Excellent breakfast, great staff, very helpful front desk, onsite restaurant open late, spotless room and very clean hotel. I stayed here years ago and on returning recently I see that a lot of the staff still work there (20 years later!) . This speaks volumes of a healthy work culture and that the staff are treated well by their employers. Happy motivated employees equals happy paying guests ! I immediately recognized Luis at the entrance who makes everyone feel welcome and Thelma, who whips up amazing breakfasts on order. (In fact, years ago, she would cook special breakfasts for my picky little eater, who is now a full grown adult)

Since a lot of the rooms face a bustling street you can get street noise, (I chose a room facing the inner courtyard and it was silent and peaceful)

The fantastic restaurant. Delicious food for a very reasonable price. And the wait staff are very good at what they do. I enjoyed several meals there. Just a couple blocks away is a bus to the airport. The Zocalo is just around the corner. Great places to go shopping all around. A very good shower head and plenty of hot water. Good wifi. Nice rooftop terrace with wonderful view of the mountains. Free coffee and snacks.. Very clean hallways and common areas. The room looked very clean with nice looking sheets and towels. Thick blankets were provided. My room faced the courtyard and was very quiet. Plenty of free bottled water. 24 hour front desk that DOES allow check in after midnight. AND check out is a sweet 1:30pm!!

The bed could have been a little firmer. AND I got bit by bed bugs. I reported it to the front desk and hopefully they will try and be more attentive to the situation.

The location was perfect for us since we were running the CDMX Marathon and the finish line was very close. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They congratulated every runner coming back from the race with chocolate coin medals (insert heart here)

The property is conveniently located in the historic district in Mexico City. The staff is friendly, responsive and welcoming to everyone. I want to highlight Chef Telma and and waitstaff Miguel, Monserrat, and Karina for creating a loving and inviting environment during breakfast time. The food was delicious and the team made us look forward to the day. In addition to the delicious breakfast, I appreciated all the fresh fruit, bottled water, coffee, tea and snacks available for guests. The property is exceptionally clean and the beds are comfortable. The cost to stay is a great value for travelers in the area. T

This is a great hotel. I have no complaints.

The hotel is in a great situation and so convenient for most attractions. If you need a taxi get the hotel to order one for you, much cheaper than grabbing one in the street. Our room was quiet and we slept well both nights, comfortable beds. You get a great view of the city on the hotel rooftop where there are seats. They have nice touches like free snacks dotted around reception and there’s also free coffee to go in the reception area. Most reception staff speak English to some degree. We ate in the restaurant one night and it was fine, the food was OK but somewhat bland. Of course you could always cover it in spicy sauces and salsas but I’m not one for very spicy food like the Mexicans! There was something for everyone at breakfast with lovely fruits and yoghurts.

We arrived for breakfast the first morning and weren’t on the list so I asked about this at reception as I had the email confirming breakfast was included. The guy agreed that breakfast was included but we weren’t on the list the 2nd day, a bit embarrassing when there’s a queue of people behind you. The hotel carpets and bathrooms are looking quite tired and need refurbishment.

Location is exceptional, very good value of price, staff are friendly and helpful. You cannot go wrong with this price. We are switched to a room with balcony upon request. Very happy with the entire stay.

Nothing bad about the hotel. However, booking.com only reserved me for two adults for this hotel. However, I booked the entire package with tickets and two hotels, all those are with three people, only this hotel they booked for two people. So I need to pay extra at the hotel. I tried to sort out with booking.com before the trip. After wasting hours of explanation, they cannot not help, not so nice.

The property proximity to the Zócalo square. Everything around the hotel and neighboring streets was well lit streets.

The hotel lobby had a very strong scent, that we’re not very accommodating to asthmatic people. The hotel rooms also had a very strong sense scent that permeated the halls and clothing. However, the staff members were very accommodating in deodorizing the room. So maybe just give them a heads up if your are asthmatic. Additionally, the property is advertised as having staff who are multilingual however, this is only the case during select hours of the day and said staff members are often busy, leaving you to use translator apps, if outside of ours availability.

Location: Excellent. walk to attractions in historic city center, Several convenience stores such as 711 in the vicinity. Room: Excellent. Clean, bright and spacious room and bathroom. Has an in-room safety box. Spacious shower stall with good water pressure and running hot water. Good functioning A/C. Unlimited bottled water. Taxi: They arranged for an early morning Taxi to airport for a reasonable price. Restaurant on site.

Breakfast Buffet spread was fair, Service to get custom eggs and waffles a bit slow. Tours offered by 3rd party through hotel very convenient, however the tour company charges 5% extra for Credit Card payment. Again this is not a reflection of the hotel.

Hotel Catedral is close to the downtown historic district and just around the corner from the main Cathedral. Upon entering, you are kindly greeted and there are bowls of fresh fruit, cookies, and potato chips for guests. The room was large and overlooking a terrace with a stunning view. The bed was very comfy and 2 complimentary bottles of water and 2 small chocolates were available in the room. Nice lighting over the bed for reading, and a large flat screen tv with easy viewing from the bed as well. Need things to do? There were games available for the asking. There is also a restaurant on site with good food and very reasonable priced. I went for a walkabout and plenty of shopping opportunities.

We arrived on a very early flight but we could sit comfortably in reception where there was complimentary coffee, water, guayabas, peanuts and biscuits. We went out at 8 to see some sights and returned after lunch by which time our room was ready. There was a locked room to store our luggage. Coffee-making materials in the room were topped up every day. Complimentary coffee was available on the roof terrace. A very well-run hotel with excellent staff. An excellent location very close to the Zocalo and cathedral and the Zocalo and Allende Metro stations. Perfect for visiting Mexico City. A very good, reasonably priced restaurant with a particularly good selection of beers.
