The hotel is right in the Centro district, just three blocks from the Malecón. The rooms are modern and clean and the staff is very friendly. The balcony has a full glass doors which bring in lots of light and views. Each room has split airconditioning and is very quiet.

Our room faced the street and we could hear the occasional car or people at night. The balcony door and windows let in quite a bit of sound. A solution would be for the hotel to put a pedestal fan in each room which can be used to generate white noise.

Location is wonderful… walking distance to many restaurants and the malecon. Pool is pleasant and quiet ( though not heated !) Staff is very friendly, welcoming, and helpful with requests. The hotel is very clean and neat.

Lighting in room was dim making it hard to read, apply makeup, etc. There were limited electrical outlets in the room, making it difficult to plug in smart phones and watches, Cpap machine, hairdryer, etc. The shower water pressure was quite low but that may be something that can’t be remedied. The room had only one chair for seating besides the bed. We asked for and got another, though. We would have like a couple of drinking glasses for brushing our teeth! Our room did not have a closet so we had to ask for a clothes rack, which we got, but we had no hangers!

It was excellent, since we arrived people at the front desk were very polite and friendly. There was a problem with my air conditioner on the first night and we couldn’t sleep well but we arrived at the hotel after dinner around 12:00 in the mid night and there close the office at 11:00pm but next day they fixed it right away and and after then everything was perfect. I do recommend this hotel, is close to malecón where you can walk and there are a lot of stores and restaurants; it is about 3 to 4 minutes walking distance to the malecón. The reviews of other people before me helped me to take this hotel, I hope this one help you a little.

They did not check the room air conditioner right before we arrived or with us when we arrived.

The property was just as advertised other than we did not have a balcony. We talked to the front desk and they said we could change rooms the next day and we did. Just a note that the rooms on the first floor, facing the street do not have balconies but the rest do I believe. The pool area was small but not crowded. This is a great, new hotel tucked away two blocks from the Malecon on a fairly quiet street. We would stay again.

The only negative would be that there are no fridges in the rooms. There aren’t a ton of outlets either but we managed.

We thought they had done a very good job of providing a new construction comfort and design to the hotel. Attractive pool area, rooftop patio with view of city and ocean. Great beds and pillows. Important for me. Nice shower, air conditioning, reception and friendly, helpful staff.

They could add just a few more amenities such as a small fridge and coffeemaker in each room. Some had the fridge, some not. The first night, a Saturday, unfortunately, was extremely noisy from a neighbor across the street (not the hotel’s fault but impossible to sleep) but the rest of the week was quiet.

Great location just a few blocks off the Malecon - close enough for an easy walk and far enough that the street is quiet and we didn't hear street noise or party-goers at night. Our room were very spacious and clean; we had hot showers with good water pressure, clean linens and towels, and a well-functioning air conditioner. There was plenty of storage space for clothes, convenient outlet locations, and good lighting. The pool and lounge area is small but very nice, and gets plenty of sunshine during the day - it was a perfect place to sit, read a book, and relax. The roof-top patio lounge is absolutely lovely for taking-in the view or watching the sunset with a glass of wine. The service at Blaze was so friendly!!! There was always an attendant available at the front desk, and every one we met was friendly and helpful.

The biggest drawback of this hotel is the paper-thin walls. Bring ear plugs. We heard a lot of conversations at all hours of the night and morning. This is NOT a good hotel option for loud families or groups of party-goers. We felt that the hotel attendants tried their best to manage the noise, but there's only so much they could do. Also - the rooms were very basic, lacking extras such as a coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, a safe, or iron/ironing board. I requested a hair blow dryer from the front desk, and they quickly brought one. The toiletries in the room included shampoo, but no conditioner.

My husband and I loved the location. It's really close to the beginning of el malecón. The staff was awesome and very helpful. The room was very spacious too, and it had a full sized fridge. Bed was so comfy!

The walls are very thin so you hear everything outside and around you. We heard when people would leave their hotel rooms, etc. The a/c would make a clicking sound, and on the first night it kept waking us up. But you do get used to it. Wish this place had a microwave. Lighting is also not great.

The location is superb, 2 short blocks to the Malecon but also quiet.. The staff were awesome, they were able to accommodate our request for a coffee maker and later checkout. The rooms are clean and sufficient with nothing fancy. My only beef with the rooms were the lighting, it wasn't great for doing makeup or doing hair. We did use the pool which was rarely in use. It was nice to cool off in but not desirable to hang out all day unless you don't mind an enclosed space with high walls, which has been made to look as nice as possible. We'd recommend and would stay again for an economical stay near all the amenities.

The hotel is very clean and modern. The location was excellent. The beach is only a few blocks down the street, there are restaurants, bars and nightclubs, and convenience stores minutes away yet it is situated in a quiet neighborhood. It was an easy to walk to everything in zona centro. The rooftop had a wonderful view of the bay. It was nice to stay at a hotel with a pool. The housekeeping was amazing. They always added special touches.

The walk to zona romántico was a little further than I anticipated, however it is a nice scenic one. The room did not have a coffee maker or refrigerator.

In some rooms there is no Wifi, otherwise perfect place to stay
