Labranda Riviera Hotel & Spa

The staff was very helpful. Any problem I had was solved within short time. We could stay in the room longer on the check-out day for free what was very handy with a small kid and we could enjoy our last day on the beach. They helped me to eat gluten free but an advice for everyone who has the same issue: always ask the staff as the small notes next to the food are incorrect. It is very close to the ferry. The parking is free

The breakfast was very simple. The selection was poor for a 4* hotel. After few days it was very boring. The quality of the cheese, cold cut, bakery even the fruit was very poor. During dinner we always found something tasty in the buffet but most of the food were not great.

Pool was good (large, clean), and a lot of sit free. Personnel was very friendly. The singing band was great and we loved it. The buffet was diverse and overall well done. Bar was enough personnel and good value. Indoor pool and jacuzzi were clean and warm. Water dispensers on the floor are great. Lots of towels, comfortable beds, efficient reception, and friendly cleaning team. Rooms are very quiet (despite karaoke in the evening), thanks to good isolation. AC worked very well. There are 2 small spots for swimming in the sea very close and all facilities needed to visit islands around at a reasonable price.

Animation team (2 young ladies) were totally demotivated. They did not only screw up the music, but also show twice a day how much they do not want to speak with the clients. The coffee for breakfast is not good. A water dispensers in the dinner hall would be great.

The hotel staff were friendly from the minute I arrived until I left.The best one being Alexandra in reception. I arrived and due to an error in the room booking...I asked for a partial sea view but got a garden view I was told on checkin. Alexandria spoke to another member of staff and immediately gave me a free room upgrade to a full sea view room. I was delighted. It was my birthday during my trip and i felt thoroughly spoilt by hotel.. I got some wonderful carrot cake present in my room when I returned on my birthday. Also later that evening I got a knock on the door and was handed a bottle of red wine and a big wine glass. As a solo traveller this felt like I was not alone. The food was so good. I only had breakfast each day and one day had dinner. I was so full after eating as the choices were amazing on the hotel restaurant. I treated myself every morning to a cooked breakfast, salad, fruit and cake!! I am gluten intolerant and was given gluten free bread every morning when I asked for it. I had a great time

When booking the hotel I asked for a shuttle service from the airport to the hotel on arrival. As the booking process offered it. Hotel said this wasn't available but they could offer a taxi costing 40 euros. I agreed as I didn't know any better. On arrival to the hotel i found there was a bus I could have taken for 2 euros. I didnt like that this was not even given as ab alternative way to get to the hotel as the bus stop was only 5 mins walk from the hotel . This is my only negative.

The Spa staff was amazing and so kind/attentive. Lucia is an asset but the entire staff was great. My dog passed away during the trip, but the entire team was lovely and kind. I felt supported. The room and the partial ocean view location I paid for was great. The room was roomy and well maintained. The balcony was huge and had a very good ocean view that helped as I spent a lot of my time reflecting on time with my dog from it. The restaurant, Byblos, was great!

The breakfast wasn't great. It was just ok. There was a wide selection, but much of the warm food was overcooked. The hotel was quite crowded and the lifts were quite overtaxed and always had a long wait. The halls on the room floors could use more frequent cleaning. Lastly, they should make it easier to just put spend on the room and then pay the bill at the end.

The room was excellent with a marvellous view of the islands and the sea. Very clean and with all that's necessary for comfort. Breakfast was sumptuous with a wide variety of options and all deliciously prepared. The many culinary outlets within the hotel were just as welcoming and enjoyable. The location was chosen for it being away from the traffic. Besides it provided a great opportunity for a short trip to Gozo and back.

Ours was a very short stay this time, and every minute spent at the hotel was better than our expectations. We were highly satisfied with the service and the ambience. We can truthfully say that we intend to become regular customers.

Location, staff, service were all above our expectations. Hotel is located just next to the sea, you can enjoy your breakfast/dinner while admiring the beautiful scenery that is provided by Comino Island and the blue water. Selection of foods, drinks was 10/10. Quality and the variety were also spot on, we barely tasted the same flavors during our 1 week stay at Labranda. Public transport is in 2 min walk which means you can easily access even the farthest point of Malta within 1-2 hours or so. Bus service is also something to point out, clean and air conned buses can take you anywhere for a price of 2.5 euro/trip (I suggest buying a 12 trip ticket for 15 euro that can be shared with your partner). Comino ferry is just located in front of the hotel, departing in every 30 min - definitely worth visiting the island. We will definitely come back and spend more time at Labranda. ps.: +1 point to the whole staff for their animal friendly attitude, it was great to see so many cats during breakfast/dinner, really put a smile on our faces.

Everything was perfect. Something you can't change is the neighbours but its not the hotel's fault.

Since our last visit, about 3 years ago, the service has improved significantly especially food, beverage and housekeeping and it was a pleasure to return to Labranda Riviera. The staff are all so Amazing, so kind and polite and they all had a lovely smile on their face. Our seaview room which was on the 4th floor was big and comfortable and the modern bathroom was very nice too. The rooms were cleaned every day and the towels changed every day too. The indoor pool is heaven on earth, so relaxing and warm. It was a lovely weekend and we are looking forward to going back soon. THANK YOU to all the staff and the Management of Labranda Riviera. Staff was super friendly (specially Tainara and Abraao from animation crew and Cristina, hostess at the buffet). The door and bed size were excellent. Hotel location was perfect for us (ferry to Comino right in front of the hotel, a kiosk placed in front of the hotel with beer and cold water, very easy to get public transport). Even the hotel was full of people in the weekend, there were no queues or long waiting time for anything. Comino Bar has a wonderful sunset view.

Beach club not always available (due to private events). The chef in the buffet was treating the other cooks very bad. In some occasions, the table was not set in the buffet (missing things, not clean)... but we were super relaxed, so that was not a problem at all.

The hotel has many facilities, such as indoor and outdoor pools, jacuzzi, sauna. Breakfast was always plentiful and very tasty. For dinner there are four restaurants to choose from, we especially enjoyed the food and the ambiance of the one serving Lebanese dishes. Almost every evening there are events, such as live music or karaoke. The staff is very polite and always greets you a smile on their face. The hotel is situated right across from Comino island. A ferry from the front of the hotel took us there in about 20 minutes.

The staff is great and work hard, however I get the feeling that there aren't enough employees. Whenever we wanted to be served at the bar, we had to wait upwards of 30 minutes to order a drink.

I love the location - far from busy areas and therefore peaceful and quiet. The facilities are good, food served at the restaurant is always super fresh and teasty. Drink and snack in a pool bar a fairly priced. The hotel is very clean. Entertainment team is doing a great job providing all sorts of activities for the guests.

Just a small criticism about pool area. Some tiles around the main pool are very, very wobbly. I could see some elderly guests tripping over. This should be fixed ASAP. Our room was above back entrance to the restaurant. Early morning deliveries and the staff leaving after their shift around 11pm meant a lot of noise coming from outside. So sleeping with a window open wasn't really an option.
