy.

Worst thing- no air conditioner in the standard rooms, and all the time was hot. Deposit 250 $. A lot of homeless outside, but there are everywhere on the street. Night club - neighbors with the hotel. In this case we should close the windows and without air conditioner at night it was hot.

-Fantastic setup, good location right in downtown Venice Beach, close to everything. -walkable to both Santa Monica Pier (about a mile, but it's on the beach and safe and pretty) and about a half mile to the canals -Clean, large, rooms with big windows that open on city or ocean views (both are great) - thoughtful staff, and I'm greatful they were able to accommodate an early check in

-a little loud at night, but not too bad, just nature of the location being on a busy tourist and socal area

I really liked the clean, simple, airy accommodations. you get a great ocean view in the partial view rooms because you are right on the boardwalk. The staff is excellent. Steps away is a great ale house that is always lively, and restaurants and small markets right on the boardwalk.

Beds were too hard for my back. In fairness, I can’t sleep on firm mattresses because of my back and the staff were helpful in making me more comfortable the following night. This is not a typical quiet beach retreat. This place is great for those wanting to experience Venice Beach authentically.

I love the rm. It was clean and comfortable. I'd recommend it except for the fact there's no parking which ended up costing me a lot more $$

Parking. Free parking. I wouldn't even mind paying for valet parking but u have to park 4-6 blocks away. U know how many times ppl forget stuff on their cars & have to go retrieve it. When u have to walk blocks u don't want to buy have to. So all the Xtra walking makes u not want to do as much.

Location is what you are paying for here. The room was clean and cute. The ocean view was amazing. Bed was comfortable.

I dont like that you can hear the bums at night screaming at 3 or 4 in the morning on the beach. You can hear constant yelling and it will wake you up. Silly but i didn’t like that there wasn’t a full body mirror to check my outfits out before going out. Most hotels have full body mirrors. Maybe put one behind the entry door or infront of bathroom door? This is not a resort, keep it in mind. really you are paying for location of stay.

The location was great, walkable to everything. Hotel had good wifi and the room was spacious

The elevator is painfully slow, and the rooms can be on high floors. Could be a problem if stairs are an issue. No AC was fine but is worth noting it got hot. The room lacked storage space for suitcases and had only one bed and a small table

I like the fact that no matter what room you get, you could pretty much see the ocean out the window. All the reviews said the noise was bad, but I didn’t think it was bad at all and they provide earplugs just in case it gets too loud out your window.

You really have to look for a good deal on parking in the area.
