Riad Assakina is the perfect oasis hidden among the crazy streets of the Marrakesh Medina. It is situated in the Jewish quarter ( Mellah) and walkable to the crazy main square and souks. Return from a busy day to a quiet haven. Sip mint tea ( or a bevvy) , nibble a sweet homemade something for afternoon tea. Yummy breakfasts on the terrace. Michele and Grant were the perfect hosts. Every detail given considerable thought with wonderfully attentive staff and impeccable taste in decoration. We only wished we could have stayed longer and will highly recommend for anyone travelling to Marrakesh.

We loved our stay at Riad Assakina. We booked to stay in the suite which was a huge room, with a really comfortable, large bed. The attention to detail from the design / decoration to the helpful add ons to enhance your holiday (hair dryer, canvas bag for shopping to save on all the plastic bags given out at the souks) make this Riad a really special place to stay. The team at Riad Assakina is fantastic and it really feels like they want to make sure you have the best possible trip in Marrakech. The communication from the moment of booking was excellent and informative and the check-in was perfect - providing lots of information of the area, places to eat etc. The team at Riad Assakina also have an amazing guide book in your room which provides tons of really helpful information about Marrakech, shopping, tours, places to eat and drink which we referred to regularly during our stay. The team truly go above and beyond and this really helps make this wonderful stay a really sublime stay. We would highly recommend Riad Assakina to anyone visiting Marrakech!

Nothing - it was all perfect!

5 star treatment! Great location as it is on a thoroughfare for taxi drop off as it is just inside the Medina wall (anything in the centre is not accessible by taxi). This Riad has been recently renovated and oozes charm and love. Felt really safe for lone travellers. The included breakfast is fresh and plentiful, with an added surprise of afternoon tea and cakes on the sun drenched terrace if you can tear yourself away from the Souks! The staff are attentive but not intrusive. Michele (the owner) is always on hand to given recommendations or help book trips or restaurants.

Had a wonderful stay at Riad Assakina . A place which is an architectural delight and which is enhanced by the warm welcome of the hosts Michelle and Grant . Michelle is a wonderful host always willing to suggest and plan different itenearies during the stay . Always available to take requests and give suggestions for Restaurants , trips etc . Most of the reviews highlight the friendly and helpful nature of the hosts and that emphasizes the point . The Riad is centrally located with easy access to all the major attractions and has been tastefully decorated with intrique details . Great Interiors and well maintained rooms .There is double rooftop to enjoy the breakfast in the morning . Her small boutique is worth a visit . If visiting Marrakesh think no further and book at Riad Assakina for a enjoyable stay . Definitely recommend it .

Michele and her staff provide an incredibly friendly and hospitable experience. Nothing was too much bother and always willing to help with anything from airport transfers, to suggestions on where to shop, eat and visit - either locally or further afield. The breakfast and afternoon teas were great; our room and the communal areas were all very comfortable; convenient, safe and peaceful location 5-10 mins walk from many attractions. Can't fault anything or anyone!

Michelle and Grant are outstanding hosts and exceeded our expectations. They arranged airport pickup, greeted us warmly with tea and cookies, gave us recommendations for eateries and sights, always made sure all our needs were met. The riad was centrally located, very easy to find, each room individually and tastefully decorated and very clean. Breakfast was delicious! Everything was fantastic!

Amazing 4 nights in Riad Assakina. We booked last minute so all that was available was the downstairs cosy double but this provided more than enough space for 2 with comfortable bedding and en suite bathroom. Delicious local and a la carte breakfast was served in the morning, with mint tea and cake in the afternoon. The location was within 15 mins walk of Jemaa al Fna and the beginning on the Souks. There is a multilevel rooftop terrace to relax away from the chaos of the square and souks. The property and location are 5* but what really sets this riad far beyond the rest is the exceptional warm welcome and service from Michelle, Grant and all the staff. Michelle was always available to provide local recommendations on attractions and dining options, and assisted with making reservations or booking taxis when needed.

We loved our short stay at Riad Assikina. The area is extremely central and we could walk everywhere within the Medina. The staff were unbelievably friendly and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious. Unfortunately our visit was cut short due to the earthquake, and we would love to return some day. But while we stayed and during the stressful scary earthquake the staff at the Riad were amazing and supportive and made sure everyone was safe and looked after.

I liked everything! The pool is in the shade so was quite cold.

Michelle and Grant are perfect hosts, giving you a warm welcome and a lot of information about Marrakech. They also shared a bit of their story in Marrakech and about the Riad. Their place is exceptionally beautiful, decorated by the host Michelle with so much care and attention to detail. Breakfast was amazing, all fresh products cooked daily by the lovely housekeepers. One of them also bakes fantastic cakes. Just perfect.

The owner Michele and staff are an amazing and friendly team who would help in any way if needed. The riad and atmosphere were beautiful and a testiment to the dedication of everyone involved. I would not stay anywhere else for a return trip and hope one day this will be the case. The location is ideal ..not too close to the main square but a good walk along different souks to get there. Lots of great eateries within easy walking distance and a return to a very safe feeling riad. Michele and her team are a very caring team that want you to enjoy your stay....and you will!

The weather! Most of the trip wasnt the usual Marrakech weather (wet and windy).....cant be helped but plenty to do and see.
