It was a very tranquil setting with moroccan architecture and tasteful decorations within the riad itself. The team first welcomed us with Moroccan tea, we were given a tour of the riad and a map of Medina was explained to us. The room itself was lovely with high ceilings and opened to the indoor courtyard. The breakfast served was different everyday and served at a time convenient to you. The hammam and spa was rejuvenating! Dinner must be tried here as it was better than what we had in many restaurants we visited. Everything was simply catered with the visitor in mind. Great thank you to the team who took care of us during our week of stay.

A stunning property, so beautifully decorated and styled. Lovely rooms, everything so tasteful. Rooftop, hammam, massage room. Roberto and his wonderful team have created something really special. I took my time to choose what I hoped would be a wonderful riad and it actually exceeded our expectations. When an owner and his team go above and beyond to make you feel completely at home; from organising a walking tour of the medina, collection from the airport, always asking what time you would like breakfast, how your day was and what more they could do for you. Everything. The Road is very close to the palace and within walking distance to the main square. It's not in the main square area which is great as you can still avoid the crowds at nighttime. Simo and Ismail treated us so warmly. We have a toddler and they arranged for a kettle in the room, offered fruits when needed and we could also use the fridge in the kitchen. Great stay, spacious and clean rooms, great hot water, lovely terrace, within walking distance. Loved the hammam. Would definitely come back here

Not related directly to the Road but being in the centre of Marrakech means pollution and traffic - but also provides convenience at the same time

The riad is very beautiful with well preserved traditional rooms. They also offer breakfast which was ok but only with sweet stuff.

A downside is that it is very noisy. We had the room next to reception on the ground floor and we could hear both the people on the inside of the riad and the ones that were gathered outside talking and all the motocycles. Another minus is the location which is in an area that looks pretty shady. Across the street from the riad there are the ruins of a house which was demolished. Moreover the room has no key look. We didn’t feel unsafe leaving stuff inside but regardless I would have prefered to have it.

The riad exceeded all of our expectations. The room was beautiful, the beds were very comfortable, breakfast was delicious every day, and the soap smells delicious. However, the best of all were the staff! Roberto has created a wonderful environment with great people. Simo, and Ismail are incredibly kind and attentive, they made us feel at home and welcome at all times. Be sure to ask for their recommendations as to where to go and what to get as souvenirs.

Nothing. Some other reviews have mentioned that it might be hard to find the riad and that the streets are dark and small. This is true for basically all riads in the medina. It's just the way the city is made. I do recommend to take the option of transport from the airport in order to get to know the area at ease.

The hospitality at Riad Azahar was phenomenal. They picked me up from the airport in a nice van, ferried me to the medina where I was met by one of their staff who helped me navigate the streets and get to our riad (there is no vehicle access but it's a brief walk and they helped with my luggage. Once I arrived they offered me tea and cookies, gifted me a map, and went over the lay of the land to help orient me! The space is gorgeous, the breakfast is delicious and is included, and the staff were warm and extraordinarily helpful. I can't recommend it enough.

When other guests come into the riad late at night you can hear them in the lobby but it didn't keep me from falling asleep or wake me up.

Roberto and Simo were absolutely fantastic. I wish I had got the name of ALL the staff because they were great. Everyday, everyone was so welcoming and kind and gave us great help on where to go and how to get there if you needed it. From the front of house staff to the kitchen staff and the domestic staff, everyone was absolutely awesome. Our baby smiled everyday with them too. From the first night, Simo, came to help us with our luggage and baby and we were welcomed by Roberto too. They sorted out a kettle that we needed for our baby's bottle, and the travel cot was already up. The room was spacious and clean , everything top notch. We were there for my 35th birthday which was the following day, we both had the Royal Hammam and a massage , it was phenomenal, Oh my God, we both felt so relaxed and just wanted to sleep.The member of staff who did our Hammam and massage was very professional and nice. You wouldn't be disappointed, book this lovely treat for yourself. The Riad also helped book a restaurant round the corner for my birthday and we had such a lovely evening, they made my birthday meal very special all thanks to the Riad staff, I can't thank you all enough for that. The Riad is an easy walk to centre of Marrakech, bearing in mind we had a 9 month old baby with us we did us the pram but it was also easier to travel around with our baby carrier, I would definitely recommend bringing a carrier. Also alot of places take cash, so just beware before you think you can pay with card everywhere. We felt the whole area was very safe and locals were helpful. Breakfast was very yummy, great spread, great strong coffee. Every morning Roberto would check on us at breakfast, and Simo, thank you for the lovely conversation, always checking we were OK, making our baby smile, giving us advice on taxis and the medina etc.

Riad Azahar is absolutely gorgeous! Beautifully decorated and in a good location for exploring the Medina. What makes it really special, though, is the staff. We received such a warm welcome from Ismail we knew instantly that we’d made the right choice of where to stay. Roberto, the owner, also greeted us warmly, and was a genial and thoughtful host. Simo looked after us so well at breakfast and when we returned in the evening that we truly felt at home. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was so kind and generous with their time and knowledge.

Roberto went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome right from the start. He arranged seamless transfers from the airport, taking all the stress out of our arrival. Upon reaching our destination, both Roberto and Ismael, one of our hosts, were waiting to greet us. They walked us to the Riad, which was a warm introduction to the neighborhood. Roberto also took the time to offer personalised recommendations for exploring the local area, which we greatly appreciated. Ismael was fantastic throughout our stay! His friendly demeanour and genuine pride in his work were evident from the very beginning. He was approachable, polite, and ensured that every need was met, making us feel truly at home. Another host, Simo, was equally wonderful—attentive, warm, and always ready to assist with a smile! The service at Riad Azahar was not only personalised and professional but also heartfelt. Every interaction with the staff was positive, and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Whether it was suggesting places to visit or recommending local restaurants, they made sure we were well looked after. By the end of our stay, we left feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and incredibly grateful for such a memorable experience. I couldn’t recommend Riad Azahar more highly—it’s truly a gem in every sense of the word!

The Riad is in the heart of the medina. If you come with luggage and small kids or if you don't know your way around the city I suggest that you book their shuttle the first time. We're glad we did. - The place had a very nice family like atmosphere. Extra clean and beautifully decorated. We were welcomed with mint tea and Moroccan pastries upon check in. - Excellent staff, they did everything to make us comfortable. - Breakfast was delicious, everything is homemade and authentic, it was a typical moroccan breakfast but they were more than happy to costumize if we needed something extra. Diner was also a very nice cozy experience. - We felt safe and at home. I definitely recommend.
