The host Mohammed was very helpful with arrangements and with the parking. He checked in to see if we were good and offered us some Moroccan mint tea which was really nice. The room was nicely decorated, comfy and spacious with a clean bathroom. Breakfast on the terrace was lovely with great views of the town. The ladies that make the breakfast make the best coffee, it’s piping hot! Location wise the riad is in a prime area as it’s only a 5 minute walk to the main square and medina and it’s near the road too and parking.

The room when we got there was cold but they do give you a thick blanket, so just make sure you wrap up warm at night. There was noise outside late at night past midnight, as teens were playing football in the street or just chitchatting till late.

Mohamed and Fatima made our stay in this beautiful Blue City wonderful. The communication was excellent, and Mohamed speakes excellent English and helped us make arrangements for transportation back to Tangier with a stop in Akchour for some hiking. The location of the Riad is perfect. It's just far enough away from the main square that it is quiet at night, but close enough, you just need to walk a couple of streets and you are in the main shopping area with tons of choices for restaurants and shops. There is no need for a taxi or car here, but there is parking nearby if you need it. Breakfast was amazing on the rooftop terrace. Now for the best part.... the Riad is absolutely beautiful and unique. The art and decor are authentic. The beds are comfortable, and the linens of nice quality and the air-conditioning is an absolute must in July. I think I am a bit spoiled with my first experience in a Riad. Riad La Santa has set a very high bar. We still have a bit more travel to do here in this amazing and beautiful country, and I think I will be hard pressed to find other lodging to compete with Riad La Santa for price and quality. I am very pleased with my choice to stay here and would definitely stay here again if I am ever lucky enough to come back to Chefchaouen.

We love our room of the riad. It was cozy and nice. The bed was comfortable with white sheets. The toilet and bath were clean as well. You need to bring your own toiletries though. We always brought ours so it wasn’t a probem. No hair dryers in the room so you need to bring your own too. Breakfast was on the top floor. So guests need to walk up. The lady setving us was hospitable and nice. The riad was very near a popular restaurant. (Bab SSour)

The name of the riad was not visible from the walk way so we just have to rely on our map. The good neighbors were kind enough to point it to us.

A Beautiful Stay at Hotel Riad la Santa I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Riad la Santa! The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The Riad itself is stunning, with its traditional architecture and charming, authentic design that made me feel like I was stepping back in time. One of the highlights was the beautiful terrace — perfect for relaxing and enjoying the views, especially in the evenings. The room was also wonderful, with a very comfortable bed that made it hard to leave in the morning! Everything about this place was cozy and full of character, giving me a true sense of Moroccan hospitality. If you’re looking for a place that combines history, beauty, and top-notch service, Hotel Riad la Santa is a must!

The staff at Riad La Santa was lovely and kind. Mohammed told us where to buy an unusual, high quality carpet and blankets woven locally by hand. The woman who welcomed us was especially gracious and also very helpful. They made our stay in their beautiful blue town a highlight of our travels in Morocco.

We liked everything but have one suggestion - some fresh fruit for breakfast. The bread, jam, eggs, coffee and tea were very good and the view from the roof, where breakfast was served, was great. We also liked the resident kitty cat.

We really enjoyed our short stay at Riad La Santa the room was lovely and very clean, the Riad is well located once you figure out where you are! The breakfast was really good and they accommodated our early start which was great.

It was tricky to find, would be good if there was a connection to a pickup service. And when we arrived there was no one who spoke English so we had to wait around a bit, but not too long. I There are a few steep stairs - this is pretty typical of most Riads - it wasn’t a problem for us.

Everything. The place is grate: nice, clean and recently renovated maintaining the original pieces. The room was spacious. The breakfast on the top floor was good with a lot of things to choose from. And the best part is the staff: Mohamed is the best host: he will go above and beyond the make your stay pleasant: help you with the luggage, bring you a bottle of water, give you recommendations on restaurants (trust him!! Grate food there!) and then walk you to the place, you just have to ask. I highly recommend this Riad!!! The position is also grate: in the city center but close to the car streets so you don’t have to carry your luggage for a long time up and down the inner streets.

Nothing.

Mohamed and Fatima were wonderful hosts and made us feel really welcome. The breakfasts were excellent. The location was great, close to parking and perfect for exploring the medina. The room was spacious and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and we would definitely book again!

The only small negative was that there was no cleaning of the room during the 3 nights we stayed, this wasn't really a problem but it would have been nice to have the bin emptied, toilet roll topped up, towels changed etc

What is not to love about Riad La Santa?! Both Mohammed and Fatima went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, comfortable and at home at La Santa. From inviting us to a family and friends meal in the riad, to the best recommendations and food during our stay. Special thanks to Mohammed who went out of his way to help my husband get some medication when my husband was sick and Fatima who was so lovely and made us the most amazing meals each day. We hope to be back in the future!

Nothing - it was perfect!
