Perfect location in the heart of the Romantic Zone! Walking distance to everywhere, two blocks from the beach, the hotel is decorated beautifully, there are gorgeous plants EVERYWHERE, the staff is super friendly, the rooms are a good size, the value is good. The cleanliness is great. The AC blew ice cold.

This is a not a "Upscale" Hotel, This is a great priced hotel in Mexico. Honestly my biggest complaint was the pillow being hard as a rock but I just used my travel pillow instead and that worked out fine for me. The shower head sprayed water in every direction and could be updated, the water pressure and temperatures were great though

The location was great. You could walk to the beach and all things of interest easily. The pool, although small was great for cooling off and there were enough sun chairs to use which was a bonus.

We were there during Easter time. We knew it would be noisy - but there was a lot of loud talking in the main courtyard well past the stated quiet time of 10p.m on several evenings. No staff member seemed to bother telling these noisy people to be quiet. I am not sure why this was not done - perhaps not to affend the noise makers? But the other paying guests were probably as unimpressed as we were !! Rules about being quiet NEED to be upheld. The general noise of the restaurants and bars nearby did not affect the quiet of the hotel - just the noisy guests who decided that the outdoor space of the hotel could be used well into the wee hours of the morning.

Posada de Roger offers incredible value. The location is fantastic-- right in the middle of the Zona Romantica and just a couple of blocks from the beach. The hotel has a small but lovely pool, several beautiful patios with plants (we even spotted rare birds hanging around them!), and even a kitchen that guests can use. The views of the hillsides are beautiful and the rooms are comfortable. Staff is always available and happy to help with anything you need. I knew it would be great, but I thought the value for the price was exceptional.

I liked everything and have no complaints. Some travelers might be bothered that there is a fair amount of ambient noise due to the location of the hotel. There are lots of bars and parties in the immediate area. If you need complete peace and quiet I'd recommend a different neighborhood.

Best aspect of this property is location, location, location. Right in the heart of the Zona Romantica, with some of the best restaurants on the same street, ATMs nearby, two blocks from the Malecon. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was a bit small which made it hard to really unpack. Bed was very comfortable, room was clean, shower was hot and internet worked well. Everything really important was perfect. Given it's location it was surprisingly quiet at night, helped by our room being on the inside of the courtyard, furthest from the street. Nice little pool to relax around. Would definitely stay again.

We LOVED this hotel! the location was fantastic, the interior was wonderfully decorated, the staff was kind and accommodating, there was a communal kitchen which was great for saving money by just doing cereal for breakfast, and the maintenance was quick to respond when we had a small issue late at night! We would highly recommend to anyone wanting a great place to stay!

It is really hard to think of anything I didn’t like… I guess the location was a little bit noisy, but that comes with being in the middle of the Romantic Zone!

The location is perfect and the place looks cute. The price value is good for the room, I got an upgrade for free and it was very nice, the room was big and the air conditioning was working perfectly. They have a service to store your bags after the check out and it is very useful.

Maybe just the mattress was a bit harder than other places I have stayed but overall everything was good. I think they do not have elevator, so carrying the bags upstairs was a bit of a trouble but manageable.

I really liked the location of my room off the main road. The a/c was very good, the roof-top community kitchen and free pure water for drinking. Having reception desk with an actual person to call me a taxi was wonderful. Lovely atmosphere.

Nothing. Of the four hotel rooms I stayed in during my 11 day stay in Puerto Vallarta, this was by far the best. I was very happy to end my stay at the Roger.

great place. good location in heart of romantic zone. Owners and staff are really welcoming and helpful. nice pool. Fresh water available to fill up water bottle. we had an evening flight. They held our bags and we hung out at pool. then were able to use a bathroom with shower to change before heading to airport.

room had a light musty smell that didn’t go away. We were in 107 so could’ve just been our room

The central location was really great, the hotel itself was really pretty especially the courtyard entrance, the staff were friendly. We didn't use the pool but it looked really nice. Our room was always kept clean & the ladies cleaning were really lovely. A short walk and you're on the front, lots of choice for food/drink all around the hotel.

The noise level at night between 12-4am was so loud, not the hotels fault but people outside were loud it did wake us up every night and the mattresses could be comfier.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! EVERYTHING, yes, everything is within 3 blocks. Restaurants, bars, shops, stores, bakeries, Oxxo, clubs, the beach, EVERYTHING is close by. the only thing "missing" would be a fruit store, but fruit is available in the other markets.

Everyone needs to know that there is NO elevator. There is no fruit market nearby, although fruit is available at the markets.
